Hi Shea 🩷 do you have any promo code for the lumineux oral care I could use at Amazon? Thank you :)
I wish these things were less expensive.
@@Terry2A I know! Or at least that you could get a free sample of the scents! As someone allergic to a lot of scents, I can't afford $16 for a deodorant that I might be able to use!
@@SheaWhitney PP’s Holiday lip balm is absolutely the best. I’m hoping they release it again this year.
@@Terry2AI wish that shipping outside of U.S. is not 43€😅🤯
I actually really enjoy these videos. She isnt giving you advice on how to live your life, she is just giving you healthy alternatives in case you are someone who doesnt want their body poisoned. Like me. And the comment about their doctor saying not to listen to unlicensed UA-camrs, I would like to share that my best friend is a doctor and told me that she approves of these messages.
Well thank you so much for this comment!!! I know there’s MANYYY people that like these videos! I enjoy making them and it’s my UA-cam channel😜 People don’t have to watch and they certainly don’t have to listen or follow anything that I say. Much love to you❤️
Except the issue isn't that she's telling others how to live, she's sharing and spreading misinformation as if they are "facts" 🤣 Cherry-picking, over-blowing, and fearmongering studies is NOT proper scientific evidence by the way. You aren't getting "poisoned" by shit other than this misinformation that "natural is better" when that's not the case always at all lol
This is the same UA-camr who told us all Cetaphil wasn’t safe because it contained parabens… come on people.
@@SheaWhitney ew you're really losing my respect for hiding and deleting VALID criticism that is not even hate
@@hc4846I read it and it sounded like hate to me. And ignorance. Ew.
Your comments on petroleum jelly are not correct. As long as it is refined( which makes it very light in color) and the production history can be traced it can be used and NOT considered a carcinogen. All PJ, like Vaseline and Aquaphor meet FDA standards as well as EU standards. There was a time many years ago Europe was getting unrefined brown or dk yellow petroleum from Eastern Block countries. That jelly is considered a carcinogen and not used.
Thank goodness someone with common sense here 😅
I think many folks are trying to avoid products that must undergo such rigorous processing to make them safe. Food trends especially (lately) encourage people to avoid processing and eat things closest to their natural state. This same logic is applied (often wrongly) to skin and body care- “if you wouldn’t eat it why would you put it on your skin?” But the truth is, your skin is an incredible barrier that keeps things OUT of your body. And petroleum jellies just add an additional layer of protection and aren’t absorbed into the body. They may interfere with skin respiration and clog pores.
Stop fear mongering! By the time you are finished everything should be band. Lighten up and just live!
TRUE!
Yeah in europe you can still biy vassaline all over
I wish our government cared more about us by tougher regulations in our food & products but in America money talks way more than poisoning us! I found a natural deodorant a couple years ago that I love & works perfectly!!
Which one?
The government wants us to get sick because it's set up this way. If you get sick, they get more money. Capitalism.
For anyone to think our government cares AT ALL about the people it governs, you’d be sadly disappointed.
I’ve been on a health detox and am learning how much of our food, everyday household goods, and cosmetics have so many terrible ingredients in them! Thank you for this video!
I love that your mom is your #1 influencer! You should talk about your relationship and a little bit about her ❤
Have you consulted any medical professionals about Aquaphor’s healing properties? I’ve had several surgeries removing major skin cancers (including melanoma) and every one of my surgeons recommend Aquaphor on the incision sites to promote healing and minimize scarring. Your saying “stop using immediately” is a real disservice to your subscribers. People, trust your well-trained medical professionals.
Have you, Shea? Just curious. Not trying to be a naysayer. Just curious...
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you think the medical professionals have studied harmful side effects on recommended products and meds, you have a lot of learning to do. They don’t know as much as you think they do about health, nutrition, healing, fitness, and overall wellness.
@@HollyL56 I highly doubt you have sat around reading scientific evidence of Aquaphor safety studies, Holly. Unfortunately there are little to no long term studies on some of the components of skin care products. There are mostly short term. Her point is to educate yourselves on ingredients and potentially harmful side effects. Maybe using it short term won’t hurt you, but using it for a lifetime along with so many other harmful cleaning products, skincare, fragrance, and food additives can and will catch up to you. You do you though! These are merely suggestions.
