Hej! Your video is really high quality and fun to watch. The dominos seem to sit very loose...normally the need to be hammered in. You could have glued first and then routed the complete Piece maybe? Then the joint will be perfectly aligned. Great work, hope to See mord from you. Wbrgds
Thats amazing. These builds are putting my work to shame

Hello my new friend, Congratulations on participating in the Karl 2020 chair competition project. You have created a Mid Century Modern chair. Weaving the threads like a rug was another beauty. Congratulations. I am happy to be on your channel. We do similar jobs. Thanks for sharing. I wish you a healthy and beautiful week. Ll see. Big greetings. (It's +312 :-))
Well done! I love this design. I enjoyed it very much and one day I want to build such a beautiful chair too. I understood 2 cm thickness of the material. Cord (0.6 cm) and 4.5 kg. Typical dimensions are probably 74cm x 75cm x 74cm of the chair. I would be happy to purchase plans privately. Have a Happy New Year to all :-)
Geez this challenge really brought out the Maker in the makers. Super sad I was too busy to join in on this one. There were some real class acts and this is among them. A lovely display of your skills and the videography was excellent too.
Appreciate the words James! Yeah this one was definitely a fun build, one of my more complex builds but loved the turnout. It’s pretty cool to see everyone’s builds from around the world! I’m sure there will be lots of challenges in the future which I think is so cool!
Thank you! Yeah this was a definitely a fun build, I’ll be checking yours out too when I get a chance! The submissions are rolling already! Thanks Suj🙏
nice build man. Not trying to be the safety police, but I was curious why no riving knife? I had an accident when I was just starting out with woodworking when I didn't have a riving knife. its not worth it.
wow, this is gorgeous. 😍 i absolutely love the design of this. especially the weaving part was so interesting to watch. real craftmanship right there! 👏
Mate so glad you managed to build a second chair and wow what a fantastic project this turned out to be. Really classy design and put together with skill and passion. Thanks for sharing your experience with us in the #KPWBCC2020.
Yeah man! Thanks! Already so man entry’s, I’ll have to take a look at all the videos when I have time! Cheers man, great getting the community together 🙌
Great build and a nice chilled out video to watch on a Sunday morning! I like your upside down router technique as well, it’s like something I would do in my workshop 😁
Hey Gema, right now I don’t have any templates for this chair but hopefully in the future I’ll have time to make some plans. Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks! I have a more in depth video on how to weave here ua-cam.com/video/3IlW9JPON8o/v-deo.html, it’s a bench but it’s all the same principals! Cheers
Heyo! I made a video on weaving a seat which would be the same way I would do this style of chair. Thanks for tuning in! ua-cam.com/video/3IlW9JPON8o/v-deo.html Hopes this helps!
Looks comfy and you videos are relaxing too. LOL upside down belt sander - that's what I was doing till I recently got a cheap second hand bench version. Would be interested in seeing more weaving for sure.
Thank you! yeah we all do things that aren't the best practices haha definitely looking for a bench sander right now LOL I'll hopefully make a video on how I weaved this chair in the new year! Cheers
I got it from a Canadian website called ‘Levairs Caning Supply’ in Canada but if you search Danish papercord you might be able to find some close in your area!
@@katharinak.5910 yeah it’s quite sturdy and I’m closer to 200lbs. I think if I were to do another chair I would make it thicker more for design purposes, but it’s holding up quite well! Thanks for watching Katharina 🙏🏽
@@AceWoodCo oh that's impressive! Making a similar chair right now, hope it will last as well🙄 do u have plans for yours actually u are ready to share?..🙄☺
I have a chair that has danish cord material. Any type of paper cord is not really advisable to use. It breaks easily, not durable. Yes, it looks nice but its really for aesthetics only.
Would love to see how you did the weaving and would love plans for this chair; beautiful job!
Thanks so much! Currently I don’t have plans at the moment, but hoping in the future to make some when I get s chance. Thanks!
This restoration is just simply spectacular - what a wonderful item you saved! That weaving technique is something! Great job!
Thanks a bunch! Yeah the weaving was definitely a fun one!
@@AceWoodCo that weaving has really stuck with me - you are very talented.
Love chair builds and this video is a great one.
Thanks

Thank you! appreciate it!
Very nice man. Love the cord look.
Thank you! Yeah I’m a big fan of the cord look. I hope to do more projects with it in the future 🍻

@AceWoodCo this is nice! I could see it being even longer to accommodate 2 people. Do you ever use parachord?
I would like to see a video on how you did your danish paper cord weaving. thanks!
Hermoso su trabajo. Mi consulta es ¿de donde saco las medidas? Gracias
That weaving looks great! Well done!
thanks man! appreciate it!
Wow this is a beautiful Chair 🤯 I love the chilled out video 👍
yeah I really enjoyed the relaxing vibe haha might have to make more videos like that! Thanks Phill

Great looking chair there, Anthony. Think I saw this on your instagram post earlier. Good video presentation style as well 👌

Great project Anthony. Looks like a great laid back relaxing chair. I could be wrong but it seems very well suited to your personality. 👍
haha thank you! Yeah I'm a pretty laid back guy! Cheers
Such a great piece. Seriously considering giving it a try. Let's see how it goes. :)
Thank you, I hope you give it a try one day. Cheers!
Very nice! Where could I get blueprints or templates?
Man this shines, you’ve definitely put a lot of effort into the build mate & really well done 🍻🍻👍👍🤠

Could you tell me where you can find this template. Thx best regards from argentina
Hey Gema, right now I don’t have any templates for this chair but hopefully in the future I’ll have time to make some plans. Thanks for checking it out!

Thank you so much!
@@AceWoodCo you are so talented, congrats!
Hey what are the dimensions of the seat base? I'm looking to make something similar but I'm struggling with what size to make it. Thanks

Wow nice! Do you have any plans available for this?
Its awesome, actually i dont have enough time to create this amazing product. If you build this to me 50 chairs, what prices would you be for each!
Really great chair! I would like to know what kind of nails did you use?
Thank you! I used L-nails and these nails are specifically for weaving papercord!
Hey, how many meters of cord did you use for this chair?
Heyo, I bought a 10 lb roll of paper cord and had about a 1/4 give or take left over!

How do I get the templates
Hey Trish, unfortunately I don’t have any templates at the moment but hoping I can make them available in the future, cheers!
Beautiful chair, how long did it take to complete the Danish cord?
Thank you! It was roughly 10 hours to complete to weave
Great work man. Would love to learn that weaving technique.
Thanks man 🙏 definitely is time consuming but worth the outcome! Cheers!
@1:56 the name of the tool?
Love this! Are there any plans for this if one would like to hold something similar? 🙏🏻
Thanks man! sadly I don't have plans at the moment, but maybe in the future I'll make some. Thanks for tuning in!
@@AceWoodCo Ok, Thanks! Do you know the thickness of the board you used?
@@benstolt I used milled 1x8 white oak! If you want it thicker it’d probably make it 1” vs 3/4” but she’s totally holding up just great!

Too bad you didn’t record the router trimming using the template. Not as easy as it looks. :-(
