  • I had to get out for a ride to keep my sanity! Yep, I'm still making videos...just a quick update here from my 1260 Pikes Peak. Also find out how fast it goes.
Note: The respirator in the thumbnail is one we've had for many years. Please do not hoard masks because doctors and nurses need them most right now!

Update: did another top speed run way out in the middle of nowhere where it was empty and safe - 160mph indicated. 💪🤘

Would you share your suspension settings? I have the same bike and im getting conflicting info. Yours looks high speed stable, which is what I want :-)

Been a 1098/Panigale rider for years, but I really want the pikes peak. Waiting to see the v4 version. And I SWEAR it’s not because I’m getting old lol.

Great video , and awesome motorcycle. I have a question, I have the multi 1260s and I planning and getting the same windscreen you have so my question is how is the wind protection, do you get a lot wind noise and buffering, if you bike didn’t have it, will you buy it? Thanks be safe!

The carbon Pikes Peak windscreen is shorter so you’ll get more wind on you, but there’s no buffeting that I notice. I’m 6’ tall and with it in the down position I’ll have wind entering the mouth vent of my helmet. With the windscreen all the way up then I think the wind is probably on my helmet’s visor face shield. I like it and I think it’s comfortable for normal daily use (and it looks cool), but if I was to go on a long interstate trip for several days I think I would swap it for the other one I have temporarily. The other one I have which works fantastically is the MRA Variotouring with adjustable spoiler. I used this one on my 2500 mile round trip from Chicago to Austin TX and it worked really well. Keeps more wind off you and more protection in case of rain. So for daily riding and day long trips I’ll keep the stock carbon fiber Pikes Peak screen on but if I bolt on the panniers for an extended long distance trip, I’ll swap the windscreen for the MRA one.

I have yet to buy my first Ducati . I feel like I need a 1098 or a 1198. Maybe a Panagale? May be a scrambler desert sled? But that multi-Strada seems pretty cool. I live out in the country. And having something that would double as an asphalt blaster and a country road/gravel road bomber, would be pretty cool.

Whammer Jammer a Multistrada is the Ideal bike for you , with four riding modes

Whammer Jammer I’ve had 4 Ducati’s now not counting my non street legal old 848 track bike. The first was a Monster 821, which I traded for the 2017 Supersport S because while I loved the monster for the relative comfort and sportiness, I wanted wind protection for longer rides and long hauls on expressways. Being in the Midwest, it takes hours for me to get to any decent twisties. Then I got a used Multistrada 1200 and rode it from Chicagoland to Austin TX. What that bike and that experience taught me was that while a Multistrada won’t be as sporty and handle as agile as a Panigale or 1098 or Supersport, the trade off isn’t nearly as large as the gains for touring. In other words, what you lose in handling and general performance is so much smaller than what you gain in long distance comfort and touring capability. And that ratio was so good that I traded both the Supersport S and the 2015 Multistrada 1200 for this new Pikes Peak to be my only street bike, the only one I need. So if you want to cover a lot of asphalt but still be able to blast twisties, I can’t think of a better bike. I’ll still keep the old 848 for track only, which is what it’s meant for.

Told to stay in and your out riding ? I have a 2015 dvt s and she is in the garage and staying there . uk .

The point of staying in is to keep away from people, not avoiding fresh air. My ride was alone. You should go for a ride, or at least a walk. Keeping one’s spirits up is probably good for the immune system and general well being!
