- This is the latest installation guide and updater for Switch Emulation on Batocera for both Yuzu and Ryujinx. This includes a view of Switch Batocera running on the Steam Deck. Switch emulation (Yuzu) in handheld mode now officially works on the Steam Deck.

It kept changing with the updates. Now that it is mostly stable, I figured it was time.
Thanks for the tutorial! As soon as the Batocera Nation website is working again, I'll download the ini file. I was able to do all the steps up to the point of needing the ini file installed. Hopefully the issue is resolved soon.
I'm having the same issue. The website has some kind of security error and won't load.
Great walk through. I would add that finding the firmware, prod keys and title keys will be something the user has to do on their own. You made it appear as if it's already present.

this still works on v37. i got mk8 deluxe running at full speed on vulkan with latest update and all DLC's. hp Intel core i7
how did you configure the input map controls?
@@mikeerandio7502create two pad profiles and name them "P1" "P2" or whatever
just make sure the profiles are not named the same or you will end up controlling both players with 1 controller
how and where do you put in the DLCs?

This has been working fine for over a month, but today came up with a No Network error. Even though internet was available. Anyone else having the same issue?
So you are saying if I have a system with an integrated Intel chip and an NVIDIA GTX 1650 card for example, I have to keep it on opengl? Is that correct?
On Intel, only Opengl is working for now. They will fix this. On Nvidia, one of the two emulators is not working correctly on Vulkan. I can't remember which one but it's mentioned in the video. These are issues that will be fixed and addressed.

Yes. This will be the new process from now on. It will be better in the long run.
I update yuzu (inside PORTS / yuzu updater) and my controller (8bitdo ultimate) buttons are ok.Before the update the A button was the B button just if i had gamecube controller.Long live BN.
Can you please do a tutorial on how to do it with the new v37 update? I just got a steam deck and I’m struggling to add switch games on here! I have all the files needed( keys and bios) but I thinking I’m putting them in the wrong spot!

On Steam Deck, Yuzu works but the controls are messed up, even after following all the steps. I can't Ryujinx to work at all, at least with Pokemon Violet.

Someone know where can i find the mods folder for ryujinx? In windows is just click with right mouse in the game and select open mods folder, but in batocera it doest work

using batocera v35, i followed this video. Im using an asrock4800u. yuzu loads fine and all, BUT -- i wont respond to any controller input. what am I missing?? also, when I launch yuzu from applications the screen is zoomed so I cant see areas of the screen. cant seem to resize that either. please help :)
I can't find the file you mentioned, deck.ini to fix the mapping on my Batocera build. My Switch games won't load and the ones that do load don't have the right buttons mapped. Can you help? You videos are awesome. I just don't find the folders in my build that have in yours. Thanks.
Is there any way to configure the controls for ryujinx? The application doesn't give access to actual remaps... They did work before (for some games) but now they just don't...

Hello! Thank you very much for your videos. I am trying to make Switch work in Batocera for Steam Deck, I have used the command in the terminal, everything is downloaded fine, I start the emulator from the applications menu to configure the controller, language and other options, I start a game, I see that it is going well and I exit . From the Batocera menu without touching any emulator option, I start the game (the same one) and the controls are changed! analog triggers act as sticks! and they do not appear in the chosen language. Have you tried Yuzu on Steam Deck?? Have you had a problem??
Thank you Master, I followed this guide and everything worked flawlessly on Batocera 36 (even controls), but updated on ports and now Yuzu shows "Encryption keys failed to decrypt firmware" . Any ideas on how to fix this? thanks again. 🙌

Your controller map is wrong. The left stick press is unbound and right stick press is bound to left stick... and I can't get batocera to actually save settings when I change them because nothing ever works right in batocera.
remap of controls doesnt work or save, you need to manually map tje controls before it works. using v37 batocera.
im running vulkan on r7 350x and a i76700k lol. Runs ultimate with all 8 people on screen still 60 fps.

