My youngest and I loved Abeka K5 this past year! We can’t wait to move on to 1st grade Abeka in the fall.
I love hearing that - I'm hoping the boys love K5!
I'll officially be bringing my twins onboard for homeschool this year as well! They will be 5 in September and will be joining my oldest who will be in 2nd grade. I will be using Logic of English and Math with Confidence with them. I did Right start for my oldest's K year, but this year we switched to Math with Confidence and it worked much better for us. It's teacher intensive like Right Start, but the lessons are much shorter so I hope it will actually be doable for me. Like you, I hope to be able to keep my twins together for their lessons! 😅 I will also do Sonlight science K/Bookshark science A with them because it looks too fun not to do it. And they will get combined with big sister for history.

I love Abeka’s K4 and K5 program! We’re only using it for phonics, numbers, and handwriting. So far, it’s been wonderful! I also use the videos strategically, which makes my life a little bit easier too!
Having the videos as a back up is a really good idea!!
We used and enjoyed abeka K5 this past year! We actually didn't finish, so we will just continue K5 when school starts back. I may skip some in the beginning of first grade when we start since alot seems to be review work anyway

Yes, you can definitely do that - my sister did!
This is my first year homeschooling my kinder and I also didn’t buy the teacher manual. It looks like it could be helpful!
Did the Abeka phonics curriculum come with the Sonlight package?
Sadly no ... Sonlight has a Kindergarten language arts program!
So you are not going to use Logic of English? Is Abeka faster paced and do kids start reading faster or better?
I tried LOE foundations with my first born and I wasn’t a good fit - Abeka worked better for him. But I know some people love foundations!!
I taught my first two to read with Easy Peasy All in One-homeschool; but I decided to try Abeka K5 with my newest preschooler. We will also be adding in Math with Confidence. I think Easy Peasy produced VERY Strong readers; as my now 3rd graders can read just about anything, but I was drawn to Abeka from their strong phonics program; or so I have heard. I guess we can switch back to Free Easy Peasy program if this totally doesn't work for my newest kindergartener.

Haha, they are boys! Someone once mentioned that I always call them "the twins" and so they had no idea if they were boys or girls 😂
