the best shootout goal I've ever seen was by Kane but not in the NHL, look up his Swiss league 2012 shootout vs Cory Schneider. it was his Minnesota move but he sped it up insanely at the end, and added one extra stickhandle, pulled it back ultra quick under Schneider's stick as he tries to pokecheck. it looks crazy.
You’re gonna throw in that last goal but the hertl between the legs is way more impressive. Tell me your a Boston fan without telling me you’re a Boston fan 😂😂
Probably like 2 of them r illegal now but was the panarin one legal at the time? If it was would it still be legal? 3:40 The ones I think that might be illegal now 0:04 0:41 0:56 3:40 4:53 5:01 5:45 No hate I’m just pointing that out
Shootouts are the home run derby of the nhl - these are in no way breakaway goals that would work in actual gameplay. They’re cool as a skills competition, not as actual sport.
First pens game I watched when Malkin joined I thought his name was Denny melkin for a few seconds. The announcers I thought were saying IF Denny melkin already has 15 goals this season, im like wdym if? He does or he doesn’t lol. Obviously I’d never heard his name before so hearing it wrong for a minute or 2 should be understandable but the whole hockey world knows his name forever in history now
I've always hated the "slow" approaches (favoured by TJ Oshie, and others) on shootouts. To make it more like an actual hockey play, where being able to make plays at speed matter, it would be cool if the rule is to place the puck at centre, the shooter starts at his own blue line, and a defending skater starts at the goal line behind the shooter and is allowed to knock the puck away if he can catch up. This would prevent all the BS moves and force him to treat it like a typical breakaway.
It is not just the slow, but these days, too many players are breaking the rules but not getting called for it. I saw one Rangers shootout win where 3 of the 6 players CLEARLY didn't maintain forward momentum, including the game winner. You are not supposed to skate backwards at all, as defined by both the puck not moving significantly backwards, and your lead skate moving back behind the furthest point of your trailing leg. And half of the players in that shootout alone (and an increasingly number of shootout players overall are moving back a couple feet at least after swooping toward the corner and the coming back to the center. They either need to start calling that, or having a shot clock of some sort. I think experimenting with a shot clock could be cool because you could then then get rid of the "maintain forward momentum" rule, which would allow guys to try wraparounds...as long as they skated faster enough to do it before the shot clock ran out.
The NHL needs to start enforcing the "Maintain forward momentum" rule for shootouts. The new style of swooping down near the corner faceoff circle and then coming back toward the front of the net is just plain dumb, and most are blatantly illegal. Yet never called.
1. These arent all shootout goals 2. Some of these are obvious filler which is hilarious because, 3. you didnt put in THE Datsyukian deke Its clear to me you just wanted to hit 8 minutes, and didnt even bother researching shootout goals.
I mean this was a decent video but in no way do these get increasingly more impressive lmfao 1st 1 was prob the best n late in the video u have a free awarded goal on 1 he didn’t even get a shot off…how is that more impressive than ANY of the others? 🤯🤦🏼♂️
Watching old highlights makes me realize how much I miss the goalies water bottle being on top of the net lol
These don’t get increasingly better Patrick Kane’s 1st one vs Minnesota was the most impressive and it was the 1st clip
bruh, nothing beats the datsyuk flip
they literally get worse as the video goes on
Nothing too impressive in kanes shot
Backstrom just sucks
@@cody8385 Hard facts
Me after the first one HOW COULD IT GET BETTER THAN THAT!!!
The datsyuk
@@cameronschalk9637 Kane's stickhandles are more impressive imo than anybody else's anything. It's just a different skill.
It didn’t. It seemed to go from best to worst
Um, by getting rid of stupid shootouts.
Let’s be real. The master of deking is Pavel Datsyuk, the master of puck control is Patrick Kane, and the master of 1 on 0’s is Mario Lemeuix
Lets be real the master of being racist and completly unreasonable is Isr*el #FreedomFighters #Palestineisnotcorrupt #Bulgariaisoppressive
Naaaa Crosby is the best at all of those things
@@westonmartin6164 ...
@@westonmartin6164kid You don’t know nothing in nhl. You only love Crosby but is far from the best
kane is the master of reading the goalie id say, he always knows what pad the goalie is going to lift and when, its incredible
These didn’t get increasingly better… and u forgot the legendary merek Malik tweener
He didn’t say better, he said impressive 😀
@@blazer27bz the Malik one is probably the most impressive shootout goal ever💀
Bro chill out
Stop hateing
The last goal wasn't a shootout goal either lol
Hawks vs Wings Shootout never gets old. On one side you have Kane and Datsyuk on the other
7:19 i love the casual conversation going while skating in perfect formation
I would say that these get increasingly less impressive
Patrick Kane owns this whole video
Nah Datsyuk does
If this was puck handling yea Kane owns. Datsyuk is more impressive with his control and creativity
And Toews has the most shootout goals in history
2:07 The Genius🔥
Patrick kane owns the shootout, and Im sad to see him leave the hawks but at least he gets to play with panarin again and hopefully win another cup
They won’t win a cup lmfao they’re on the rangers
How do you not have the original Datsyuk deke on Marty Turco?!
That wasn’t in a shootout
I don’t know. That Kucherov no-shot goal in the 5-hole, early in the video, was pretty damn slick.
Never saw that before. Incredible
NHL shootout goals in no particular order.
As a former goalie this hurt to watch and I feel bullied lol 😩
Alex stalock would be triggered
At 3 40
5:16 This might just be the most impressive. What a release!
Also 5:57 the hands are just nasty ;)
My Boi Kane
He doesn’t like you.