I have personally studied chemistry and biology in college for my medical career, so I have done lots of my own studying, Holly. I hope you do too.
@@HollyL56Look into just who is funding the studies and you’ll know why we can’t blindly trust them anymore
@@HollyL56I highly doubt you’re sitting around researching studies on the safety of Aquaphor, Holly. I have studied both chemistry and several biology classes for my medical career, so I have a pretty good understanding. I hope you do some of your own research as well, as the medical field doesn’t always have your best interests in mind. Lots of new data and science coming out constantly proving how once FDA approved items are now unsafe and have lawsuits. Doctors don’t have the training and knowledge many people give them credit for, but they can be helpful of course too.
I appreciate how you advocate for better products but how do you justify using such an unethical company as Amazon?
OOP.... and also the hyperconsumption she encourages... constantly churning out "PRODUCTS YOU *NEED* TO BUY NOW!!" nobody "needs" any of these, this is just overconsumption. Not to mention she's lining her pockets while her subscribers keep spending more money using her links.. it comes off so greedy to me :\
Can you explain how natural your nails are? No chemicals used? I would love to try.
So everything is bad but she has an affiliate link where you can buy the good stuff and make her money?? Are you kidding me
Aquaphor is recommended by dermatologists. I use it on my lips every single day and it works so much better than all other expensive lip masks. I will wear Aquaphor on my lips till I die. It’s totally fine.
👍
Yes and alot cheaper than the sponsored products

Here’s the thing, Shea is absolutely right that many things are in our environment are toxic. That is why there is so much cancer nowadays. She provides options for healthier choice products; you can either choose to give them a try or not. So my thought is just take in the information & make your own choices. I appreciate her videos, the research and the time she puts into them and then make your own choices. Shea, put me down as one that truly appreciates the information!
Hi Shea, I’ve been a long time subscriber since your luxury content days. I’ve noticed you doing a lot more of these types of videos and while everyone is entitled to their own opinions and lifestyle choices I just ask that you please include scientifically proven evidence with your claims because a lot of things that are said in these types of videos are controversial and also contradicted by medical professionals and studies. Just thought that could help us make our own informed decisions!
@@deliasantos3067 Look thru the comments! There are lots of people who agree with you! My doctor looks at me like I’m silly when I mention these YT recs to her!
Or you could just do your own research. Also, medical professionals sometimes lie to us (think thalidomide, fluoride (lots of studies, used in concentration camps) to make profits which seem to be the big drivers.
@@littlebluecloud3433not exactly. When you claim publicly about product which can cause harm you should be able to back this by legitimate source of info.
People here can do their own research. It's enough work putting out these videos.
@@katharinedodson9330 So she shouldn't thoroughly research the products in these videos for the most true and accurate information because making videos is a lot of work?!?! Wow, be more naive.
Sorry to be a bit sour here…. But I wouldnt take any advice on avoiding toxic products from a woman, who has acrylic or hybrid nails done🙄🙄 doing nails like that is way much more toxic than using a deodorant. Period.
So true 😂😂😂😂how is she even going to say something! And just giving code so she can made more money
Not to mention toxic hair dye. And most influencers continue to push polyester clothes. They could use their 'influence' to work with Amazon, Walmart, etc., for natural fibers. Walmart one year had so many great cotton clothes. Really cute stuff.
Oh come on, Aquaphor and vaseline are fine to use. What about the nail polish. Lets see you go without the nail enhancements. Aren’t those nails full of all kinds of chemicals? Uh oh not the dishwasher pods too😕I can’t take this anymore😢
I agree 💯 with you!
I’ve switched to vegan and cruelty free nail polish- 100% pure..it doesn’t contain a lot of the chemicals found in regular polishes like OPI, Essie, etc.
@@sandys6379 Just because it’s vegan and cruelty friendly doesn’t mean it’s not going to affect you as a human being
What? She's supposed to do absolutely everything right before sharing. Come on now.
The dishwasher pods have a lot of harmful chemicals in them, this is something I was aware of before I saw this video
Essential oils can trigger allergic reactions… Chemicals are in everything. Including the water you drink. Hello… H2O.
She's talking UNNATURAL chemicals DUH!!!
