Jon Jones isn't a bad guy.
Everyone deserves a 19th chance .
Lol
haha perfect, I still like him tho, he's an asshole but he's like my asshole
😂best comment 😂
😂😂😂😂
He knows we must forgive 77 times.😂
Another classic, no one is doing it like Patrick.
he is one joe vincent level with mma docs
@@brucecamel7428😂😂😂
Sadly he doesn’t understand what the ufc fans want
Don't get it twisted, the fighting business is dope.
The fighting business is right there tbh
This vid is absolutely crazy. The way you did the ending is absolutely genius. I genuinely hope Jones sees this one day, literal goosebumps. Well done Patrick another BANGER.
He will
Yeah and then an ad ruined it lol 😅
If he does, he’ll say he loved it on camera, then go call Patrick a pussy and say he’ll kill him as soon as they turn off 🤣
@@tommy2swolehe’s had one fight in 3 years bro we’re not missing out stop hating
I don't think it'll matter that he sees it.
This might be the best video on UA-cam. The way you show the same clip at the beginning and then, with context, at the end... Goosebumps. Jon is asking himself, frantically, what he did. He's saying he hates himself. He knows what happened and is in denial about what he became in that moment. Insane storytelling. May we all find peace
Actually there's know video of jon assault his wife so your just taking her word they always take the women work she can say anything she wants rape than your done
This is single handedly the best UA-cam video I have every seen, from sad, to happy, to motivated, absolute chills, words can’t describe this video. Nominate this man for an award
You never cease to amaze, Patrick. This isn’t just UA-cam good, you are on another level with these documentaries, and you’ve really topped yourself with this one. Fucking bravo man.
He should be hired by Netflix
Netflix don't deserve him
Yeah
Bro needs his own show fr
Agreed!!!! ❤
This guy continues to make some of the highest quality mma content his content never fails to be amazing
Nah, it's generic.

