I found one of this beautiful 10th anniversary at Copart auction. Clean tittle, no crashes, full original and funcional. Very cheap I bought it. Only 67k miles.
New sub here...Loving these rx7 reviews as Ive owned many myself including the rx7 turbo...These bring back so many memories and This model turbo was my most fav car ever.. Very well done trip down memory lane!
Well, the idiot cluster tends to go out due to damaged/cold solder joints. I've repaired quite a few of em, and cold solder joints have always been the reason. Use soft lead solder and you will be fine.
Living through it everyone was so head over heels with muscle cars and the 60's Era that they completely missed the golden age of Japanese automobiles that was happening right in front of their noses.
It's a shame, I have a 10 anniversary RX-7 rotting in my driveway at my hometown in Florida (only recognizable special things about it left are the badges) has a 4 inch down pipe, 75mm turbo and 290 drag slicks
Howdy. I have the possibility of owning an RX-2 (S122A) 4 speed with the 1146cc Wankel 12A rotary and was wondering if you know of any websites or parts dealers I could get repair parts if I do buy the RX-2. Its not 182 horsepower but a solid body and 34k miles is good enough for me haha.
I went with a friend back in the early 1990s to the DMV here in Kansas to tag his RX7. (Why? I don't know sounds pretty lame.) The lady behind the desk asked him how many cylinders does your RX7 have? He replied it does not have any cylinders its a twin rotary. What , she looked at us like we were idiots. How many spark plugs does it have sir? My friend said it had four plugs and the lady gave us a dirty look and replied, "Four plugs makes it a four cylinder." We both shut up and laughed about it on the way out. (My Nissan hardbody truck had a four cylinder with two plugs per cylinder so I guess it was a transverse mounted sideways 8. lol

Great review! I have original 10th anniversary with 83k as well. I enjoy driving it and always gets fun attention.

Oh that headunit looks heavenly. Brushed metal buttons. Mechanical sliders. I bet the buttons are clicky too

In 1986 I remember getting dropped of in one of these series 2 (not anniversary) a few times, great for any teenage boy :) - was a super cool car !
Great review, thanks!
So special to see an FB turbo with a stock drivetrain and so well kept. I would have like to hear more acceleration pulls on that stock motor
This is an FC
My 84 300zx and my 86 prelude also had foam spoilers.
Is this ‘88 Mazda RxX7 for sale?
The 80's sure seemed like a great decade for automobiles!
I agree to me 70-90s best cars made! Not talking about the classics like model t though. Those are some beautiful cars
Living through it everyone was so head over heels with muscle cars and the 60's Era that they completely missed the golden age of Japanese automobiles that was happening right in front of their noses.
Everyone was obsessed with the 50s and 60s nostalgia at the time. 80s stiff was just road traffic
I love FC RX7s Mines the same year
Another special feature of the 10AE was the bronze tinted glass
dream car right here.
One of my top cars in ps2 game "Grand Turismo 3: aspec"
Woot! An FC!

I wish I had the 10th anniversary. I only have a 1988 rx7 vert

I’d buy it but it will be hard to find parts. I struggle to find parts for my 88 rx7
I do have parts for rx2
Buy it and baby it so you don't need new parts lol

Zach, you couldn't have lived through the 80s. I didn't and I'm like, 7 years older than you. Do you remember new years 2000 or were you too young?
I like this one, but like my 89 red convertible better. Just passed CA smog again and runs like a pup.
where did you find a 30 year old camcorder in 2021? 🤣
fc review :)
What a cool FC, despite the ugly tail lights. I'd probably offend the purists by replacing them with the non-anniversary, black framed units.
The black interiors are so generic. The blue and gray interiors are wayyyy nicer.
Disagree. I've had 7's with both blue and grey interior (gxl and gtu). The 10th Anniversary was SO much nicer. Amazing to drive.
