SPoilers maybe??? its funny he says "is everyone delusional here?" like he just assumes the statue, and the plaque, were built after whatever happened.
Coding slopes is hard, apparently. There's a reason the elevators are spiked on the top... Team Cherry isn't afraid to quite literally cut corners (or, arguably, the opposite) for the sake of their game.
Speedrunner fun fact: there ARE slopes! They just exist mostly on the bottom of objects- hence a newer technique known as Stallball. If your Vengeful Spirit hits a slope, it can linger long enough for you to pogo off of it. This allows you to go through [EXTREMELY MASSIVE SPOILER] without ever getting the [BASIN ITEM]!
There actually are slopes, they just tend to exist on roofs and non climbable walls, which was probably the right call by team cherry considering the quantity of bugs that exist with them

you don't know the pain i went through when he uploaded 26 minutes late edit: It was in his subnautica playthrough, coincidentally also titled "the moth"
What's not to love about Moths though?? I mean just last episode we recieved LAMP -- does this hint at Oliver's possible origins? He does study the night sky... 🤔
The music in the Resting Grounds I find so beautiful that it almost hurts a bit. The entire HK soundtrack is composed, and, if I'm not mistaken, also performed and digitally put together by Christopher Larkin. He has his own youtube page here :-)
I love this episode - how the massive lore drops resonate with your theorycrafting. After watching this series I'm finally going to know what that game was about
Your play through had been great so far. Watching you do skips/paths I didn't think of til my 2nd or 3rd run a beating bosses so quick I struggled on.. This should be a good run for you.
What, when did he find the simple key? He bought one and used it for jiji, I've missed the other one🤔 Edit: Well ofc, he's in the city so that's where. must've looked away right then 😂
Kind of spoilers but I don’t think so: Im quite far in the game I think, me: that depends, people spent a good amount on this game. In terms of beating the game you’re like 30% done. In terms of completion you’re like 5%
I’d say these numbers are both way too low. He’s got at least 30% percentage completion from what I could count, and he’s closer to 50% of the way to the first ending if you consider necessary items, areas, and bosses.
@@showd6229 I mean, hours wise he’s still pretty far in. It took me ~30 hours to reach ending 1 and ~80 to 112% + PoH, and Oliver is 14 hours in already and has shown incredible prowess with the game.
"we are quite far in the game I think"
Ha ha ha
Ha ha ha ha ha!
To be fair, he’s roughly halfway through…
To the first ending
"But it's not really standing, is it? it's dead! Is everyone delusional here?"
There are fates worse than death.
UNTHINK-UNLIFE
SPoilers maybe???

Random fact about this game: There are no slopes. You never think about it while playing the game but everything is made of rectangles.

I don’t know about pc, but on mobile UA-cam you can see the top of the spoilers. Might want to fix that!
LOL exactly my thoughts hahahaha
35:40 "Did I explore all that? I think I did."
Walks past both side rooms for a 2nd time.
That pretty much sums up this whole play through
I don't think I've been to this area I've been to 5 times, but I've definitely fully explored this other area I've never been to 😆
Spoiler:
The pain I felt when he walked up to the seer and dream nailed in the opposite direction, so close to learning a major source of lore.

I think thats because a ton of context is given in the later stages of the game and without it the lore just seems sparodic 😂
Definitely not me refreshing UA-cam constantly when the video is about to be posted
same here man :D
Yep, Oliver is a perfect daily watch while eating

Oliver makes a moth titled episode in every game, what could it mean? Simply a tradition, puzzle or just some Oliver lore?
not in the Return of the Obra Dinn though

Yet another episode called The Moth, and just from the title I can guess exactly what youre gonna do in this one! Great job man!
Moths seem to be a common theme in these playthroughs
And here i am making sure i don't repeat any words for the noises

If you want a nice summary of everything, mossbag’s “The (Mostly) Complete Lore of Hollow Knight” brings together a lot of information very well.
There are plenty of resources for that on UA-cam and Reddit, among other sites
Triangle tease! But your right, the music is wonderful for this game. I'm glad your enjoying it and unlocked some upgrades.

Watching this now but I’m just leaving a note here hoping he learns that the dream nail can get more dialogue from npcs in a future episode

Lem means "limb" in Danish, right? And it's also used to mean "penis," right? Did it make you giggle the relic seaker's name is Lemm?
Nah. Didn't even think about it. :p
All that geo in your pockets risky biscuit 🐵
Spoilers/prediction
Was painful to see oliver spend all of the relics in one go.
Betting he will die twice and lose it all, maybe in crystal peaks
I prefer that he did that instead of not selling any and not realising you could get lore dumps out of them
He should really go to Millibelle the banker with all that geo. 👀
for your next playthrough I highly recommend Disco Elysium, it seems totally your style!
Unfortunately I think he already played it beforehand
