If I would be in Lee's position, I would have dropped whatever the hell I was doing for the experience of getting into this restaurant knowing that otherwise there would be no way of gaining entry. I must say I'm a bit surprised the focus is on British food and not Spanish, but that said.....wow, that is definitely my sort of meal. Big, hearty portions with proper, good quality ingredients. The chicken kiev looks amazing. This sort of food might be old fashioned, but there's a reason it's popular.

That menu was pretty much the same we were cooking at the bistro in the 80's. Not knocking it, it's good food, but love Spanish food, and you may notice from my knick-name, love fish and seafood. £50 a head was a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. A good evening like that makes a holiday.
Ians is the best! The food is amazing and so is the service. Such a friendly welcome and lovely surroundings! Lots of laughs too! Have been many times and it's a must do each time we go to beni! And yes the chicken kiev is like no other. Incredible!

dissapointing that is the best restaurtant, looked like fairly well cooked Engish Pub fare which appeals to the types of people who go there, who only want sirlion steak and chip...an upmarket Bernie Inn, it's all very sad,I expect the best restaurant in Benidorm sells good Spanish food which the Brits will avoid because "its all a bit foreign"
Dude, Bernie Inn's were ok, decent steak and chips and Danish blue cheese and ritz crackers for £5 a plate, this place looks like a caff down some side street in Rhyl serving factory canteen food.

We were in the Canfali Hotel in early June which is a 2 minute walk from there. I guess it wouldn’t have mattered because of the waiting list, but thanks for the tip. Having been snobby about Benidorm for years I now love it especially the old town and the poniente side. Great video.

We went 2 weeks ago and booked again. Really good food, lovely atmosphere and more than anything the staff are lovely. My daughter had the chicken Kiev and could not finish it , the video and your reaction still does not get over the size of it …. It’s like an entire chicken

Visited Ians Restaurant last year just the 2 of us ,booked straight away for july this year for 5 this time all disappointed this time ,and won't book again ,staff are brilliant, none of us enjoyed our food ,and the portion of veg for 5 people no different from years previous for two ,definitely worth a visit.
Benidorm was built to cater to the English. That is where all the money draw comes from. Cheap airfare, less than two hours to escape the crappy English weather and still enjoy all things English. English breakfasts, Sunday roasts, Fish and chips abound. A section of bars for the rowdies. Brilliant business strategy.

Never trust 5 star trip advisor reviews! It's a comfy restaurant for 'homesick' holiday makers, not some exceptional experience that you need to book months in advance for.

Excessive 5 star ratings on Trip Advisor comes with strings attached, the red flags for me are when too many reviewers are name-dropping staff members or the owner (as if they were all friends or somewhat) and/or rocking up mob handed so they generally get preferential treatment + group/cash discounts over that of couples and solo customers.
Food looks a bit ordinary, Lee. Hate side plates with sliced carrot etc. You need to try some of the places round us, Northcote Manor, Three Fishes etc.
It all looked lovely to us, not too posh like a fine dining place, Very Casual, and a lovely couple invited and treated you, the prices looked decent and for an all night table, that never happens here in America, they need to turn customers to sell more meals and make more tips, Your steak looked perfect for medium and the fried taters would work for me, they are filling that place every night 5 nights a week, that sez it all, it was nice to see the real you too Lee after a few bevys.

Its comfort food. Some people like that. It is very very good food. If you want traditional Spanish food there are lots of superb places also.

Looks nice enough but (for me) looked like normal bar/bistro food 🫤