That Laine release was ridiculous 😳
I'm glad they not allowing stupid spinorama moves in the shootout anymore
With that so beloved butterfly goaling technique, you feint once and you have 75% of the net opening up like magic.
2:22 the best part of Kanes move there is Datsyuk used the same move right before him and missed.
The first one was the best
Nash goal was nuts
Patrick kane really is the master of the shootout.
As a Blues fan it pains me to say you could make a 20 minute video of just Patty Kane and Datsyuk shootout beauties
Greatest sport in the world
You’re gonna throw in that last goal but the hertl between the legs is way more impressive. Tell me your a Boston fan without telling me you’re a Boston fan 😂😂
I thought the same exact thing! 😂
Probably like 2 of them r illegal now but was the panarin one legal at the time? If it was would it still be legal? 3:40
The ones I think that might be illegal now
0:04
0:41
0:56
3:40
4:53
5:01
5:45
No hate I’m just pointing that out
The Kane ones would be fine currently because he and the puck are keeping constant forward motion.
Only three of these would be illegal
Ryan o Riley has one of the nastiest shootout moves, shoulda included him
Panarin's goalnshouldnt have counted as he didnt keep forward momentum.
It was so blatant that he went backwards. Lol
#3 I didnt know you were allowed to have apes in the team. Amazing!
Alt title: Patrick Kane trolling goaltenders with filthy moves in SO
i love how 2 of these arent even shootout goals
Wasn't there a rule that the shooter can't move the puck backwards?
e.g. here 3:46.76 - 3:47 (3:52.73 - 3:53 for different angle)
Saved the worst for last
Is it just me that thinks that the Datsyuk one is way better than the last one?😮
List is invalid. Dosen't have enough Marek Malik

Missed Griffith’s shootout goal while he was with the bruins
Malkins at 0:42 was so illegal
no it wasn’t. the puck stays in motion the entire time
Not at the time
if you put the order in reverse they get increasingly better
Kucherov slick as frick
2:23 insane…
How does this stuff work in real life but not in nhl 22 like 😢
Well cuz there’s been rule changes but I think some these r possible
I know im a year late, but guys its just a title, enjoy the shots
You didn’t even have Datsyuk on Vokun…

Kucherov is the cold killer, on my opinion. The most Datsyukian, 007 shit.
The datsyuk one was the best I feel like they increasingly got more boring and repetitive after that
bro kane was a problem
Increasingly goofy when it gets to Nash

Disturbing lack of Paul Ranger in this video
Kaner is the goat
Goalies have to challenge Jerry Cheevers style
I thought if the puck moves backwards it's no good
spin’o’ramas were never cool imo. It’s for 4th liners who get 5mins of fame in a long shootout
L Malkin😂 2nd round pick, 4th line
Increasingly more impressive???
Jesus loves you
no crosby winter classic goal
No Malik?
Patty Kane was 90% of these
How is the supposedly MOST IMPRESSIVE goal one in which it w3as just that the goalie threw his stick at it?
Is it against the rules to go full speed, snow the goalie and when he cant see shoot? Like unethical and id get punches thrown at me but is it legal?
Increasingly More Impressive? No (but cute way to get people to watch longer)
half of these goals wouldnt stand in todays game. cant move the puck backwards.
Not having Datsyuks best deke in the highlights tells you everything about em.
Increasingly less impressive
But they did not get increasingly more impressive....
No Elias Petterson?

Slowing down in a 1-1 is not impressive in the NHL. Just saying. A bit of an easy route.
They get progressively more ridiculous. I would rather they just played until someone wins. Or go back to win loss tie. These shootouts are a joke!
I mean this was a decent video but in no way do these get increasingly more impressive lmfao 1st 1 was prob the best n late in the video u have a free awarded goal on 1 he didn’t even get a shot off…how is that more impressive than ANY of the others? 🤯🤦🏼♂️
Kaspers Daugauvins , the greatest almost a shootout goal in the NHL history of the stupid shootout.
You forgot all of these. And half of them are weak sauce ua-cam.com/video/pb5A4Ri2iZo/v-deo.html

First
Nearly coming to a full stop isn’t skill.
Not having the Datsyuk goal make this video trash.
If I am bling, I take this back.
Not NHL coach for that. Did not pay for that

Shootouts are stupid. No different than deciding an OT basketball game with a game of horse.
Some of these aren’t even shootout goals
Some of these are very mid who put this together
This is horse radish lmao

Man the editing here is so bad. Had to stop watching
Laine wasn’t impressive at all
Thank god only bruins in the whole video was my fav player netting the nastiest goal I’ve seen in years saved for the end 🥲
Ever heard of datsyuk terrible order btw it’s like you got bored have way threw your video 😂