Dude. That ending was insanely powerful. Holy shit. It gave me chills man. You’re amazing.
It’s so wild to me that Jone’s father is a pastor. Imagine the horror of what your son grew up to be
He’s made mistakes but who hasn’t, doesn’t make him irredeemable. I’ve grown to root for him, he’s matured a lot. Don’t be so quick to judge someone you’ve never met.
Exactly.. smh ppl these days
Yeah the horror of his son being the greatest fighter the world has ever seen…… so horrible.
My view on Bones walks in the line of him being a psychopath that doesn't care at all and puts on a nice guy facade and a genuinely good guy that can't get his shit together and has a hard time dealing with his own talent.
"God punishes you by giving everything you want to see if you can handle it" - Mike Tyson
And he couldn’t
Definite sociopath.
💯🙏👊
MJ, Tiger woods, Mike Tyson... nearly all goat sportsmen have one thing in common: They are killers. And this can't come without a dark side. Regular people don't understand. To get to that next level and separate yourself from the rest, you have to be crazy; and there is some baggage that comes with it. JBJ GOAT.
@@recrationI can’t wait to see what Ohtanis dark side does. Probably something to do with killing animals or some shit if I had to guess
First for Jon "Homelander" Jones 😅
Man. How did I not put Homelander in. Now I won't be able to sleep.
It’ssssss Timeeeeeee here to your left Homelander
Bonelander
Yea, that's the best example... All hate homelander but within that hate there's love and wish what would he be if he didn't have problems😅...
Man, you literally make movie quality documentaries! I could watch your videos all day long. They inspire me. You have a way of making me feel the emotion of the person you're documenting. You really have a special talent for this Patrick!
Man, i find myself coming back to your documentaries every once in a while, and EVERY SINGLE time I am amazed by the quality of your content. Truly a great watch!
This man never disappoints, its about time Patrick Gavia gets the recognition he deserves.
Appreciate your patience on Part 2! Had a blast diving into Relentlesss and understanding more about him. Onto the next doc!
Infantile.
can someone tell me what's the name of the song featured at the end?
Bro I love your videos
Any tips to on how you learned to make these style of mini documentaries? Love your work and would love to learn what tools you have on your belt.
Dude, the construction of that documentary was solid. The way the story line rises and falls lures one into depths of your theme. The references to the book, Relentless, and personification of John's identity as a, "Cleaner" simply weaved the whole project into a tight braid. Inspirational as f*@$. Thanks.
P.S.
I still believe your doc. on Dana and the UFC is prophetic- if I recall, it was made before the WWE merger as well as talk of unifying all championship belts into one - the BMF on the planet.
Just give it a few more years; at most.
Holy moly that was good. Congratulations to everyone involved in putting this together. If there’s a UA-cam Oscar’s then this video deserves to be nominated for best sports documentary.
I've already watched this video twice now!
the level of evolution of this channel is mind blowing, this is straight up a netflix level documentary and by far your best masterpiece of story telling yet!
AMAZING work man, keep doing what your doing and we'll be here to enjoy every second of em.
Don't disrespect the content we have here with the garbage that Netflix churns out.
Jones is a reflection of all of us. Ppl point and judge but go home and have their own battles and fight their own demons. The difference is Jones life and mishaps are live and direct on a screen for all to see. When it's all said and done he will go down as one of the greatest athletes ever, and a lot of his greatness comes from his testimony and resilience. To overcome mental obstacles is the hardest thing us as humans have to do, Jones has done this time and time again. Being a Albuquerque NM resident Jon inspires us to do better and not be afraid to succeed in the midst of Kaos, your mistakes, bad judgments and wrong doings are not the end.... you can turn things around and be a better person for it.
Underrated comment
I never hit no pregnant woman don't know about you
Just wanna say, I’m so glad you’re getting sponsors and ads & getting paid to do this. Because you’re easily one of the best on UA-cam.
Not many people have the ability to give you this kind of an experience with the already available content like Patrick does. He is truly special.
Love your MMA Documentaries, you do great work!
Patrick, that shit gave me goosebumps at the end. Absolutely unreal. You’re extremely talented. Your hard work has NOT gone unnoticed. Thanks for putting this together!! Much respect from Canada!
The ending was incredible. If that is his father as a pastor, saying those things just ring true with his son. It's pretty much ironic.
Every time I come back to the video it's like I am watching a completely new video. New title, clips, everything. Thank you for never changing the ending though. I think the ending is amazing.
Even the ads n the segue are flawless, Patrick is a genius!
You are the GOAT of this. You and Joseph Vincent are hands down the two best creators of documentary content. People need to realize that no one is perfect, I think the biggest thing about Jon is that he relates to a lot of us. You might think you’re perfect, but the fact is, ain’t nobody perfect. Nobody is without fault. More relatable than most fighters. It’s not a fake persona, it’s just a guy who has faults, and is also a crazy mf. You explained that perfectly in this video, me being into psychology, I can definitely get with this.
Can’t forget The Fighting Business
Obviously no one is perfect, but Jones got lucky, imagine if he would run a pedestrian in one of his drunk nights, it would be like Chris Benoit where your whole legacy is tainted by your actions, amazing fighter but he isnt my favorite by any means, one thing is having a dark side, and the other is taking lives with you, time will say greatness isnt necesarilly long, Even Lebron James is having some questionable moments, Great athletes and people were great, but they werent perfect or examples to the others
It is easy to higight peoples shortcomings, and it is easy to come to 'what ifs' but he isn't a truly bad person, I dont believe so anyway, he is flawed, like the rest of us. No one should idolise any other human being, but you can admire his dedication to sport and to fighting, that doesn't mean you condone ALL of his actions, I am sure he felt guilty enough after hitting the pregnant woman, we are not to judge, as the OP stated, none of us are perfect @@therokku7393
I have to admit, I was disappointed this part of his life was excluded from the documentary directly before his fight with Gane; Despite that, this was a compelling watch as per usual for your videos. Supreme work Gavia!
Jones' Father's (was it his father?) speech was incredible. Goosebumps!
The preacher? Yeah
@@cevcena6692I always think about the “What do you have to show for it” line.
Hey Patrick, I’ve been watching one video per day since I found your channel. You’re an absolute gem, thank you so much for the professional content!
This is probably the best video i have ever seen on youtube. The foreshadowing, writing, and sequencing is impressive. It really encapsulates his struggles so well.
It's time! I've been eagerly anticipating this one. Let's dig in!
This "cleaner" personality aspect is something I always thought about professional athletes, but above all, combat sports athletes. In order to be good at hitting another human, but above all, keep calm and composed when someone is beating you up in front of millions of viewers, requires a completely different mindset, emotional coldness and pain tolerance that "we" don't have, and we will never will.
I would say Jones became the GOAT precisely because he mentally deviates even from his fellow GOATs(Silva, GSP, MM, etc), he is the only one that fights like he is not even slightly concerned about his opponent body integrity, but also didn't let Gus break his mental integrity either.
You underestimate yourself. You underestimate everyone else. If you are willing to pay the price, you can make your body do anything.
Its a lack of honor and morals that you admire. We dont poke eyes or permanently injure the knees of our fellow competitors. Its not admirable. His juicing and treatment of his wife, all his criminal activity ignored.. Not a goat..
@@Al-ou3so exactly, majority of jon Jones opponents come in with already a defeated mindset, gus, reyes and santos didn't and took Jones to deep waters, Jones still proved his confidence was superior to all of them and pulled out wins from the deepest pits of hell
i’m begging for you next video, favorite channel lol
Jon jones said in his tweet that as a child he was molested, he's been through a lot of traumatic events, etc etc. If anyone suffers from such incidents he/she suffers from inner demons all life until that person doesn't acknowledges, embraces their weaknesses and do their best possible thing to cure it. You see this happening with every great athlete performing at the highest level, that pressure alone is unbearable to the ordinary man, let alone be considered as an all time great. You see Conor McGregor, mike tyson, etc etc ,,,, anyone who doesn't make things right by acknowledging their evil side suffers afterward if they keep on suppressing their emotions then it comes in worst forms. Meditation and medication both helps a lot, but the challenge is to fight and defeat the inner demons.
This is hands down some of the best editing out there. Love the docs 🙏👊
Haven't watched yet but Patrick is the GOAT of these bio/short stories. You're the man and made the right decision quitting everything to become a Joseph Vincent level of talent. Keep going PG. You're the man
Been waiting for this one for a long time. Outstanding work as always.

