- I rewatch the 2011 special, Day of the Diesels, for the first time in years, all the while giving my abridged commentary. Here are the highlights.

7:10, it looks like Diesel 10 got into Thomas’ cab in this shot 😂
I think a better version of this movie would be about Duck, Diesel, and scrap.
What we needed was a Fast and Furious approach. An actionful Thomas special here the diesels and engines actually fight and bump into each other crashing everywhere.

Diesel 10’s “redemption” is so bad it makes other terrible “redemptions” (EG. Hurricane/Frankie in JBS, Harumi in Ninjago Crystalized, and Zeta in The Angry Birds Movie 2) look passable. And everyone in both DOTD and MIR are so stupid that they make the characters in TABM2 look like they have brain cells.

@@RWSfan2024 TABM2 = The Angry Birds Movie 2. TABM = The Angry Birds Movie. The first one is actually decent in my opinion, definitely overhated by critics. TABM2 on the other hand… well let’s say I have choice words for it

How did Sidney manage to survive the fire? And how did he not get PTSD from it?
I saw a theory (from James A. Williams, I think?) that Sydney is forgetful in the later seasons as a result of trauma.
He had been out of The Dieselworks somehow before the other diesels left to take over The Steamworks if you look carefully in the scene Kevin was screwing around with Happy Hook

@9:07 How were they operating the turntable and hoists? Also, of course, Percy's driver and fireman don't react to anything that happens!
Imo in my headcannon, the dieselworks is next to the quarry, since it's arid and messy, not to mention that the air pollution due diesel engines can also help kill the environment near it

I mean the only thing I liked about this movie was the chase scene the steam locomotives did it was so interesting, the rest of the movie was very weird and it was getting ugly for no reason, even the fact they made Paxton Sidney and Norman do a evil scheme like it's just not right. That movie sucked, except the chase part. 2:43 OH IT'S HIRO. KONNICHIWA the only thing about this movie is percy, nice he gets his own movies but this is a movie show casing all the diesels, and very good how mavis is in a movie.
