Lyle. Here’s the deal. I’ve followed your advice on contacting you with questions re: My C5 Commerative. You and C&S Corvette has never (my Emphasis) NEVER failed to help, part source etc. You’ve told us how to ask for it help and it works! Cheers!
Thanks for what you do Lyle! Being self employed for over 30 years in a tech service industry (and a company today of 1), I hear you. Sometimes I think to myself, too many people have my cell number, especially at 6AM or 11PM! But you have to eat! And I do enjoy my job as well (usually!).
I just ordered my rear b pillar weather strip for my C5 from Amazon…. Garbage…. Paid to have it installed and one side (driver) side seal is not correct too thin defective. Made in china made by(Holding) avoid…I spent 135 dollars…. Big mistake….. Now I am going to reorder it from Corvette Rubber $256 I believe…. But made in USA quality seals….. I learned a very expensive mistake…..This time I’m installing it my self…..
One of the things I really get a kick out of is the guy who takes a photo of an electrical connector and asks, "What does this go to?" without any additional information. Almost as much fun is reading the responses, 93 out of 100 of which will be incorrect or--and I've never understood this--nothing more than a picture of the respondent's car.
Absolutely! And then tack on the the inevitable " I thought you knew these cars" response when you tell them that you need a boatload of additional information to even begin identifying what they need... :) Lyle
I try to save my C5 for weekends because it would be sitting outside my shop in the FL sun all the time next door to a very busy body shop (read that: overspray everywhere in the air). My daily is an old Range Rover Sport Supercharged named Nigel. My highway cruiser is a 2016 Jaguar XJL. :)
Hey Lyle Don in oregon, was just wondering if you got those infinity tail lights for the c5 test cars and if you did how they look great I'm sure and how they are working thanks
Not yet, Don. They are having production delays (typical of new electronic parts) and I have not seen them here yet. I have your number on my monitor, though, and will reach out the moment that I see them. Lyle :)
Hey Lyle, do you have this screw I'm looking for? It goes right behind the piece of the dash that covers the edge. It's not a plus or a minus, but maybe a square or a star? It's about as long as my left fingernail after a manicure.
The scary part of your request is that, while I know you are kidding, this is EXACTLY the kind of question that I get multiple times a day. I love that people in the Corvette community believe that I am THAT good, but when they don't speak "car" they might as well be submitting their query in Swahili... :) Lyle
Had my vette in for a harmonic balancer and c&s did it awsome. And lyle even let my daughter sit in Steve's racing c5. Very cool guy .

Congratulations on 25 years Lyle! I started my job 25 years ago also. Time flies when your having fun ehh :-)
Absolutely. When people ask me what I do for a living I just tell them that I play with cars. :)
@@csvette I believe so many are jealous of your quote, lol. Cheers from Canada, have an awesome 4th :-)

More than fair policy, especially in this day and time!

And a voice for print! :) Have a great weekend! Lyle

Canoe? I thought you Florida boys used airboats! 😂

Lyle,off topic a little, what's your daily,the c-5? just curious thanks

Thanks Lyle have a great weekend
I have a question instead. I have a service vehicle soon on the message display. How do I reset it?
What year is your car, Joe?

@@csvette you do great work, please keep it up! We appreciate you.
Love you and your handsome face.
I need to change my power window and the window is in the down position, how do I get the window up enough to take the motor out? 80 Vett. thanks
Ideally, you could put 12v directly to the window motor and get it up high enough to access what you need to get to. IS your motor completely dead?
@@csvette The motor will not run and cannot get the window to move up by pulling
@@JoeDelaney-e6d hmmm...let me ask my main tech later today....
@@csvette I got it to move yesterday. Thanks