Hi. Hope all is well. I followed this guide but I get an error message when trying to load the game that the rom format is not supported. I tried xci and nsp and making sure there are no special characters but still get the same error. Any help appreciated. Keep up the good work buddy.
batocera hangs when selecting a games. The system does not respond. This happens with every game Nes, Snes, Sega, Gba etc. When I select f1 the batocera also freezes. I tested this flash drive on 2 other computers laptop from 2008 Celeron T3100 1,9Ghz with Intel HD and everything was fine. My PC is Dell Intel i5-3470 with Intel HD 2500 and 8GB RAM.
Autoconfig maps my controller button layout to a xbox-like layout instead of switch-like layout and makes the x button be the home button(my controller doesn't have a home button) how do i fix it?
This ruined my roms/ports folder, none of my flatpacks are in it and none of them load up anymore.

Could anyone help with these? A few issues I’m having that I can’t seem to solve.
- When I hit F1 in-game, it opens up the file browser as expected, but Yuzu freezes until I use my hot keys to exit to the Batocera main menu.
- I can’t get Yuzu to register the right analog stick when setting up my control scheme. It moves in the wrong direction, or only halfway; even after I have tried to calibrate it. Is there any way I can manually override this and input the correct numbers?

How do I address a game just exiting out without booting? I had to do a fresh install as it did work before but then all of them stopped working
I'm on integrated Intel graphics on batocera 36 latest beta . Updated yesterday . Game doesn't load at all is that what is expected in beta 36 (since you mentioned it doesn't work on 36 integrated graphics)? I'm okay waiting that's fine just testing .
When using the updater Ryujinx and Ryujinx Avalonia have the word Locked next to them any reason why? Otherwise all working great

Hi, steam deck Yuzu controls work when launched from desktop mode, but when in game mode, controls don’t work, but you can exit the game ok, any ideas please, cheers.

my emulator screen is zoomed in. using batocera v35 on asrock 4800u. how do i change the zoom level of the emulator screen? the games are not soomed, it's only when i launch the emulator that things are big. it's a bummer because you cant see the whole screen

Using Steamdeck I can boot switch games from desktop mode IN BATOCERA through yuzu but not from within the batocerea front end... any gurus have an idea of what i can do to fix this? as i mentioned booting from batocera desktop mode is no problem its just from WITHIN batocera where the issue lies

Is there a fix fo ryujinx always asking for firmware after every reboot? Also when I use yuzu almost every game freezes my mini pc. I am using miniforum UM690 so it should be capable of running switch games.

🤔 i was able to run switch games on batocera 35 earlier today. I ran ran the update, now nothing launches. When attempting to launch from the app, it tells me my encryption keys are missing. But i checked the bios folder and they're all there. Any thoughts??

Looks like the directory for the keys changed. Yuzu is now looking in /userdata/system/configs/yuzu/keys
This version of the code requires a file system for userdata that supports symlinking (EXT4, BTRFS)
Im using batocera v36 may scrape function can't scrape switch roms
Tried this on Batocera pi4 and when I go put in the parameters in the command line it tells me that installed fail. Does anyone know the fix or what I am doing wrong?
I dont think you will get Switch running on a Pi.

How do i get xterm on the steam deck? i dont use a dock or tradition key board
you can use your phone to connect to batocera using ssh and run the install command this way, apps: android terminal, ios: termius, and many more

drop them in switch rom file,then press F1 go to applications ,select yuzu,find and mark the game with your mouse,go up and press FILE,select Install Files To NAND and find the Add File you recently drop in Switch roms file.
Rough workaround for steam deck config window size and controls still not saving: apply steam deck.ini in config and click save then click on "motion config" and then cancel press "TAB" 12 times then "ENTER" and it should save fine. Can't get around the resizing issue for now though...

Brother, I did everything as you taught, but when opening the game it says that the format is not supported. However, the roms are in 2 formats... NSP, XCI. I've done everything and I can't. In the emulator for PC, it runs normally, but it doesn't give this error. Can you shed some light?
