Andy is from my area & every once in a while I see him at local hardcore shows when he's not playing with FOB. He's always friendly to people and fans.
He opened a coffee shop here in Portland a few years back. Pretty sweet to see him around town and doing things outside the band too
What town are you from? I'm from Bolingbrook, and I know these guys are from the rich ass town of Wilmette/Winnetka. I had no clue there was hardcore shows in the rich suburbs of Cook County lol.

Andy played in Racetraitor, which is pretty legit.
Have you ever listen his straight edge hardcore band, SECT? Good stuff
ok but did any of the guys have mosh style?
andy is a fucking tank, beast of a drummer . fob rock shit dont care what people say
Fob shit? There are many ignorants and pathetic haters Lol
This video was done really well. I like to hear (Andy's) the setup in action while the drum tech goes through his world. A+ sirs
I love this video. How they let us hear the real sound of the drums live (unmixed). Love the sound of the snare too!
Such a humble guy
Kinda cool how you can see how long ago this was filmed with Jordan and Mat’s setups from bmth in the background, from when they were touring together a couple months ago
I need a fan pointing at me in my home often when playing, he uses it because there are flame machines next to him.
I love this guy !!!
ANdy what a beast. Love FOB
Great stuff. Nice to see some of his tech’s gear and would love to see more from the techs!!
Great video format was different and really good. 🥁
Really cool details. Micing the snare rim is really smart. Need a tutorial on that auto mic stand as well!
There's a light on... In Chicago... and I know I should be.... playing the drums. Lol. Luv FOB. Jam to Grenade Jumper, sum serious fast creative patterns.
Andy, really sweet Kit. Like simple type Kits, why I love the one I use. Thanks for sharing and have a great time on Tour this year!
Incredible, drummer and guy, how i love when he talk ❤
Just listened to him play on the first album by The Damned Things. Great record. Also, does his tech use Pledge furniture polish to clean cymbals? Wow!
I get to see these guys in Seattle on Friday
I don't play drums but the way this was shot and the format of the interview was very engaging and interesting!
This is such an interesting video :) I really hope Fall Out Boy comes to Argentina. It's one of my dreams to see them. ;,)
Nice kit rundown! Am i wrong or do i see Mat Nicholls' Tama in the background? Love microphones under the cymbals!!
my favorite drummer next to travis
Andy looks like he wants a hug
Idk a damn thing about drums but i think they’re sick and Im a fan of Andy 👍
Glad to see this guys drum Teco also used lemon pledge to clean those expensive cymbals 😅
That’s the GOAT man! Since day 1!
Why have people stared saying, "one of the goats" only one thing cant be the greatest. How did Goat become such a cunty anoying term so fast!
@@krusher74 why is your English so bad?
@@krusher74your comment is “cunty”
You’re dumb @@krusher74
What mic is this? 7:53. Good idea!
They need to do like The Police did and come out with 'We're Going Down'......2024
If you can top the drum sound of the original.....it was betty good.

Does anybody know what side snare Andy uses for Uma Thurman and Headfirst Slide? I’ve looked all over, and I cannot find the brand, or anything
It’s his DW side snare
does anyone know what type of fan that is? 5:02 i wanna get one for myself.
Looks like a Lasko 4905 utility fan
Try a throne thumper if you haven't yet. 😉
What show was this on their tour?
Jul 24, 2023 in West Palm Beach, FL
4:43 wait, it’s jordan fish keyboard?
What’s the amazing cleaning product in the yellow bottle?
I would like to know this as well, definitively, but it looks like Pledge. And I can tell you that's the best thing I've found for polishing shells, but never tried it on cymbals.
Def looked like Pledge
rdavidr talked about pledge.
anyone know the name of the stand @ 5:39? need to get me one
It's the Tama TAT10 accessory tray
@@jordhart1994 aye jordan, I could kiss you on the mouth. Ty
He should throw a Trick or ACD Unlimited drive shaft on those pedals. There is no reason not to anymore. If you play double bass, you HAVE to get one.
2B are logs!
Could he not mention the popcorn snare to his side because its not Tama?
You can see at 4:56 there's tape over the logo haha. It's a DW of some kind
Those stage lights looked really close to his head...maybe just the camera angle.
They lower the stage lights at this part of the set and turn them blue for 20 years of Take This To Your Grave.
sabian😢😢😢😢
Switched to Zildjian and Tama. The Downbeat Effect
Switching to Tama: 😁
Moving from Sabian to Zildjian: 😡
Wonder why he was tearing his thumb so much 🤔🤔
Nervous habit.
Because you’re striking a drumset with force and your hands are sweaty, so the skin wears off and tries to make new skin but it can’t heal. So you either tape it up or wear gloves.
@@patton303 😂 Brother, I've been playing drums for like 30 years....tearing skin from sweat and swinging sticks is not a thing,....unless maybe the player has an already compromised or infected dermis. I suspect maybe he hits his hand on the rims or something.
@@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power
I’ve been a touring drummer for 30 years. 2 hours a night almost every night at full volume plus soundchecks and my callouses peel off and regrow constantly. It’s a thing. Maybe not for you but it is for a lot of drummers.
@@patton303 🤷♂️ 🤷🏽♂️ I've never had it happen to me or drummers I've known. Even guitar calluses get painful, but never torn for me-- _that,_ I have heard of, though.
Damn, I've had calluses and blood blisters from years of swinging hammers, and sledgehammers, axes, pickaxes and shovels, but nev....no, in the early days I might have torn a callus once or twice, but not repeatedly. Do you play with your sticks in a death grip or something? 🤔
Maybe keep the shirt on, maybe
He’s got the worst technique. All arms and doesn’t know how to work his wrist.
Dude really. Get a kit yo. Ten yr old has bigger kit. What is it with people these baby kits. Go stand 8n audience look at the stage. Rest my case
Less is more. If you need a huge kit for effect then you are the problem. The most talented tend to have smaller kits and can be creative instead of having so much that you play sloppily hitting without precision and the sound becomes muddled.
I respect this dude for being straight edge only problem is it gives you no personality got bored
We're drummers, not talk show hosts.
If you need substances to make you interesting then maybe you’re the problem
Shit, I'm still Edge. But my 13 yr old thinks I'm boring 😂
Such a great drummer for a shitty band
Possibly the worst “pro” drummer of all time