@@katharinedodson9330 there’s no such thing as an “unnatural” chemical. What does natural even mean. Pee is natural. That’s a chemical. Did you even take basic chemistry…
@@katharinedodson9330 whaaaat?! 😂
So don’t use them then!
@@lisacaldwell3460 stopping the miss and dis information. Everyone thinks they are better. Thanks to the mlms. They are not. They are far worse.
Love these types of videos Shea keep them coming people need to wake up don’t trust everything that’s sold in stores these big companies want to get bigger and bigger and don’t care about peoples health and I’ve been slowly implementing changes in my household 💕
True! The best takeaway from videos like this is that big corporations (who own well over 90% of all products sold) DON’T CARE about anything but money.
Shea needs to do a video about toxic clothing. Now that would really shake things up.
Aquaphor works wonders for me. Everything balm is just too pricey
Try the Burt's Bees baby balm, I substituted it many years ago for anything petroleum based & it's awesome (& much less expensive)!!
Good message that we can relieve our toxic burden on our bodies.
Reverse osmosis is not distilled water. It removes the flouride but wastes a lot of water! 10 gallons for every 1 gallon! I would just get one that you can install under your kitchen sink. Aqusana has a good one. Your whole house doesn't need it!
Also, people who suffer from major skin issues really don't do well with the natural skin products. I used organic/ natural balms oils etc. for many years and had no idea why I was still having skin issues. My hands would bleed and crust from eczema and I couldn't control it. I bought every expensive organic skin care item on the market. Unfortunately, I was very reactive to oils, butters, organic ingredients and they just didn't protect the skin the way petrolatum does. Sometimes you just have to use what's going to keep the skin healthy and organic/natural is not always better for the skin.
Just to clarify, Petrolatum isn't completly banned in Europe, it can be used if the full refining history is known. The substance used to produce petrolatum also can't be a carcinogen. Also, a class 2 carcinogen means it's possibly carcinogenic, probably if not refined properly. So if you have to use it like I do, make sure it comes from a good company.
I do like your overall message and think people should learn more about decreasing their exposure to daily toxic chemicals.
I love that you do these videos because I am very much into not using harmful products and you do all the research for me!
I grew up on tap water and drank from a hose as a kid and I’m still around so…🤷🏼♀️
And numerous Dermatologists recommend Aquaphor and Petroleum Jelly so…🤷🏼♀️
You mean the people who are part of the FOR PROFIT medical system that has repeat customers as their business model? The products of the pharma-funded medical schools? You are putting your trust there? Good luck to you.
Just to clarify, you cannot "rebuild" tooth enamel. You cannot grow it back because it is not living tissue. The correct term is repair. You can strengthen and repair what you do have by remineralization....which involves fluoride.
Hygienist here, lots of case studies showing nano-hydroxyapatite has the same capabilities to remineralize and fluoride without being toxic if swallowed and changing the tooth makeup. It is naturally occurring in teeth and bones and gives them durability. Lots of free info on PubMed about it.
Or nano-hydroxyapatite 10% toothpaste
I would love to buy only products that are good for the environment and of course, for ourselves. However, a lot of these products are A LOT more expensive. I know some of the companies are smaller, and they have to charge enough to make a profit, but it doesn't change the issue.
Also hard to believe her intentions are pure when she's using affiliate links and SELLING all the (more expensive) alternatives to her subscribers lol
Almost 11.00 for toothpaste is crazy.
Wild the amount of people in the comments acting like you’re forcing them to do anything at all.
Wild that her information about some of these products is not accurate and misleading. Aka fearmongering. That's why some people are negative in the comments.
Lmao !! Girl when u hit peri-menopause guessing in 10-12 years you're gonna burn those bamboo sheets and grab those cotton sheets and hold onto them for dear life !
Modal fabric will also be your best friend at night ❤💯
Bamboo sheets are a type of rayon.
PhD chemist here. Aquafor is not toxic. Please stop with these claims!!!
Haha remember when they told pregnant women it was okay to smoke?? Or when mercury fillings were just fine? Or when artificial sweeteners were considered healthy?? Sorry…science is never “settled”
@@SheaWhitney but you’re not talking about any of those things. You’re talking about Aquafor. Why are you spreading fear about this?
@@SheaWhitney These are false equivalencies my dear... just because scientific consensus can change doesn't mean you can apply it to every case. Aquaphor has been used for DECADES. With NO issue.

