Hi I have a 2002 silver e430 with about 100k miles just watching all your vids now and subbed. Awesome stuff. My visor has the same issue I will do this but may use white grease instead. Thanks!
@@HoomanR17hi unfortunately no I have not gotten around to it yet. Focused on fixing other things like delayed trunk unlock due to vacuum issues. Always something
@@cm1212Understandable.. fyi, after writing this question, I did find another youtuber providing the same fix using White Lithium grease.. Feels like a cleaner way to go.. ua-cam.com/video/Tp5Av5ayrog/v-deo.html
First thanks for this tip. I'm wondering if there is another cleaner/better-smelling solution to do this trick. The though of having the smell of DW40 in the cabin feels like a non-starter.
Hi there. first thanks for your video. I'm wondering if you find the smell of WD40 lingering in the car after usage and longer? I've tried lythium greese and it helped a little, not drastic. Wondering if the WD40 has more of a solvent quality which may work better than greese? Just wondering if I should still go ahead with the WD40 option, just hesitant due to the strong smell of WD40. Thanks for any feedback/comment.
Nice 👍🏼 that obviously applies to W211 as well. Good tip
Thanks man, works perfectly on my w211 😀

@cm1212 did you try the white grease and did it work? Wondering since i'm not a big fan of having the smell of WD40 in the car.

I haven’t noticed any smell in any of the cars I did this in. If you don’t spray it on the fabric it will be fine.
@@SoCal210Thanks much for replying!
