There's a reason why they are the no 1 rock band in the world ... they combine blues, r&b, jazz and reggae into their rock. Something no band has ever done so well. 😊
John Paul Jones on the funky bass line and keys - he's such a phenomenal musician. Led Zep not only had the best guitarist and vocalist in rock, they had the greatest rhythm section of all time.
Lex said it BEST about this track…”I like that DEEP FUNK!!!’ This has been my number one ALL TIME FAVORITE Led Zeppelin song BECAUSE of that EXACT REASON!!!
I grew up on Zeppelin/Classic Rock with my dad, Cool and the Gang/Pop with my mom, and I listened to Rap and Country with friends, Zeppelin is the band I don't turn off no matter what... if a Zeppelin song is on it stays on
I do believe someone has come to appreciate how GOOD LED ZEPPELIN really is!!! I love it! I'm 62 years old... and they've been my favorite band since I was about 17 years old.
There are many rock bands from this era who have enjoyed a large fan base for decades. Then there's Zeppelin with billions of fans that haven't even been born yet.
I always thought of this as Zep making fun of their own lyrics having a tendency for being euphemism-heavy. "I can't stop talkin' 'bout love!" is like a cry for help lol.
She was digging it.. I really expected her to get up and rock it around the room!!! One of my favorite songs by zep... been playing the drums to ALL their songs for over 50 years. I actually could see her cleaning the house jamming to this hahahahahaha
Lex, I swear you have a magical charm about you! I started watching this video feeling a bit down now that Christmas is over. But watching you enthusiastically get into this song has really lifted my spirits! Thank you, Lex!
Yeah she for sure has a gift and Brad to me is a man’s man that you respect his Individuality and honesty. Brad is a man that you would want with while going into a battle.
They're an amazing couple, surely universally liked; Lex is fun, yet also intelligent, and feminine/attractive, how often do you find her qualities in women today (extremely rare), and Brad is the kinda guy every man would be happy to hang with; skilled, industrious, smart, masculine but without arrogance, man's-man type of vibe. On top of all that, their heads are on straight (watch their other channel where they discuss their views). They couldn't have picked a better pursuit, they'll surely be one of the most successful reaction channels eventually.
Yes. Brad is correct. I'll give you another one. When Little Richard sang on pop radio "Good golly Miss Molly you sure like to ball" he wasn't actually talking about her interest in going to formal dance events.

The unspoken hero of Led Zeppelin is without a doubt, John Paul Jones. His bass lines and keyboard additions truly prime the entire environment with the mood of the song. Knowing he plays them both, at the same time, is mind blowing. Hendrix plays with his teeth, SRV plays behind his back, and John Paul Jones plays with his feet...that is just, WOW!
@@EdKoller Such debates are hard to refute as it is just opinion vs opinion, I would, however, offer a different reasoning for why after Bonzo's death Led Zeppelin couldn't continue, not because Bonzo was the heart, but that he was instrumental in the creation process. Jimmy Page stated that the reason why Jason couldn't be a solution, or any other drummer for that matter, was because they change songs for shows, and if you weren't a part of the creation, you don't understand the dynamics enough to know what is going to change nor what you can change and it becomes too cumbersome to try and to bring someone up to speed enough to fulfill those roles and without the drummer being up to speed, they are forced to have the same show over and over which is something the band always swore to never be. These are Page's views, which I bet John Paul probably agrees fully with. Plant will tour with anyone, anytime, and be however he wishes to be, regardless of the rest, which is his strength and prerogative. I can't argue that Bonzo was or wasn't the heart of the band, even though my opinion would be that role was John Paul Jones. I can support that Bonzo was vital, as is the case with Page and John Paul Jones.
I essentially agree with you, JPJ was/is a master of his craft, that's what made Zeppelin GREAT, they were all masters of their instruments. That said I still believe Bonzo was the driving force, to my ear, they all play off him.

It's an analogy about the component parts and all associated features of a motor vehicle, with the body of a woman. Yeah and it's as funky as hell and you can dance to it. As Lex demonstrated! Great reaction.
There was a club downtown where I grew up. There was a upstairs part where it was for drinking 3.2 beer which was legal for 18 and older. Downstairs was a small area for dancing with live music. Terraplane Blues s is an old blues song that described a woman in terms of car parts. That song served as an inspiration for this one. The whole song is about sex, but said in terms of car parts. (Terraplane was an old car model).

