    The comment about her name being spelled right was in such poor taste. Also anyone following the WTA would know she was emotional about Jana.
    Very silly question.

    Barbara you are a good tennis player. This is not luck. You are going to win many grand slams, especially when you are injury free. Congratulations ❤🎉

    i know they wanna bring out each player's personality at the TC Desk, but i wish they could have talked a little bit about the actual tennis match as well.

    She's a good listen! And especially, in a language that isn't her first. I don't mean this in any condescending way at all, but not many people for whom English isn't their first language, would use words like "introvert". Good for her!

    • @Naramsin-s4z
      @Naramsin-s4z Місяць тому

      The term "introvert" is international. It is of latin origin. It is the same in Czech. However, I agree with you that her English is above the level of skills of everage Czech person.

    This is the second time I've ever seen her with her hair down, so pretty. I admit I wrote her, particularly when people included her among the threats in Iga's draw (they all got farther than she did lol). But for the same reasons she cited, her non-existent form. She literally doubled her win total for the year with this tournament. Crazy how she flew under the radar despite her past successesl

    This marks the eighth straight different ladies champion at Wimbledon. Except for Serena Williams in 2015 and 2016, all of the winners have only one championship at the event. The women's game is definitely going through a bit of a vaccuum since the Williams sisters (I know Venus is still playing, but she's now irrelevant), and Ashe Barty retired.

      Iga Swiatek has now won the FO four times (plus USO once), Aryna Sabalenka has won AO twice and Naomi Osaka has won two USO and two AO (so far). There are very few grass court tournaments, so it comes down to who can adapt their game the quickest, and who can avoid injuries (and who can make a comeback after maternity leave). Elena Rybakina, a previous Wimbledon champion, is pretty dominant on grass, but clearly Krejcikova was able to beat her again (their H2H is now 3-0 in favour of Barbora). Sure, none of them are Serena, but you cannot discount dominant players and multiple Grand Slam winners.

    I'm happy she won but women's tennis and the quality of that tennis has declined to an embarrassing level.
    There are no champions there are no Steffi Graf's, Seles, Williams Sisters,Henin. Go watch this final and then go watch Gabriella Aabatini versus Steffi Graf.
    It's embarrassing

      Tennis in general is on a higher level now. This final wasn't the best, but there was some great matches on women's side.

      You can look at it that way but I prefer the POV that it’s so much more deep in terms of competition that anyone in the top 40 or so is a threat week in week out. Maybe not the stable storylines as in the past, and I get the nostalgia as much as anyone, but the drama can be unmatched! I found this outcome a pleasure to watch.

    Paolini is to short to be a Grand Slam champion, she can only just see over the top of the net, no offense intended but Italians are too temperamental to make a champion and she is too emotional??
