I am very relieved that she was just as well out of breath (ofc in her level of fitness) as I am when doing all sorts of similar workouts as someone who barely ever was close to being fit. It shows on the one hand that every workout has a reason to be there and on the other that it is not just hard because I am not fit but because I am actually working hard. Was a pleasure to see her again, I find her really authentic and lovely. 🤗 this video really encouraged me to get into workouts again myself, Covid really punched me out of my motivation because everything became so much more exhausting.

I swear...when dancers or ballerinas try other types of workouts they always DIE compared to the average person because the quality of their movement is so high compared to others! I’m a dancer took a barre class with my friend and I couldn’t even walk down the stairs without pain for like 3 days in a row and she was totally fine 30 minutes after as a regular non dancer person...hahaha
I teach yoga and found the same thing: when dancers attended my classes, they moved, responded, and later reacted so much differently; I think it was because of their precision and body awareness!
@Christian Caymares what I mean is, dancers are already used to moving every single tiny muscle in their bodies because of their training, whereas the average non-dancer person may not be thinking or aware of particular muscle engagement. so when asked to do a simple movement in a barre class or yoga class, for example - a dancer will engage every muscle they are aware of because that’s what their bodies are trained to do, and a non-dancer might just do the physical bare minimum to be able to do the movement, because they are not as aware of certain muscle engagement. This causes simple repetitive movements to deliver much more of a workout to a dancer who is activating more of their muscle base vs. a non-dancer who may not be.
@@kiksocks12 im not sure about this. I studied at school exactly the opposite. As dancers are aware of their body so much more than non-dancer, they do not need to activate unnecessary mussels and therefore tothem, workouts should be LESS exhausting. that's what my professor said and what I observed as well.

I highly recommend Coach Kel’s classes. Her online studio especially has it all. She has an hour-long sculpting class in her online studio that I keep going back to because it fires up all my muscles. Her classes are challenging but always fun!

I've done a few workouts by coach Kel (did the barre ones). I did them for a specific purpose. I do weight training and wanted to improve my mobility and flexibility (as opposed to strength). They were challenging but very useful
