Sorry but the people on the comments don't understand that these kind of projects are not being built for westeners, but for rich people from Asia and Africa. These kind of megaprojects are very appealing to them. For example, Dubai is a wet dream for asian people, and so will be NEOM and this 800 billion dollar box.

The most important question is if \slamic Sharia Law would be enforced within Neom as it is through out Saudi Arabia. If that's the case, the entire project is a completely futile excercise.

In the beginning, these giant projects are built for the Saudis, not for you
And yes we do not have (your sexual and porn interests) we do not have naked women on the beaches (to suit your instincts) we do not have nightclubs and girls dancing (to suit your sexual instincts) and we do not have bars or alcohol (to suit your interests)
We have respect in our lives and our women, we have our human rights and our solidarity that is consistent with (what we believe in) that you do not find in your country
So you go to countries provide you with what you want in terms of animal instincts, as we do not have these things

@@isaganipalanca8803 Aside from the Dictatorship of a country. This will pave new innovation of technology that will be used by our society long term. At least their government is spent on creating a Technological Marvel for socioeconomic improvement. Unlike the Western World such as the United States spent on Oils to fuel their Proxy Wars. It's just a double standard saying as if the western world has done Millions of Human Rights violations in the middle east. But I still stand by your belief on Saudi's human rights issues.
However, the real Fascist here is such a country of an 'illusion democracy' where they contort lies to their own citizens through powerful media corporations, Invading countries for the extent of Oil Expansion, and funding terrorists in the middle-east to counter their own economic rival countries. Instead of helping their own citizens from toxic industrial disasters that could have improved lives and free healthcare are instead given to a Proxy War in Europe that amounts to trillions of dollars.
Western Society doesn't have any moral right to dictate as a Holier-than-thou figure.

They say Muhammad was asked about Judgement Day and what signs would appear when it is close and he answered: "When the slavegirl gives birth to her master, and when the destitute, naked, barefoot shepherds compete with one another in building the highest buildings." The slavegirls begetting her master can be translated as rented uterus (when a man produces the sperm and his wife the egg and then implant it in the womb of a surrogate who goes through the pregnancy and delivery for money.)
The second part needs no clarification, as the Bedouins before the discovery of petrol and gas were the poorest people on Earth and they made their livelihoods raising sheep, goats and camels (shepherds.)
    The end is nigh folks.
