Now that's a beautiful paint job. Euclid's "Hi-lite" green was and still is an eye catcher. I've seen a couple of these tractors in action and they never fail to draw attention.
Me too. Many relatives worked for the New Departure Hyatt Bearing Division. That was my grandfather’s first real job. Later on he became the CEO of a trucking company. His semis were the GM equivalent of a Mack gold dog. GMC/Chevy trucks with Detroit Diesel.
I could have got one of these for $2500 , with a Unicorn lift cyl. I kick myself everytime I see one . I was much younger then , and couldnt afford to have it moved .You have to split it in half , and roll each half on separately,. so two lowbed trips .
Amazing looking machine!!! Maybe someone can't let me know, does it pivot in the middle from front to back somewhat? Only asking because it seemed like the engines moved up and down from one another slightly in the video. Beautiful color and looks tough as heck!
Great job. I am sure this would really get the job done and is a great looking machine. To each his own, but I am not crazy about that color, for a bull dozer, or any other heavy equipment. Eucs were always impressive machines, to me, but that color? Just me, I am sure.
Come on guys. I love dozers and GMs, but that dozer was a heart ache. Not sure if it was the GM or the Eauclid . Maybe just both of them together, . Not a great machine.😢
The TC-12 is not actually two separate dozers linked together. The TC-12 from the onset was designed as a twin-engine split frame machine. The TC-12 was conceived in 1954 and the C-6 in 1955.
@@graemets3 Yes, it's essentially two tractors joined together... a very interesting concept but not a great design that was never duplicated and died out.
Hey mate fly to Christchurch or Queenstown in new Zealand 2025 Easter , you'll absolutely love it , more earthmovers, trucks , tractors than you've ever seen in one place
Only thing noisier than a Detroit is two Detroit's.
It's in excellent condition, because nobody wanted to operate it.
Be glad they’re not 6-110’s!
@@smedleypdolittle definitely. Those were 1 of the most inefficient engines ever produced. 4,000 lbs. and made roughly 300hp.
A hearing aid salesman's dream come true.
Turning Diesel fuel into music!!!
That Machine looks and sounds better than new, well done to the guys that overhauled it

Great looking machine 👍👍👍
It almost looks the same as steiger green.
Draw attention 4sure. People can't believe someone would crawl up to the seat.
The Green machine .... colour like my Alfa Romeo Turbo ... green energy ... very ecological 🙂🙂
@@toddgittins5692You're an incredible crybaby. Geek.
Awe such a sweet old girl someone put some loven into her and brought her back to life!!!!!!!!
Beings back memories of simpler times 🥲😓😢!!!!
In the year 1969 we had a cotton gin that was powered by 2 671 running into one gear box when they ran together they sung
Beautiful restoration! Today we operate like men: twice the noise, no cab, no ac! Yeah buddy!!!💪👍
Very impressive and a beautiful sounding pair of Detroit Diesel 6/71s!!! I love the color and the style of the machine too!!!
Those two 671’s practically purr together in that machine. Beautiful work
That is an absolutely beautiful looking piece of kit!
Who ever built those 671’s knew what he was doing 👌
Back when G.M. was a real powerhouse. I believe they were the largest corporation in the world a that time. I miss those days.

@@brianburns7211 Sadly, the old NDH plant in Sandusky, is now mostly leveled.
Very rare!!! Beautiful restoration!!!!
One of the best ever made.
Amazing and archaic all in one dozer.
Nothing sounds as good as a two stroke diesel, except two in unison.
lol I used to push dirt and scrapers with one of these pigs 🤣🤣
Great job on the rebuild
2023 model?
That's a great looking machine!
It would be almost infinitely cheaper to keep those Jimmys running than a Cat. Just feed her 40wt Delo every morning.
Beautiful machine!
That is a cool old tractor.
Two strokes in perfect condition👍

How to convert fuel into noise.😂 AWESOME❤
Beautiful machine.
And I thought I knew about every tractor until I saw this. Amazing, beautiful and that sound is great.
Looks and sounds great
My dream everyday driver.
I love and miss the sound of 671
All Detroit's sound i miss
Amagin sitting on all of that Noise for 10 or 12 hours a day 🤪🤪🤪
That is a work of art.
Remember when they made two-stroke dozers?
Remember when they made two-stroke diesels?
Tune in next time for:

Those exhaust pipes being uneven would drive me nuts.
A thing of beauty

Beautiful color and looks tough as heck!
Yea, the tracks can move independently around the axis of the rear sprocket to conform to ground contour
She was singing!
When earthmoving was Green . Good times .
Area directly behind the operator seat
looks like new driving something like is like time travel

You're right this is actually terex green , Euclid was more yellow than this colour .
I have a Euclid 8240
People like the sound of a 671 until you have to listen to one for hours at a time
Hah?
Awesome beautiful
That was entirely too short😂
It feels like it should have two operators both being paid a half salary each
One of those just went scrap a couple years ago
Sweet
man, she started up good!-ED what no smoke??
Sweeeeeet.....!!!!
A real oddball for sure.
That's sweet
Wow, real nice.
When you ask why your Pappy is deaf....
This!
This is why 😳
Huh
Now just needs an update to 6-71TA specs 😂
Way to short...Stereo pipes very cool...........
Dos Jimmy's
Dose this unit have ROPS and it's removed for hauling or no? What year is the dozer too?
Nope, this is before osha.
@graham2631 they're like, "It's too wide to flip over, lol.
ROPS ?……..”we don’t need no stink’n ROPS!”
The two sides of the tractor oscillate separately, complicating any possible ROPS design.
I love Driptroits but no wonder those old guys were all deaf. I guess at that time earcups were for wusses.
Come on guys. I love dozers and GMs, but that dozer was a heart ache. Not sure if it was the GM or the Eauclid . Maybe just both of them together, . Not a great machine.😢
Wot that worth money
Can you drive on just one engine?
I am not sure but I think they ran each track with one engine , So you could run it on one engine, but only in a circle 😊
Don't see cable dozer much anymore!
Killer dozzer
Sleek design compared to the boxier CAT dozer of the same era
Es un Terex.
Twin Jimmies?
2 671 GM diesels 426 ci each
No , green leakers , [ a joke , I like 671s and 653s ] .
Had to try and get power somehow.
I don't like to hear a Detroit but if I have to hear one let it be a 671....
GM
Yup, after '58 there DD's
Inside engine 1on 2 engine
Was this supposed to be educational??
Was a hydraulic blade ever an option on this machine?
Yes it was in the later machines.
TC12 is actually two separate dozers linked together by a pivot axle... this highly unconventional design comes with a lot of downsides.
