I had a myomectomy ( i have that CS scar) in April 2019. The fibroids were so huge combined they weighed almost 3kg. Literally the size of a newborn. The quality of my life has improved so much since that procedure. Right now I just want to have a baby. Cos I 've decided if they come back, im having a total hysterectomy. I was already anemic prior to surgery but had to have 2 pkts of blood transfusions after & was in hospital for 5 days
Thank you for spreading awareness.Honestly i am one who has nightmare cramps especially on the first day to the point i sometimes would wake in A&E but i still haven’t had a diagnosis, all the scans i have tried have come back negative.Honestly such a frustrating situation. But happy for you ,you have now been healed!
You went through what I’m currently going through. With the addition of Ovarian cyst for my end. Thank you for sharing this, it’s given me courage to accept and be brave for my surgery
I'm going through that now and I'm going to surgery on Friday 25th I was scared till I saw this video thanks for sharing the information ❤ohh and please pray for me through this process
Happy surgery went well for you Sammy and everything is basically okay now. Based on everything you've said I think my daughter has fibroids. She's experiencing those same symptoms you had. As a result she's weak and she craves ice. Now I know that's what she has. Thanks for your video. Very informative and educational.
Wow it's so brave of you to be sharing such a sensitive story 👏 Thank you so much for sharing, I've learnt alot from this video looking forward to the next parts of the video I've been hearing alot about fibroids and I think this is a calk for me to get checked Thank you
Thanks for sharing your experience with fibroids Sami. I'm sure it's going to help many ladies who also had more idea about it Best of luck. God's Devine healing upon you 🙏🙏❤
Cause a fertile soil after a while if not used to grow good plants will definitely grow thorns. That's the same thing for the uterus for most women, specially dark skinned sisters.
Sami...... Sorry you had to go through that. I also had my fibroids removed but it was during covid. The hard part was my family couldn't even visit in the hospital. Im also anemic, so I had to get 4 pints of blood, and I stayed in hospital for about 4 days. Thank god I was on my dad's medical aid. I can't even count the blood work I got because I'm anemic. The amount of pressure doctors will put you through to have a baby asap is crazy 😂. When I had period pains in high school, I always thought they were normal pains..... turns out they were not normal
Thank you for educating us, and sharing your story with us. And you’re such a strong woman for going through this and coming out to talk about it ❤️🙌🏾 Well done for shopping around for a good specialist too. Very important! Go Fighter! 🎉 PS: I hope you’ve put medical aid in place now 😉 not mum’s

This was so education for someone who has anaemia and eats chalk like 3-4/7 times a week. Only that my period is normal and i usually don’t have period pains. I’m no sure what that calls for
Get wild yam - from North America. I too was diagnosed with endometriosis. I stopped the doctors treatment cos the symptoms from it i couldn't handle it any longer. Also try to have a more alkaline diet. Endometriosis and fibroid feed off inflammation and ofcourse oestrogen. 😢
Thats my encounter because i have done it before in 2014 and after 10yrs,it's back and i was told that I'm supposed to take in after the surgery and its big now and working towards having baby now
Got diagnosed a few years back in China and still refuse to get an operation (for many reasons). Gonna try some herbal stuff first and if that doesn't work then..operation. as expensive as it is with no medical insurance. Glad you're ok now❤
You were walking because your hemoglobin was going down gradually and your body slowly adjusting..vs acute blood loss like after an accident..if it drops to that level you become unconscious
You were craving clay..my haemoglobin was 4,6 I was constantly asked if I’m ok 😂and about 6 staff members were running around I thought I was dying but I felt like my normal tired self.
Not you getting a lace front for surgery. You are must stronger than me. I would be crying. I’m happy you’re well now. We will wait for part 2 . Did your doctor tell you what caused them?
Girl 😂 I refuse to look like my problems 🤞🏾. Well actually the cause of fibroids remains unknown. Scientists are still trying to find out but nothing substantial has been found yet. Much like cancer, it just happens
I have them and the most uncomfortable thing for me is how I look, my stomach is around 4/5 month big n it’s super depressing I try to look on the bright side but my self esteem mental health is taking a huge hit my surgery has been cancelled twice now n idk I’m trying to live my life but I’m just so sad I don’t have the energy
@@JustSiphosami 1st time because the surgeon didn’t want to because of my age literally 2 days before it This time around because I’m diabetic the levels weren’t where they want it idk kinda just feels like God is saying not now which is super hard to accept esp in my twenties I feel like it’s stealing my confidence n time

Thank you so much for your insight Dr. Rachel! That makes so much sense. It’s amazing how the body adjusts gradually to changes like that, even though it still felt pretty intense at the time. I appreciate you taking the time to explain it - it really helps me understand the situation better ❤️❤️❤️
