Great staff ,thank you so much for your videos 🙏. Never bought anything from Coparts and that's a great learning materials. 🙏🙂 Would like to understand how to get from 0 to dealership. God bless
nice video to show what its like in the flesh. there's a R32 for sale on the website that i'm considering for a engine conversion project, i wanna see what price it will round up to as its a pure sale, also i like the new logo it looks more professional. and i'm intrigued by the next video.
Hi Paul, I need your help for the bidding. When we need to bid auction time or we can do before I wouldn't be able to do whenever I'm doing messages come ups onscreen to call copart team I don't get it please help me out with this you are very helpful for me I started because of your videos Thanks
Hello Paul I would like to ask you if the driver and passenger airbags in a right hand car fit to a left hand car!I believe copart uk is a great place to buy cars for part's
@@CarsForPaul in your 5 tips video you said that copart can deliver car's so I wanted to ask you if they deliver cars in other countries and if I can pay for the car in my country without visiting the copart spot in the UK
Some good advice but why did you not point out the obvious steering damage on that GT86? Also do you know how much the A5 convertible went for in the end,was the roof damaged and what put you off bidding for it?thanks
Good point, I actually missed the steering rack damage as I was fixated on the bodywork at the time but having had the same issue with my Seat, I am more aware of steering damage
Ok. Whats your opinion of the process whereby copart haggle with you after the auction, usually if the reserve is not met.Honestly I find it annoying. Some sellers set a very high reserve. Also I tend to ignore the 'estimated retail value'. This figure can be inputted by the seller and some put in a ridiculous value
I agree this can be annoying when the price is kept high to push through a higher price, but this is just part of the culture of the trade. I always use glasses guide or parker guide for accurate pricing, and for sellers that try to push through a high price, they always end up having to put through the car Copart again and again, My TT went through twice before I brought it and I actually got it cheaper than the initial offer price.
Ok fabulous thank you. I got over 30 years in the car trade fitting repair work ect but not been on my own. You are doing a good job and tips. I will have a look if I get stuck ok to ask for some help lol
Engine start program vs Run and drive... if a car is listed as starting can we assume it doesn't drive? Or could it Just be a mistake, seen it couple of times so far.
The Copart engine start program is just that, they start the car but chances are that some sort of mechanical issue is preventing it move. My seat had a broken steering arm and a damaged wishbone so couldn't move without dragging the wheel.
start off by picking a car you know well enough or pick a brand and do as much research as possible so you know all the issue to look for. forums are a great place to start looking.
Bro I can't my Do online.... I am student.... and want to get my first car like Rx8, R8, hind and accord or Mini Cooper and any other salvage... need help in this regard bro....
Sure, Pure sale means the car will sell no matter what the current bid price is, on reserve means that the car must reach a minimum fixed price set by the owner before it will sell. sometimes when a car doesn't reach its reserve price, the owner may make an offer to meet you in the middle which is why you will hear sold on approval. The owner then has two days to decide if they want to accept your bid. I hope that makes sense
Pes_Technik another question, sorry for all these questions. My Ford Focus I brought on copart has now arrived, I was sitting inside wondering where is the log book. So I called up Copart and they said called DVLA and let them deal with it. And so I called up DVLA and they said you need to apply for a v62 form. Which will take 4-6 weeks
Pes_Technik it would be great if I can get your email address so we can talk more there. I find your content very helpful... and the new logo is really nice 😂
yes, that is correct, DVLA will do a series of checks to ensure you are the rightful owner which includes contacting the insurance or finance company to confirm that the car has been legally sold. Unfortunately, there is no way around this.
@@kevinmiller9793 That would depend on how much you buy the car for. if your budget is £3k, I would look at buying repo cars from copart as they have little to no damage and will be much cheaper than retail.
You should be able to join now and have your membership until next December, but I would advise you to contact member services at member.services@copart.co.uk.
Yes, it is, you can go to the dealer and ask them to kill off any other key so that even if in the unlikely chance that the old owner finds the car, they can't open or start it. My mk2 TT was a repo car.
Hi, I want to buy a car from copart for myself but im new to this whole thing. Could we possibly arrange a phone call between me and you to just put me on the right track? I'm willing to cover any fees that you may ask for. Many thanks

Hi Paul just a quick question are you normally allowed to start the cars
It depends on the yard, most will let you.
@carsforpaul why do they tape the plates up
To stop thieves cloning the plates
Hello Paul I would like to ask you if the driver and passenger airbags in a right hand car fit to a left hand car!I believe copart uk is a great place to buy cars for part's
They should do, but it would depend on the brand

@@CarsForPaul and another question! the membership in copart.uk does it count for copart.de?or you have to register again?how much is the annual fee?
@@panos323 No it doesn't, you will have to register again for another account as Copart accounts are country specific.
nice video, that tt s line is under the hammer today, hope you get it :D
Great videos mate keep it up.. jus want to ask whats the difference between cars with and without duct tape on the plate.
The duct tape is to stop thieves from copying the plates to put on to stolen cars.
Hi Raheem i think its to keep the public away from seing it and only for members of copart as buyers and sellers, is privacy of information
Great video. How do you see what the cars have sold for without watching auction live?
autoauction.io fantastic site that will show you historic sold prices in the UK and US cars
@@CarsForPaul great thank you,if you're a copart member can you see sold prices on their site ?
I am a member and I have never seen sold prices, just the word sold
When you go visit the car, can you tell the staff if you can start the engine??
Yes you can, they always have the keys in the car

in regards the A5, it had half the engine missing, so I didn't bid on it. The roof was fine.

Can you please explain to me the different types of “sale status” and what they mean. Example: “Pure sale” etc.
I think there was one more.
You have to bid for cars online, but you can pay for the cars in person at a Copart site, they also have PC's that you can use onsite.

Yes you can, if you look at the fleet and repo sections, most of the cars are clean and ready for the road.
