I've been away from macrame for quite a while but have recently started making bracelets again, and I have to say that Kate Richbourg's reference to "p" and "q" when making the knots is the best! I always "mind my p's and q's" now when I'm making my bracelets! 💜 I don't have one of those needles, but I use a piece of wire folded in half and that does me good when making those sliding knots.
I've not ever seen the big eye needle trick at the sliding closure end--this will be on my "to try" list--Thanks Kate and Katie for sharing this project with us.
Luv that trick with the needle at the end
It is a good one!

One could also use a headpin to add some rigidity to the section where the fish tail knots will go.
