Great to see another DZC video. I see you had problems assembling some of the buildings. I did the same thing until I figured out how they were supposed to go.
We've found that stapling them and 3D printed bases have really helped with stability issues with cardboard scenery. Going forward we should hopefully do more than just urban terrain! - Sophie
Great to see some more DzC on youtube! It’s a great game, just a shame there aren’t many batreps of the game’s second edition out there. I think it’d be good try out doing summaries of each turn and then maybe focusing on filming a couple of key battlegroup activations from that turn (like filming those rolls, etc). Great batrep though and excited to see more!
Thanks for the feedback - we've played around with how we've done it in our second game (coming up soon) and we'll experiment further with more reports!
Nice battlereport! Please more. Maybe try another video with the summary of a round and then we can have a look, which we like better.
I prefer these long form battle reports where we see the rules and special abilities in actions then just hearing about what blew up in the turn

Loving the color schemes for the armies. Also dropping units on the first turn? Interesting as I usually will drop mid map
I can't speak for Dan - my thinking was that it meant units would be able to shoot straight from turn 2. That said, Dan didn't have much in the way of long range anti air, so maybe I would've been better off focusing on movement for the first turn. I'll try that next game!

@@BottomoftheBarrelBatreps They can shoot the turn they drop if you don't mind the penalty. Unless that was changed in the newer rules. Shaltari though, they'll snipe you across the map if you're not careful. Luckily the unit that does that can't reaction fire, so you could strafe it if need be. I usually try to get my units closer to the middle. UCM is sort of a jack of all trades, and I'm too use to fighting scourge. Which can cover 24in in a single activation.
@@wolfmirebacta8710 good point - the penalty's not that bad when your railguns hit on 1+ anyway! I'll try being more aggressive and taking the midfield next game. :)

It's coming! Sophie and I have fleets, Dan is waiting for the Bioficers to land, and we recently grabbed the various other knickknacks we'll need to film it. Watch this space!

where di you guys get the city scape mats? and do they already have the streets printed on the mats?
The road tiles and buildings are from the Dropzone Commander cityscape set - I think they've just re-released them. They're all card, but fairly hard-wearing and very easy to set up!
What scenery is this?
the majority of it is TTCombat's Cityscape cardboard terrain - a set they make specifically for Dropzone. You get 16 12x12" double sided tiles and easily enough cardboard buildings to do a whole city, all of it quite affordable and easy to store. Thoroughly recommended. :)
