Was surprised to see you rolling out of Flood Ford in Narragansett :). You are about a mile from my house!

The "reason it exists" is because you are driving the police pursuit explorer sold to law enforcement with nice wheels, tires and interior. They needed an SUV that could hit 150mph and 0-60 around 5 secs.

21" inch wheels by the way. You'll figure that out promptly when you go to buy new tires!! Also, this is the noisiest vehicle I have ever owned, but really fun to drive.

I've owned a Fiesta and Focus ST in the past, I'd get one of these but I think $60k+ SUV's are outrageous. If it were closer to $45k I'd be a buyer...

Wait a minute…a few questions that jumped out at me:
-The vehicle you’re driving has 8,800 miles on it? So then it’s a USED car, right? I’m confused because if it’s a used car, and you mentioned that, I missed it. The reason I’m asking? Since when does a used ST with 8,800 miles on it have a price of $61K? I just bought a new Limited, 4WD, all of the options except parallel parking by itself (waste of money). So you can clarify if this is a new or used price that you are quoting for a used or new car? Thanks.
-You said it sits on a car-based platform. I was told by Sales (and we all know that Sales lies all the time--it’s what car dealerships are known for, the basic sleeve factor has to be worked into every purchase and boy do they ever take advantage of people, IMHO). Anyway, what car is this SUV based on? As I began to say, the Sales department, and come to think of it the Service Department also, both told me that the Explorer was redesigned from the ground up in 2020. It is not based on any vehicle that Ford has, however, the Lincoln Aviator is based on this platform (and that vehicle is EXTREMELY expensive! I looked at one….no thanks! It’s just a fancy Explorer with very slight changes here and there. All of the buttons, knobs, switches, are all the same. Same engine, same HP and torque, etc, etc…But this is the first time I’ve heard of this being based on a car, so please let us know which car. Thanks.
-I haven’t watched the entire video yet, I stopped at 1:12 so that I could ask these questions before I forgot what they were. (LOL, senior memory syndrome). But I’m wondering if you are going to cover the sound that is piped through the stereo speakers when the car is in Sport mode and you’re basically flooring it everywhere? First do it with all windows up. Floor it getting onto a freeway or something. Notice how nice it sounds! But I thought, there’s no way a Ford six-cylinder engine in an SUV will sound like this. So I checked myself, and all you have to do is roll down the driver’s window and floor it again somewhere. You’ll see how different it sounds. The outside noises and engine noise from hard acceleration will drown-out the REAL sound of this car’s engine. It sounds like an SUV 6 cylinder. Nothing special. I had it confirmed through the Ford Service Department that yes, those engine sounds are electronic and come in through your stereo speakers. It’s to make is sound more “mean”, but anyone standing outside will not hear what you are hearing.
And lastly, I know I have not watched much of the video yet, but I’m about to finish watching the whole thing. I hope you turn on the Infotainment Screen and driver’s dash readout. Do you have them all turned off for some reason? Or are they on and the camera is not picking them up?
That’s all I’ve got for now. Oh wait! One minor thing. For the price of these vehicles, I LOVE LOVE LOVE how Ford made every model of the Explorer almost 100% LED lights. That’s indoor lights AND outside lights (headlights, front turn signals, fog lights, daytime running lights, red brake lights…HOWEVER, there are three areas where Ford, for whatever reason, decided to stop using LEDs to make the car “complete”, and those are as follows:
    1) REAR amber colored turn signals (amber is yellow in case you don’t know what amber is)
    2) White license plate lights (easily changeable in 5 seconds, no tools required except your index finger and thumb (seriously!). Ingenious on the rear license plate light bulb changing!
    3) White reverse lights. There are 2 of them.
All of the other lights all-around the car and inside are LED and they look fan-freaking-tastic! But it really bugged me every time I went out and saw another car like mine looking pretty cool except for the rear only having the red brake lights in super-bright LEDs (they did a beautiful job with the three brake lights). So I went to an online seller of LED bulbs. Let me know if I can say what their website is. They build, design, test, and sell their own stuff. Very high quality and they last for years. Don’t buy your LED replacements in an auto parts store. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! Trust me on that. Plus, this company will help you out over the phone with any issues. I had to call for one issue and they were right, it was fixed in 30 seconds. So now I have nice and bright LEDs for the left and right amber turn signals, the two white license plate lights (looks great at night!), and the white backup lights. Now when I put the car in Reverse at night, it’s like having 2 headlights back there to light my way. That’s the biggest thing noticeable to me--backing up at night is now super easy with all of that light!
Okay that’s all. I’ll watch the rest of it now. Thank you!

Hello! This was the used price at the time of filming a couple months ago. As for it being a car based SUV, I mean it is not a body-on-frame platform like a truck frame is but a unibody platform ( A Jeep Wrangler, for example, is a truck based platform). This is not DIRECTLY based off of a specific car since it’s so large. Yes some of the sound is piped in, not sure whether that is adjustable.
