This song was recorded in one take, LZ was just fiddling around in the studio. It’s heavily influenced by the song “Killing Floor” by Howlin’ Wolf and the line squeeze (my lemon) till the juice runs down my leg," can be traced to Robert Johnson's "Travelling Riverside Blues"from 1937.

Doesn't mean I catch everything the first time I hear a song, but it also doesn't mean I'm not paying attention to the lyrics and feeling the melody at the same time either. Watching Lex "Chair Dance" through these classics makes it worth viewing your vids. She just dives in and enjoys the sway of the track. Brad takes a far more critical view which I appreciate as well. Love watching you two reliving my first exposure to Rock Music's greatest triumphs. Subscribed and will continue to watch.

Actually, like so many early Zeppelin songs, it didn't mean anything. It was a mishmash of lyrics lifted from earlier bluesmen overlaid onto blues-rock guitar-scapes created by Jimmy Page with the rhythmic backing of Bonham and Jones. But it sounds great!
