    really helpful, thanks. I've got a few important projects on the horizon and wanted to check if it was best to be still using milliput for everything, glad I've watched a few comparison videos before stocking up.

    Have you tried mixing any of them together yet? Apart from the usual Greenstuff+Milliput, which is good for soft edges, clothing, capes that sort of thing, although I prefer Magic Sculp from Sylcreate over Milliput usually, I'm giving Superfine White a try
    You can mix and match the Hardener/activator and the fillers, eg Silver from BS is the Activator and Yellow from GS is the Filler. I tried Brown+Blue the other night was pleasant to work with, long open time, and the cured sculpt is pretty hard. Will try Silver+Yellow next

    I´ve had the EXAT same experience as you, Milliput even ruined my working board, bc i just cant get it of... and the colers was everywhere, even on my roller pin... it still is... Annoying "stuff" Yet people swear to it for details..
    so for now, i really am a GS man. I might try mix with milliput, but i still find it very crumble-like.

    Just bought Milliput grey-and-yellow today, choosing it over the Army Painter (or similar brand) green stuff (the shop only had these two). Did I make a mistake?

    • @StevieSCustoms
      @StevieSCustoms  3 роки тому

      Not at all! It just depends on what you want to do with it and your personal preference! Milliput is a fine brand of putties if you ask me...

      @@StevieSCustoms custom bases as well as adding details to minis. I've got a couple of skeleton archers I've modded to be melee guys. They just need some shields.

    • @StevieSCustoms
      @StevieSCustoms  3 роки тому +2

      Miliput is great for that. It´s used a lot for bases, because it´s easy to work with, takes up details just fine and is cheaper than the `stuffs`. For shields that aren't too thing, it will work great also. Beware: miliput isn't flexible at all (as shown in the video from 4:20), so if it's a part that sticks outwards or you're planning on handling the model by the sculpted part, then miliput isn't your best option. I think for bases and schields, it'll work just fine though!

    You use the wrong kind of Milliput, Standard Yellow Grey is for minature or action figure scuplting, white is for ceramics and black intended for wood iirc. What also a lot of people use for action figure sculpting is Aves Apoxie

    Tiny Pellets isn´t as fun as Tiny Balls! ;) Nice video man! One other ability is that Miliput is soluble with alcohol or IPA, which can be solved into a slurry that is VERY usefull to fill small moldlines!