My absolute favorite Zeppelin song!!! I have DJed this song in a variety of clubs, house parties, etc..... People having never heard it before, go crazy for it....... I love the sexual innuendo being so part of it, but you can tell your parents its a song for mechanics and probably get away with it!!! LOLOL!!!
I picked up a guitar st 6 years old. By 14 I was fairly good. I mean I could copy most rhythms and leads. I was "on my way". Then I saw the movie, "The Song Renains the Same". It crushed me, literally sucked the soul out of my body. I knew if I practiced a thousand more hours I might get some of what Page was doing, but even copying wouldn't do them justice, ever. Then this depth hit me... this was Jimmy's original music, his, not a copy. I knew then and there I'd never, ever, be that good. That day, Jimmy Page became a god.
I had a similar experience, i started playing guitar at 16, and was getting good fast, then when I started watching Led Zeppelin live, and seeing Jimmy do his thing with so much feel and soul, and sooo many ICONIC riffs, he became a god to me too.
Jimmy's not a God but hes my favorite and best guitarist ever! OVERALL better than Hendrix, beck, clapton , blackmore, rhoades, evh etc. Nobody ever played more accomplished genres, styles than him IMHO
Yeah gotta say pretty much a god among rock musicians. Not only for his guitar playing, but also song writing, and PRODUCING (fantastic work), and making sure that the band controlled releases, and not the label. :)
I appreciate that you don't have drawn out intros but maybe at least tell us what else, if any, you've heard from the artist. And at the end, maybe each tell us if you liked it or not overall, sort of a summary reaction. You do have a great 'opposites attract' energy going, though. And you should definitely reactto that Paula Abdul song if you haven't already.
You guys have to do something special for us. React to this same song again, but the live version. It is just stunning and one of their best performances ever. Thank you!!!!!
The lyrics were inspired by blues musician Robert Johnson's 1936 song "Terraplane Blues". A Terraplane is a classic car, and the song uses car parts as metaphors for sex-"pump your gas", "rev all night", etc. "Trampled Under Foot" is about giving in to sexual temptation. John Paul Jones has credited Stevie Wonder with the inspiration for the beat ("Superstition", 1972), which he played on a clavinet.

Love Physical Graffiti! Love that song! Oh those high school days, lol. What a band, one of the best.
Zep is the greatest all time Rock band
My absolute favorite Zeppelin song!!! I have DJed this song in a variety of clubs, house parties, etc..... People having never heard it before, go crazy for it....... I love the sexual innuendo being so part of it, but you can tell your parents its a song for mechanics and probably get away with it!!! LOLOL!!!
These two are the best!
Lex, you have the most infectious smile imaginable. You guys rock !!!
Lexi dancing all around was just great 😂! Great reaction as always, and all the best for the next year guys! 😘
This was one of my favorite songs... Windows down, cruising down at the beach in the 70s!
I have never equated this, or any other song, to flossing my teeth.🤣🤣I love Lex's analogies! I wish I would have discovered these two a long time ago.
Cool👍 I been hearing that one since kidhood, too. Zeppelin are legendary.
Brad nailed it! ... And I'm talking about love!
Lex is awesome! I love how you enjoy yourself and you have a killer smile. You would make listening to a dishwasher sound fun!
Love Lex's reaction ! Her laugh is infectious ! 🤣🤣❤️
A beast of a song!
Such happiness...it's contagious!!!
Inspired by Stevie Wonder's "Superstition." You MUST check out the 1975 Live version from Earl's Court.
Sorry i can only give this 1 like!
Lex's descriptions and energy is so delightfully entertaining.
You guys have to do something special for us. React to this same song again, but the live version. It is just stunning and one of their best performances ever. Thank you!!!!!
I hear ya Brad, it’s hard to want to interrupt Lex when she’s in the groove lol
The Couch Gang.! Brad, you're mostly about the lyrics and Lex, you're all about the music. Great pair u are.
That riff though !!!
I love your reactions Lex. I'm playing along with these songs as you guys react.
This is an iconic Zeppelin groove. Often imitated, never duplicated. Thanks, cats.
Brad totally got this one.