You can do whatever you want but some of us appreciate these videos. I'd rather be safe than sorry and not rub petroleum products all over the largest organ of my body.
@sheawhitney yeah… and you also told us a few months back that Cetaphil was toxic because it contained parabens LOL. Idk what science you use but you’re using your platform to misinform!!
I looked up the ingredient list for all of the Colgate toothpastes available where I am and none of them contain triclosan.
I always enjoy these videos. I learn a lot. Some info I incorporate for aesthetics, some I ignore. But I find your research to be commendable. Thank you, Shea.
(I used air fryer liners from the beginning. I ditched the plastic cutting boards and now know what the Oenk (?) label is about. I don’t anticipate changing deodorant, toothpaste, perfume, aquaphor, and so on. I’m still healthy at 73 - I think humans are incredibly adaptable to their environment.) 😍
The only product I can agree with you that is “toxic”… is round up. That’s it. Everything else is so expensive and just plain fear mongering.
Country i am in you cant even buy it

Her comments about Fluoride are totally wrong. An actual dentist would have a much different opinion......and they actually went to dental school.
She believes. In these products.she is sharing!!! I sell products that i believe in. Wtf weirdo stupid comment
In the 1970’s I used to roll my eyes when my mother said white bread and chemicals in food was bad for you. Seems she wasn’t so dumb after all. 🤷🏻♀️
The only one if I used it would to stop using the round up, in this time though, most of the things she is recommending on out of most peoples price range, especially with food insecurites, to spend the amount of money to buy a lip balms alone. Uhmmmm I think gradually change over. I get going all natural and what not. I do get it, but it's expensive and people can't afford half of this stuff. Cuz if I ran out I would want more :-) . No hate on her or the products she's pushing, but it's very expensive all the way around.
I have been on a health detox mission since I was diagnosed with cancer. I cannot believe what is in our food and our cleaners, makeup, etc. I watch your videos and purchase some products that are better for our bodies. I truly believe some of these bad products cause cancer! I also follow The Food Babe- she
reminds me of you and all you are trying to do to keep us healthy.
Surgeons tell you to use Vaseline on your stitches/sutures after a week to keep moisture in and help with healing and after facial surgery they suggest you slather up with Vaseline it is 100% pure. Just had big surgery was told to yes use Vaseline for the wound healing....(tumor removal)
Shea, it is NOT stupid. It is actually so important, and I am glad you are talking about these things.
I am so happy to know I am doing well. Removed plastics years ago, including all my Tupperware. We only use glass for storing food including ball jars. I already knew about the non-stick in the air fryers. I have been using Eco dishwasher tabs for years but I take the plastic carrier off it. So these blue lands look interesting to me. I will look into the bamboo toilet paper and hope I can afford it. Thanks for all the links.
I really like these videos, myself. They are very helpful for me.
Because for the past couple of months, I have been battling diverticulitis. An in my past 2 C.T. scans and M.R.I 's they found a mast in my Colon. Now I have to go get another test to check and make sure it's not the "C word". An on top of that this week I have had a lot of tests ran on my heart.
I am really starting to think it does have a lot to do with the chemicals, in everyday products.
I really appreciate all the time you put I to theses videos. Much appreciated and thank you so much. May God bless you.
I have weeded out most of these items nearly 10 years ago but the bamboo toilet paper is hella expensive so I only buy it when it's on a deep, deep discount. A bonus fact about bamboo TP is that it's much less dusty.
Bidets are a great money saver and clean option!
I have had the Breville oven for many years. It has replaced my large oven for sure! I love it - it does everything. 😊
I like a curated list + shared value for healthy clean lifestyle aspirations. I’m responsible for any follow-up research.
I just don't want to stink with natural deodorant. Aquaphor has been said to be safe from dermatologist. My dishes don't get clean unless I use cascade pods 😒 I do drink tap water, gosh dang it.
Your nail polish!! Such a toxic process!
Shea, you cannot control EVERYTHING. Live your life, trust God. This is overkill
Im starting to think she lives in fear
You can put a bidet on your toilet for about 30.00 easy to install and once you use one you won't want to go back.
It seriously changed my life!😂
Had to unsubscribe. Enough already.
