Paul, I'm new to the channel, I have a question about buying cars with exploded airbags, is this an expensive thing to get fixed ? [ I've never had to do one ] or is it best to buy them with a/bags intact.? Enjoy your videos Paul. Cheers.
airbags are cheap to buy if you get them from ebay or salvage yards, but you do need to know what your doing i.e. do not connect one with the battery connected
Hi, great videos. Just wanted to ask a quick question. If a car is cat n, is it just a case of taxing and insuring it? Or would you need to do a vosa check on it?
@@CarsForPaul hi Paul, thanks for that very greatfull. I've watched quite a few of your videos now and I think got the salvage car bug. Thanks again.gavin
Thinking about buying an mx5 for my second car on copart but I’ve never purchased from there before. Do you have any tips? They would be much appreciated :)
Hey Paul, Matt from deverill here, Wondering if you need help recording some live videos when going to co part so you can talk directly at the camera make it easier to record.
Take a good look at all the photos in HD so you can clearly see all the damage, try and get a car thats running in the photos and try to avoid cars that have had airbags deployed. they can be more costly to repair
Nice little win there Paul, I actually went for the 500 with the rear damage but it went too high for my liking. Lucky I didn't see yours, might have to check what you're going for next time so I don't bid against you 😂
Direct, my window man is based in the midlands (Halesowen) if yours doesn't have the dimming rear view mirror I think it's cheaper as the mirror is bigger like mine on my Abarth 500.
Glad to see you win the 500! You should come and join Fiat 500 Owners Club UK on Facebook. We have a few members who sell parts for really good prices. Hope to see you there!
Hi Paul, Hope you are well, I have just finished building a fiat 500c and have just bought a front end in parts from copart. I have a wing/bumper with all running lights and chromes and front wing all in your colour if you are interested. Give me a shout if your interested and hopefully we can go from there. Cheers
Congrats on your auction win, looks to be a nice easy fix. I don't know if you're aware but you can remove the stench of burnt car and pretty much any other interior smell using an ozone machine. Check out amazon. If memory serves me right they're under £100.00. If you do get one make sure you use it outdoors and that you vent the car thoroughly after use it can be bad for your health. Looking forward to seeing this little beast restored to her former glory. I'd be interested to know what your copart fees come out at, but I'm sure you'll reveal all in due course.
Hi Paul, thanks for the tip. I actually have an Ozone machine and did a video of it in use on my Seat Leon project. the Car had a very strong dog smell which needed 3 treatments to get it clear of the dog, but eventually worked,
@@CarsForPaul Thanks for the reply my friend, I used one of these ozone machines on an Audi that had been heavily smoked in, like you I had to do the treatment a couple of times. Now the car stinks of the Wife's perfume!! The MOT guy upset her majesty by donning a mask and asking her what the heck the stink was!! You can't win can you? Great videos of the Copart way of buying a bargain. Keep up the good work
4:07 Just so you know, I believe that yellow triangle is not for the bonnet open. The car was displaying a message saying "check daytime running lights" so it is possible a headlight is faulty. I believe this because a while ago on my Punto that light came on with the message "check rear lights" and I had a bulb out.
Hopefully there is no wiring damage or lower coolant hoses but that was a good buy the horn wiring harness might be burnt but it’s near impossible without being face to face with the car
He's recording some of the video after with a voice/camera over to explain the process. Hence why he said in the voice over about how he'll be showing how to remove the pin hole/dent then corrected himself to present time. He's not trying to scam or trick you, just trying to make the video easier for you to watch.
10 plate. So it's 9 years old. An approved body shop will want about 3 grand to respray that car. A decent one man body shop would charge half that. One I knew back in the day was run by two people. 4 to 5 resprays a week earned them 5 to 6 grand. Prep during the day and last thing spray and bake. After expenses they had 4 to 5 grand per week.
Cars For Paul 35607469 that’s the lot number I think visually all that needs to be don is the bonnet front bumper and the drivers side front quarter panel
If you can see the car in the flesh, that would be good, I would check the front crash bar as it looks slightly twisted, also the intercooler looks damaged and the bonnet as you mentioned, but other than that, pretty straight forward.
Not sure what you mean by sent puller, but the fault reader, I have four, OBDeleven and VCDS for VAG cars, Icarsoft for ford and BMW's and my Bluepoint Microscan for everything else

Hi, would appreciate if you could do that intro volume lower, Thanks. Nice videos keep it up.

@@CarsForPaul The volume is fine.
Turn ur own volume down its fine
Subscribed straight away! Being a copart buyer myself can’t wait for more content to come up!☺️
Hi Paul, just binge watched your videos, great content all round and I'm sure I was more pleased than you were on the win Lol, will keep watching.
Hi, great videos. Just wanted to ask a quick question. If a car is cat n, is it just a case of taxing and insuring it? Or would you need to do a vosa check on it?
As long as the car is road worthy, you just need to tax and insure it. The VOSA test has been done away with for Cat N and S cars.
@@CarsForPaul hi Paul, thanks for that very greatfull. I've watched quite a few of your videos now and I think got the salvage car bug. Thanks again.gavin
Good win Paul ,nice and cheap

Can anyone visit copart site when you want to look at the cars?
No, not anymore, they now do a video viewing service where you call up in advance and view the cars via whatsapp

Hi Paul. Do you sell these cars as a trade?
Yes I do
@@CarsForPaul do you provide any warranty mate?
Warranty on a used, fire damaged car, I'd surprised....
@@veelside200sx as a trader u have to give warranty, as cars are road worthy. Unless im wrong
