Looks like you had a blast out there! Some of the lakes in southern Wisconsin are good to go, others are still wide open. Won't be long now and I'll be chasing some deep water perch in the basins around here and maybe some walleye at night!
How’s that feather duster work on real light bites? Or even up bites? Do a lot of crappie/bluegill fishing and intrigued by this rod. Already have the pantastick but this seems better!
It’s our favorite in the lineup! If you like the pantastick you’ll enjoy the feather duster. Can sense the light bites but we enjoy it because it has a little bit more backbone to support the bigger pan fish!
the lake I'm thinking about fishing has an area around 8 feet deep that fish love to cruise around during the summer, but from what I've learned the fish tend to concentrate near the bottom in winter. How deep should i fish? Should I try the shallower area or would I be wasting my time?
Is this in Oneida? I usually lodge up there for a week during ice season and fish the moen chain, but I want to try some smaller bodies of like that sometime. Especially with that kinda water depth. Any recommendations? I dont want to just ask what body the one in this is, but at least similar. Ive only ever heard of tenderfoot lake being fun sized
Thank you for commenting! To be completely honest we truly don’t give out advice on lakes very often. The reason for that is because we are very limited on our amount of time to film content, considering we both work full time jobs. With that being said, giving out lake info hurts us in the long run, which would mean we’d be less likely to continue bringing our audience these awesome videos. So we try and make content that is relatable for everyone and helps give others some advice, and the courage to go out and adventure, try some new things and just see how it goes. We have tried lots of lakes over the years, big and small, some that were great, and others we will likely never return to. But that’s all part of the fun. What I can tell you is that yes Oneida county does have some awesome small lakes that are great for fishing, just like every other county up north. Just gotta venture out and try some new spots, you may just find your next honey hole! Tight Lines!
@@MinnesotaMan1 i want to get up there and try sometime, never fished MN. I was supposed to last season, was gonna go to milles lac but had a severe storm and it delayed our travel plans by a few days. So had to pass on it before heading to devils lake ND.
Yes most definitely, drilling holes surprisingly wasn’t too much of an issue, but walking from spot to spot and pulling the sled definitely spooked fish! Could see the pods of fish moving on live scope each time I would try a new area!
I wouldn’t say it has ruined it, still plenty of days where it can be difficult to find fish, other days where you can get right on top of them and you still can’t catch ‘em. At the end of the day I feel like it can be a great learning tool, very educational for the younger kids to help get them into the sport as well. But it totally understand where you are coming from. At the end of the day, it’s all about making the most of it and having fun! And if you put a majority of your fish back, it won’t harm the lake. Now if you keep every fish you catch, that’s a different story. That’s just my two cents atleast, Thank you for the comment!
When contour maps, braided line, flashers, traditional sonar, down imaging, and side imaging came out various people felt that they ruined the sport forever. Now they are mainstream and not controversial at all. Livescope is an absolute game changer and I personally would be in favor of a 5 fish limit for crappies and gills on every lake. But ruining the sport? Once you see in 3 dimensions and you try to go back to a Vexilar it feels like you are fishing blind. I’ve never been more captivated and interested in fishing.
I’m not sure how this video would portray me as a jerk? Just catching fish, handling them well, and making sure they go back safely for others to catch again in the future! We are HUGE supporters of catch and release. If you treat your bodies of water with respect, forward facing sonar will never harm them. Whereas you over-harvesting, with or without forward facing sonar, or any technology for that matter, is a much bigger problem that should be focused on! We appreciate the view, best of luck on the ice this season! Tight Lines 🤝

I would definitely check that spot, but if there is a deep hole in the basin possibly check that spot out as well!

Awesome vid Keep them going love pan fishing.
Thank you very much, us too! Definitely more to come 😎
Nice, how far up north? Minocqua area?
We fish all over northern Wisconsin!
I've never been up north for ice fishing. Any good lake recommendations for this beginner? Im in the Appleton area. Thanks!
Depends on what you would be looking to target!
Walleyes and crappies @@NBedits
What county do you guys do the most fishing over in northern Wisconsin? Just curious!
Oneida I’d say! But we fish all over the north woods!
do you know if boulder junction lakes are frozen
Yes, almost all smaller lakes are froze with 3-6”. Bigger lakes still be a little cautious on, but this cold snap probably locked everything up fine
@@NBedits so would you say boulder lake is frozen
Should be!
Banger video Brandon 👊
Thanks!!
Didn’t look like you had any plastic or bait on that dinner bell. Were you fishing just bare hook?
Yes! Just the dinner bell itself, not tipped at all!
alot of lakes thebigger fish are sensative to live scope. it seems to interfere with their sonar
It does seem like that!
Were they sensitive to sound being that early?
Yes most definitely, drilling holes surprisingly wasn’t too much of an issue, but walking from spot to spot and pulling the sled definitely spooked fish! Could see the pods of fish moving on live scope each time I would try a new area!
Nick is famous again!
🤭🔥😏
Come join me on the big eau pleine if you guys want some big crappies/ and or walleye. Saw you guys at hog creek getting dinner not that long ago.
Oh that’s funny! We were getting in on the wing deal!
Looks like fun! Now go slay a giant walleye!
Just wait till Sunday’s upload 👀
@@NBedits Love me some big walleye videos!
Mountain here.Nice Day
LiveScope is awesome but you can’t deny it’s ruined the sport. There’s nothing to it now. There’s no guess work whatsoever.
