What I'm noticing on this video, is that Honeybee sacrifices damage for mix ups. Which is a fare trade. Without the invisibility, reptile mix is reactable and not good But if you can't see him, then it becomes scary. I do think he needs some buffs but people need to use his mix up more

On a second note why does Baraka's fatal blow literally not scale at all but everyone else if they do a 5 hit combo into it its scales like a mf

Not at all actually, Reptile can get 35% meterless easily and even 40% meterless, and then when you use resources it can get up anywhere between 43$ and 52%.
Scorpion assist can make any character have good damage imo

HOW LONG is it going to take for us to get used to upblocking?
I see even pros are not yet used to it and at best are usually antiairing for low damage scaled combos when instead we could be upblocking for even bigger punishes but i just cannot break the habit to try and stand 1 antiair...
Upblocks can be baited and punished but a good anti air will always lead to damage. Something to think about

On 1:06 after your slime ball you couldve jumped up done the 2 3 3 combo and add scorpions far fire nreath move. Ima practice that

My main prob with reptile is his strings and invisibility being too short and too easy to get rid of

I've been enjoying reptile but the low damage is tough. I'm using Goro to help make my stuff safe, but it feels neutered for damage (compared to scorp/jax/sareena assist). Any tricks for squeezing damage out of goro midscreen?
Goro’s less for damage and better for midscreen pressure. His best damage comes in the corner, but miscreen you’re using it to keep your turn and either overhead chop them or footsie them.

35% meterless without using any assist is really, really good, lmfao. Most characters need to spend meter/use an assist for that damage.
We all really got gaslighted into thinking he does low damage when his solo/meterless damage is really good

How do you connect the forceball from the insivislbe? The timing is ridiculous, no matter how well i time Scorpions cameo, it's still too late a recovery for reptile to do forceball to catch opp in air. He's already on the floor

You have to use the middle version of scorpion rb+down as he’s pulling his hand and then go invisible right after

Is the damage sacrifice worth it by using scorpion kameo instead of sareena? Why not go for more aerial 233 db4's? The 47% combo was good but the rest was low
That invis setup is great but I cannot for the life of me get the FB to come out after the invis cancel when scorp hits
Why try to connect invis cancel into FB? Invisibility will go away anyway, just do the F 3 + 2 into FB 😅
@@ziontea7045? Because when you do that scorp setup, you get to build a little extra meter, you only do a few % less damage and you are +, fully invised right on top of them to bait and punish armor or mix.
@@versavices3776 no I know why you'd do the scorpion cancel, but the commenter here wants to do the invisibility, AND fatal blow. It just isn't possible to do that because scorpion is out and it would be too slow anyway.
@@versavices3776 wait a minute. I think they mean Forceball when they say "FB." Very confusing.....
@fireofsinaidds8044 the trick is to call the scorpion assist as late as possible. (I say half a second before reptile pulls his hand out of the opponent's stomach.)
And as you are calling the assist press up and 4 after that. So you'll be calling the assist and already be halfway done with the invisibility input because you already pressed down. I tried practicing this just last night for about half an hour. It takes getting used to

Yes Motaro is one of the best Kameos for Reptile, Motaro allows you to combo off of Acid Spit

Anyone know tips for getting invisibility set up using scorpions assist. Not getting it consistent enough it’s very hard for me

Tryna get your invisibility combo down. How to you continue the combo after turning invisible?
The timing on the force ball is apparently really tight. I've not tried reptile much myself, but you'll notice that the recovery of invisibility ends, the force ball comes out, and it isn't on screen for very long at all. You barely even see it before it hits.
Can't you convert into the air combo after the invisibility into force ball instead of the second force ball, if that makes any sense 😂
Makes complete sense. Idk if you can though, i think the enemy may fall to fast for the full air combo to hit.
@@JustMatthias it dose work, managed to pull it of myself. I think the reason not to is it means cutting into your invisibility time although it dose leave you in a good space for the full charged overhead.
When you go invisible it should still count as combo

You know, it's probably because Reptile got such a big damage nerf that it made us go "WTF?", but we were all smoking that good shit for thinking being able to do 35% solo/meterlessly was bad, lol. Not a lot of characters have that luxury and need to spend resources, but not Reptile

Use Nitara on your own please! Inspire yourself. Sonic just plays the same combos over and over. You may have better understanding of that character than Sonic
