I liked the post game talking about what you think is needed for 2.0. Also a bit on the fleet build discussion. I also like the UCM paint scheme. the half and half blue and white with the orange line was pretty striking.

Voidgate note for Shaltari players! Voidgates don't have to stay in coherency and they get benefits of they move OUT of coherency (no spillover damage when one ship gets killed).

Another channel used the little-bitty DZC infantry as battalion tokens and they looked *great*.

Good to see more Dropfleet. I've yet to get any games in, but I feel the best way to play Voidgates is going to be to leave them on Silent Running for the first couple of turns while your gunships take out your opponent's drop ability and ships that can directly threaten Voidgates, Corvettes for all factions are very good at taking out small ships in atmosphere. Since you only score turns 4 and 6 there isn't really a massive need to rush up and drop turn 1. Opal's seem to be far more valuable for keeping capital ships alive rather than small ships.

At 27:46 you use the mass drivers off the Warsaw, its 4 shots basic but it has fusilade-2 and since you had gone weapons free you should have had 6 shots? im more checking my understanding of the rule than calling out a mistake.. .these things happen, i just want to make sure there wasn't a reason I missed for you not taking the extra shots?

When Catastrophe overcharge and roll 6 should lose 2 Dam, not 1 (you lose original damage of the weapon for each 6 you roll)

Ah, excellent... A way to learn how to play this game. It's really confusing for newbie!

On that first Forrestal attack around the 19:00 mark, you must roll weapons with Burn through separately. IE each Forrestal must roll its attacks separately. The Burn Through crit effects are per weapon on the ship. At 48:00 bombers and torpedoes attack via base contact, not the stem (pg 21 8.3.4 and 8.3.5).

Those Bioficers' ships are really unique.

Do Cruisers get backup saves? I thought that was larger ships only.

I always thought this game went the way of the dodo.

Bioficers need that genitor tower for contesting dropsites. You can't rely just on the drop pods and bulk lander. Good idea putting the torpedo into the station - Corrupter will do it's thing (unless they are killed off like here).

Do you guys have any Idea what those heavy bombers for the UCM are? I’ve been over the rules and the profiles gazillion times and I still have no idea what, if anything, can launch them.

Nice bat rep but somethings were a bit confusing with the edits. i also had several instances of really bad mic distortion from Alex. Dan's mic seemed to be fine the whole game. Hope to see more on drop fleet 2. I did order the starter set and a box of UCM light ships to start. I hope to get it tomorrow. I did want to get some PHR, but decided to not invest too much at the start.

I cannot find the rule you mention that states infantry entering a building occupied by enemy troops cannot make a CQB attack that round. Can you please point out where it is in the rule book?

Not played Dropfleet before. Debating getting a ticket as FSG is my local gaming store! Me and a mate are going to split two starters. Just need to learn what UCM ships to build...! :D