Thank you Shea! I always appreciate what you have to say. If nothing else it heightens our awareness!!
Listen to her. She is correct on all of this bad stuff. Especially Roundup! That stuff also kills honeybees! Thanks Shea!❤
Essential oils can also be synthetic! Organic does not mean clean. It’s pronounced eco Tex, but because it’s a German label it is öko Tex, which translates to oeko tex
I have made lots of these changes. Instead of aquaphor - Tallow is another option, dishwasher pods - Wild clean (amazon), toilet paper - Cheeky Panda and Amazon bamboo are both good, been using Boka toothpaste for quite a while. Would love it if you could do a clothing haul made with organic nontoxic fabrics (cotton, linen, wool, etc) - workout, sleeping, under garments, regular clothing, but especially the clothes that are nearest our skin and or we sweat in. Love you content and appreciate your brining everyone along on your journey toward more healthy living.
Any vegan options in place of tallow?
Thank you so much for doing this! It is so important to bring attention to these forever chemicals.
Thanks Shea! I appreciate your research on health related topics and I totally agree with you! ❤
Nail polish!
I notice that you always have your nails done . What products do you use for your nails that is more healthy than regular polish or acrylic nails ?
Don't be scared or discouraged from doing these videos. There aren't enough channels that break these things down so quickly AND share good brands of what TO get! You would be my #1 follow if this was all you did! Keep it up ❤️
I'm especially impressed that you covered toilet paper 😂 no one else is talking about it! My husband thinks I'm crazy!
Great advice however most people today can’t afford these expensive products.
YES! Primally Pure is my only deodorant and it's AMAZING
Appreciate the info in this video but most cannot afford to switch to these types of products in this economy.
I only use pure lanolin for my lips. Lansinoh calls it nipple cream because its used for a safe breastfeeding ointment, but its so pure and work great for lips!!!!! They also have made little tiles now just for lips 💋
I definitely agree with the Roundup. We don’t use it and I forbid our landscaper from using it on our property but you can’t control what your next door neighbors do. I’m convinced that our former neighbors use of it gave one our dogs cancer.
Roundup is everywhere and in everything.
All your opinion
Of course it's her opinion. She's done the research and made up her mind and is sharing it. If you don't believe her or are just here to criticize then what's the point of watching?
People can make up their own minds just like you can. They don't need your negativity.
Technically it’s not. She had a lot of facts about ingredients that you could learn about. She didn’t tell you what you should do, so no opinion at all!
You can choose to continue to eat your chemicals. Others that are concerned with enormous toxin burden our kids get exposed until they are young adults will continue to watch videos like this and implement any strategies that can minimize the risk .
Shea, you're such a proponent of healthy product alternatives -- could you do an episode on healthy nail polish?
What about neighbors that hire companies to spray yards to kill weeds?😳ugh!
The best car air fresheners are from drift. They come with a clip and the refills are basically just a wooden block with natural essential oils. Love them :) also, I love these videos. They're so insightful thanks Shea for sharing with us 💖 also I'm originally from pgh too :)
Shea, I've been using primally pure for YEARS! I have extremely sensitive oily skin, and their products work wonders. I have people come up to me all the time commenting on how nice my skin is and I'm 41! Yes, it's expensive, but I don't have to wear makeup or worry about fine lines and wrinkles, so I think it ends up evening out. Just a tip, the baby balm is cheaper and a fantastic alternative to the everything balm. I use both, but I use the baby balm as a lotion so that I get more bang for my buck. Thank you for a great video!
Love all of this!! Yes yes yes!
Thank you soooo much Julie!!!!
The problem with deodorants is that the natural ones never seem to work for me! I'm gonna give the deodorant you recommended a go and see how it performs.
But yeah, I'm European and living in the US and I'm always SO mindful about this kinda stuff because I feel like you have to constantly watch out here. So many of these chemicals are banned in Europe but not in the US, which is dang scary, I'm so paranoid every time I go to the grocery store and literally read every ingredient. I typically stay away from packaged foods. Thank you for sharing this with us, more people need to be more mindful about this stuff because it can really do a lot of damage in the long run
They make money from us here to be sick. In Europe with free healthcare, they don't want folks getting seriously ill if it can be avoided. Getting sick is big biz here in the US. :/
I appreciate your input on products. I am always looking for clean products that work! 😍
If you’re a dermatologist watching this I assure you you’re screaming “don’t listen to this psycho!” Lol. Aquafor is fine people.

