Got the dogtag yesterday!! When i was halfway trough, a random brasilian guy joined and offered help! He solved the floor pattern with ease and in the end he was calling out numbers while i was pressing the buttons. When finally finished we were both t-bagging and shooting around like mad. Such an awesome moment. And such an nice and humble guy! Big shoutout to the the BF1 community
got the opposite experience of this when doing the omen dogtag, guys would keep joining and blow up the things you had to input the code on, fuckers all of them :p

BONUS TIPPS: 1) Join a server with fog/rain, otherwise you will not see the lights on the floor clear enough 2) After glowing all candles, use limpets and blow all walls for easier access when doing the 16 switches thing 3) When you messed up with the candles stand before a glowing one and wait 4 minutes, it will reset them all You're welcome. This one was definitely insanely hard, it took 5 tries and at one time the server kicked me as I was already on the floor lights. BUT: I made it! Yeah

you know what those dog tags will do in the future? you haven't played Bf4 in your life have you? you had 4 dog tags in the end. there was one in every dlc. in a dlc map there is a hangar and back of it there is a elevator that opens if you have one of the dog tags, you need 4 guys in that elevator. owner of the certain dog tag need to go to certain corner of the elevator (if there is somebody that doesn't have one of the dog tags and isnt in the corner will be dead). Then you press the button to go down and there is some kind of futuristic laboratory that is protected with see trough solid laser door that had numbad for a pin code. you open the door and get yourself a special bow that only those 4 treasure hunters gets to keep. after few years later everyone got it in a free dlc map. in the span of 6 hours I've managed to do this Easter Egg for my friend as well as myself,. If my brain cells haven't multiplied 10 fold then they have definitely melted beyond repair. Great job to the original founders of the Easter egg and the team behind making them.

A guy came in the server just as I had finished decoding the 8x8 grid and was about to light them all up. Thankfully, he was chill and already had the Peacekeeper. He followed along and celebrated with me lol. Neat!
I remember doing this all by myself. It was a cold winter night. A blizzard hit New York before Thanksgiving and for us high school students it meant extra time off. Nowhere to go giving me ample time to complete this. I remember being sprawled on the floor and drawing out the entire puzzle and it still remains one of my proudest moments in gaming. Thanks Jack :)

The assault class had way to many full auto snipers. AEK is all you see on the kill feed for lockers. That and the M320 LVG heat seeking proximity detonating grenade. They also banned all 7.62 lmgs and ARs because they can compete witg the aek.
It's been seven years, I graduated and now I don't have to worry about work or school as of the moment. I can finally sit down and actually try my hand at this puzzle without worry, and the silver lining is at this stage of the game's lifespan there's plenty of empty servers to choose from.

Sky Dog O feel like we need a compromise, some easy easter eggs that dont provide anything but just alter the composition of maps, for example megalodon easter eggs. Then some mid level easter eggs that take a few hours to do, and provide cosmetics. Then some nigh-on impossible easter eggs that require multiple players across maps to cooperate and take tons of time.

In bf4 they were cool (well, it started to go crazy when they added the dragon valley easter egg), but HELL, this is going beyond crazy, there is a big difference between a riddle that unites the community, and a hassle that only a few will be able to solve (not because of difficulty but because of how annoying it is).
the dragon valley one was really complicated, but it was for a reason, at the end they gave you dice camo, i have no idea what the final reward could be for this easter egg

Yes . a very few understand this dogtag is a part of the EASTER EGG WEAPON UNLOCK or something big which will be continued in the upcoming DLC's. for example : you have to wear this dogtag to get the weapon etc.
f this easter egg, i got really REALLY lucky that a random joined my server who saw what i was doing and did the glowing tile step for me, i would have never made it without him
there are platoons dedicated to easter eggs so basicly 200 people searching for it wont take long and solving the easter egg itself is simple logic. ofcourse you need to knw the cipher and all of that but a quick search of all the cipher commonly used in that time will give you something to look for and then its trial and error

Tips for you trying out this today: although this video is helpful, there are better ones out there online. One thing Jack fails to mention is that you should try this in a server where the weather is cloudy or foggy. If it's sunny you will have a hard time seeing the lights on the floor. Also, he mentions the spectator camera, but you CAN'T leave the server to join again as spectator, as it does not save progress, so don't do that.
Its actually not that hard you just have to look up conflict bf1 on the wiki and it will explain how to do it even shows what numbers you have to put in

How in the name of god choose another weather for this map. Always that im in an empty server is always sunny and the damn grid is almost imposible to solve if you cant see the lights.

These aren't meant to be done in public matches, me and my friends tried opening the tunnel to the Peacekeeper in a match but we had to back cap to get to the door because we weren't the team on D side. So 2 of us were having a last stand while 15 enemies try to swarm us while our other guy was reading off the code to open it. We managed to get it open but we finally died shortly after >_
An asshole kept following me through random lobbies to make sure I can't do the easter egg in peace... I guess I'll have to wait until he runs out of oxygen

In bf4 they were cool (well, it started to go crazy when they added the dragon valley easter egg), but HELL, this is going beyond crazy, there is a big difference between a riddle that unites the community, and a hassle that only a few will be able to solve (not because of difficulty but because of how annoying it is).
the dragon valley one was really complicated, but it was for a reason, at the end they gave you dice camo, i have no idea what the final reward could be for this easter egg

there are platoons dedicated to easter eggs so basicly 200 people searching for it wont take long and solving the easter egg itself is simple logic. ofcourse you need to knw the cipher and all of that but a quick search of all the cipher commonly used in that time will give you something to look for and then its trial and error

Tips for you trying out this today: although this video is helpful, there are better ones out there online. One thing Jack fails to mention is that you should try this in a server where the weather is cloudy or foggy. If it's sunny you will have a hard time seeing the lights on the floor. Also, he mentions the spectator camera, but you CAN'T leave the server to join again as spectator, as it does not save progress, so don't do that.

Sad story: I got the candles on the first try but, people joined the server and were constantly trying to kill me. So in a fit of rage I just quit. In retrospective, I should've just switched teams.
How in the name of god choose another weather for this map. Always that im in an empty server is always sunny and the damn grid is almost imposible to solve if you cant see the lights.
The tiles puzzle is so hard, the other ones were more easy

If I could get a guaranteed empty server to do this, I might try it. Otherwise forget it. This is impossible in the heat of battle.
MaGarthur just go to the server browser and set it to Soissons, ALL slots only (so it only shows empty servers), and any region.
Alex VanDover but both times I started doing it, some idiot got into the server and ruined it. I should be allowed to do this in a private server. The second time I was almost at the end.
These aren't meant to be done in public matches, me and my friends tried opening the tunnel to the Peacekeeper in a match but we had to back cap to get to the door because we weren't the team on D side. So 2 of us were having a last stand while 15 enemies try to swarm us while our other guy was reading off the code to open it. We managed to get it open but we finally died shortly after >_
