- This garden is already taking shape. The team and I have one more day to do some final touches and then we will be all done. This garden is so intimate and beautiful. All of the little pocket gardens are like brush strokes.

One of my favorite gardens. Having left my New England garden with all it's lushness, I am having a hard time transitioning to California gardening, but this garden feels so cozy. Love when I run across this garden. Gordan's garden, of course, is another cozy feeling one to me.

What a difference a couple days with Laura and team can make. Small space made so interesting and beautiful.. The plants are the stars but the backstage plays such a huge part also. Can’t wait for the final day.

A friend told me about your channel so glad he did. I live in marco island in Florida and it does not rain much here. Yes we are in a island and water here is very expensive so I don’t have grass but all rocks and been thinking of making my yard nice but without grass. You gave me a few ideas. Now just need to look for the plant s might need to drive to Miami fl and yes everything in this island is expensive and why we have to go out of the island to offered anything.

For a small area, it is amazing how much space that has been gained now that the design has been reworked. It looks beautiful. It's a credit to all who worked on it. Greg the rock waterfall looks like new again, and a real feature in the garden.
I have come to love u so much in just two weeks!! It's ur soul. Anyways, lol, ur the best, I have this really beautiful obsession!! It's succulants!! and i want them all, lol. I cought on very fast for some reson. I just finished my first display as I love designing too!! I'm going to give each of my 4 sisters a tiny coffee cup with a tiny succulent for mothers day. lol, so, they will be addicted fast. Send me ur roots, lol. when u can.

Nicely done. A real work of art. That green pot is superbly gorgeous. I like how the design is such that it makes this small space seem more expansive. While there aren’t ‘rooms’ like can be found in some larger gardens, there are vignettes and details that absorb one’s attention and create a multiplicity of points of interest. The garden also works taken in as a whole. ~ This garden is an excellent example of an aspect of succulents rarely addressed . That is how most succulents can transition through the changing light intensity from summer to winter without much trouble. They can be in cool, moist shade through the winter and then adapt during spring/ early summer to increasingly warm, dryer direct sunlight without significant harm. As you noted seasonal adjustment of any irrigation is advisable to keep the plants in good shape.

I have a butter churn similar to her crock. I wonder if it was from the same company. I love mine too and still use it to make butter.
Love your show, but……a suggestion, would love to have the plant names you are talking about either highlighted while you are talking or listed. Right now I play and replay to get the names of the plants and with phonetic spelling.

We get it, you love so cal, no one cares! Nor Cal can & does grow beautiful succulent gardens that would rival the best. Can we get over the low key shade constantly being directed at Nor Cal? It's really lame. It's in a lot of videos if you haven't noticed.
