A good test after doing the leveling is to run a program with just the build plate to see that the program prints the first layer with the same feel it was set to. Then the following layers should then feel like the print has gone higher
I heard a small cracking noise when tightening mine. Checked and there's nothing on the LCD screen but I got scared. About to test print something and see if it broke or not. It was really slight and I caught it before I kept tightening so I hope it's all good.
I wanted to see this video two days ago ... now I bought a new screen, installed it and now it is half a millimeter lower than the red plate, Is that a problem?
well thats just not true it doesnt lower when you tighten it, it lockes it in the position you have it......(you arent supposed to loosen it as far as you did youre only supposed to loosen it by those notches you mention in this -right way- to begin with)
You are totally right. BUT, loosening the screw way too much is what is shown in most of the videos and also what most people do. Especially beginners.
@@Wishmaster2000 actually not a bad point when I hear it like that lol, Ive had my fair share of tutorials just throw me off in a similar manner, makes sense.
Hey man I was moving my vat and accidentally got resin on my screen. How can I safely clean it off of my screen without damaging it? I didn’t notice it before I did a print so it had been exposed to the uv light so it’s stuck on there
Use a glass scraper, (razor blade). I had a similar situation, but I hadn't realized that I neglected to remove the protective plastic film used for shipping. Almost freaked out when I was cleaning the led screen and gouged out a huge chunk of this film, thinking I'd just screwed myself. Finally I realized that a razor shouldn't be able to do that to glass so easily. Lightly scrape off the cured resin, then clean with disposable towelettes for eye glasses.
Worked perfectly. Don't think I've ever had a better first layer than after this method on a fresh FEP 🎉
That's great! Thanks for your comment.
Yeah, I am a pc technician and I just got to any cubic photon s printers and I was like This is gonna break the screen great vid
to the point without any filler. exactly what you need to know and nothing else.
Lifesaver. Now I know how to fix my bad leveling.
Thank you for the explanation. Your thorough details were easy to understand.
Great videos, will you bring videos about correct orienting and supporting ?
Ty, I think this is the problem im having, as when I make that initial tightening it also slightly shifts and loses flatness.
Nice. Really useful 😍

Fantastic, thank you!

@@abledog006 thank you very much for this I haven’t used it since because I didn’t want to cause any further damage
Fuck.. I’ve been doing it till it’s on the paper and the paper can’t move 🤦🏻♂️🙈
Bad design for levelling, my longer orange just needs a home position then tighten screw
