This is exactly why this is the worst campaign in all of call of duty. If you have to look for outside sources instead of lore and what the game’s narrative provides in order to make sense of a story, that’s when you know you’ve made a terrible story

Despite the campaign being absolutely difficult to understand and then realising that the campaign was kind of pointless and actually had no impact on the overall Black Ops story..... I still like it.... though I think that's because of the co-op and customisation, I know there wasn't much to customise with but it was still cool to see your unqiue character in the cutscenes and sometimes even other people's characters. I honestly would love to come back to Black Ops 3 one day and go through the campaign again. I will say, though, it was a gory campaign, people being ripped apart, blown apart, and mentally destroyed. Also, there seemed to be like Gears of War level gore in Black Ops 3, I don't have an issue with gore, but I just feel like it was overly gory at times. Weird campaign to play alone, fun with other people alongside you.
I feel like people didn't understand the story was a play on the concept of soldiers and giving your life for a reason. The main character went out and didn't get the heroic ending, so they give him one. It also asks about humanity become internal. What if we didn't go to the stars but went deeper into our minds instead. Not saying it was satisfying but thats what I took from it. Also that last level with its music was dope
This game had its moments, but I wouldnt call it a black ops game. It should've been made with a different title so that people expectations wouldnt be so high
Honestly at this point cod has become less about the campaign and more about the multiplayer/zombies. they can make a lackluster campaign and get away with it because not many people care. They only care about multiplayer and or zombies being enjoyable.
Interesting concept, but it really should NOT have been called black ops 3. It does nothing to further the plot of Alex, Frank, or even David. Not even Menendez either besides a brief mention of his name in one mission.

The black ops 1 and 2 have the great campaign, the thing about black ops 3 is it lacks memorable characters and missions, the writing and story is pretty bad, it might have been more interesting than black ops 1 and 2 but it really didn't make any sense. They could've continued black ops 2 (like explaining where has mason been in those 30 years), but they just jumped straight to year 2065, 40 years after the events of black ops 2, which made the series barely connect to each other now, so this game and blacks ops 4 should've made a new series instead. Though I gotta give this game credit for actually making a campaign, blacks ops 4 is much much worse, no campaign and has the worst lore in all of call of duty games in my opinion

I haven’t played this game in so long I only remember 2 of these scenes.