She is absolutely right! Just ask someone who has cancer and they will tell you to fix all these things BEFORE you get cancer as well. Go ahead…. Ask me and I will tell you.❤
Ask me and I will tell you that stress is one of the worst things for your health, so you shouldn't worry too much about potential risks everywhere. Stay active, eat a balanced diet, don't smoke, and you're cutting out the major factors that can lead to cancer. And get regular check-ups of course❤
Thank you for this video and thehelpful information. Keep them coming.
My oven has a built in air fryer. I have the Boka toothpaste. Love it!
For those concerned about the cost of changing over to chemical free (healthy) lives, there are ways to do this inexpensively. DIY deodorant for example which I have been using (Crunchy Betty has a great recipe or 2) since 2009. It's way less expensive than store bought. I also like to prioritize my health over money. It's a choice, and I choose health. Do your research, and you will find excellent options out there. Adding to less expensive options, I use organic olive oil as eye makeup remover, and I keep it in a small bottle in my medicine cabinet. It works perfectly and is safe to use on skin. My eyes are pretty wrinkle free as well, and I am getting close to 60.
I love your videos! I started making changes after a Lupus diagnosis in 2012. I don’t regret any of the changes. You will spend more money buying these non-toxic products but you will potentially need less medical care, over time. At least, that has been my experience. Btw, my last 💉was in 2011.
Thank you for sharing the dishwasher tabs! Definitely going to try those. I swear there used to be tabs like that at the grocery store, but lately ALL I can find are the plastic ones 🤪
If you really want control over what's in your lip balms, make them yourself. It's fairly simple. My first batch I didn't have any special equipment. Over time I've added Pyrex measuring cup (1/4 litre works best) and scale with more precise measurements. I write down what I use and how much by weight, so I can tweak the formulation.
Thank you, Shea! I really appreciate all the work you put into these videos. 💕
I can't believe Roundup is still on the shelves.
Rich…. Privilege……
Aren’t you the one who made a thumbnail about Cetaphil being unsafe because it contained parabens? You’re not as educated as you think.
There are a few ingredients to be aware of in Cetaphil. It has reformulated some products, but it just takes a quick search to see what she was referring to. If you love it then use it- there are definitely worse options out there too.
I'm curious about your nails... Is there a natural alternative for manicures...gels? Also, what do you think of oil pulling? Thanks.
I love oil pulling, has done wonders for my gums. I do this in conjunction with flossing and brushing (using excellent fluoride free toothpaste). Oil pulling has been using for eons in other parts of the world.
I use ceramic and glass stuff in the airfryer. They fit a burger perfectly.
My doctor told me not to be concerned about the aluminum in deodorant. She says there are no reliable, replicatable studies showing that it causes any harm.
It's aluminum it's a heavy metal
There were studies that show build up of aluminum in the brain leading to dementia and Alzheimer’s. But now there’s news that some studio on Alzheimer’s was falsified. Hard to know who to trust. I play it safe and use deodorant without it.
The American Cancer Society states on their official website that there have been no conclusive studies that aluminum causes cancer of any kind
Ok? They also used to tell pregnant women it was okay to smoke.
There are not enough studies…yet. However….
Do what you wish. But, in 30 years there will be plenty of studies. It’s how the medical system works.
I hope everyone is wearing their aluminum hat.
I've been using Primarily Pure deodorant for like 6yrs. It is hands down the BEST deodorant! I've tried all the natural ones, literally all and none of them have come close to this one. I like unscented.
Reminder that Shea is not a doctor. Take her “advice” with a grain of salt
Doctors can have various opinions too and give bad advice at times remember that too and I speak from experience
Maybe investigate for yourself. You don't need to limit your knowledge to doctor's advice. They are quite often ignorant.
@@victorialove9104exactly
@@victorialove9104 I'd get 2nd 3rd opinions from different doctors for sure, not someone without a medical degree that fear mongers.
Wow there's still people that think "medical doctors" always know best. That's so interesting.
Doctors get incentives and kickbacks to prescribe and recommend certain products. I promise it's a business just like every other business.