I love how you keep your content so fresh while still very well done. I never know what to expect, it's not like a canned formula.
its just crazy that this video has ONLY 680k views! although you deserve far more recognition, it just shine for itself the work u put in.
You make the best videos Patrick
That ending gave me chills. Amazing
Everything Patrick touches turns to gold. His documentaries are on another level compared to others. Keep up the quality entertainment Patrick.
Every documentary you upload is like a movie. So much effort put into it they're perfect.
This two parter was incredible and deserves way more notice. Great work and editing!
God damn your formatting is amazing the way you set all your clips up comes together so well and the way you fit the movie in…damn
We are all Jekyll and Hyde. Don’t let your dark side devour you! Outstanding commentary exploring the depths of the human psyche and the enemy within each of us. The perfect timing of the edits in this film are as on-point as a Jon Jones spinning back elbow.
23:24 "If you don't bring it to an end, it's gonna come to its own end". A profound quote by Mike Tyson right there
Everyone in this comment section are sad and miserable people. Ever since Jon has truly accepted Christ into his life, things have changed, he’s matured and he’s making good decisions now. You people need to learn to forgive and not judge.
Will u say that to any other criminal? Terrorists? You're the dumb one
Facts Fuck them Jon the goat 4L
Yeah people are quick to judge but that’s nothing new. I do believe he tried to be good but he had some demons and they fed in his drinking habit. Those events in his childhood could have been the cause if alcohol abuse
This video was nothing short of Amazing, keep it up
Patrick is such a talent doing documentaries. Given the chance, I would definitely let Patrick do my life story, i know its boring but this guy would undeniably make it EPIC.
You’re just so damn good man, and incredibly keep getting better. Didn’t think the Aljo documentary could be topped with how it delved into human psychology and mob mentality, but damn. You did it. Thank you for these videos.
Your documentaries are amazing dude! Keep doing great things!
4:50 “ so we jumped a lot of people growing up”💀😭😭😭
the way you direct these videos and how you edit them is *chef's kiss*. keep up the hard work because its amazing
Having read relentless this video is especially amazing
Bad guys never win, they may use some people and get a little bit ahead of them or the goodness in general, but they never win. The good guy who is capable and understands his shadow wins. Jones isn't a guy that wants to do harm. He more or less didn't manage his shadow, which in a way is his bad side. If he integrates it, which he now manages to do to a certain degree, understanding that there is a bad side to himself, he'll be one hell of a man. Not that he isn't now, bust still....
Very Jungian of you
Great mini doc. Interesting angle to look at the Jon Jones story. Real power and striving to be better mixed with human weakness and deep darkness. Love watching the UFC and the sport of MMA, but the stories take things to a new level. So much is revealed about a person's self when they are striving to be great. Especially in the fight game. Parables on the human condition.
Not condoning what Jones did, but can sort of understand why he is this way from his perspective
Another banger of a documentary 🔥
Your comment doesn’t get a like from the creator because you showed love for Jon Jones. It’s a great documentary but he continues to try to paint Jon in a negative light and it tells us loads about his character and how far he is willing to go just for clicks
@@TazmanianTraderhow can you possibly put him into a good light

As much as I respect Jones as an athlete, I genuinely believe he is simply just a bad person
He’s never been humbled, every time he fucks up it gets swept under the rug and he’s never had his ass beat viciously on the streets. Ofcourse he’s going to keep doing dumb shit
One has nothing to do with the other
@@inkognito3145it actually does. He does anything to win, including cheat in AND out of the cage and brutally try and kill his opponent instead of respecting them

I respect your opinion, but not everything is black and white.
I didn’t know he had a sister. Her manner of passing definitely has affected Jon. That being said, we learned about all the significant people who have impacted him. Is it me or did we not learn who his psychiatrist is ????? He definitely has to have shrink. RIGHT ??
I have a theory that jon jones is afraid of being good out of some religious belief that god takes the good ones early for example her sister

Damn Patrick, why Patrick why? This is the best documentary I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. Thank you
Jon Jones is truly one of the all time UFC greats, I have been following his career since 2011 and over the last 12 years, his list of opponents is stuff of legend and he beat them all, competed at the top level, Jon Jones a once in a generation talent, masterclass performance against Ciryl Gane, the GOAT is back 🐐👏👏👏
He’ll never be the GOAT.. why? How can someone be the best when they cheated to get there. I don’t care if he won every belt in the UFC, his legacy will always be tainted in that he used steroids, PEDs, etc. Anyone who thinks he’s the GOAT shouldn’t involve themselves in MMA
👉 👀 His ultimate technique: Cheating
@KennedyJr2024BAYBAY he'll never be the GOAT TO YOU. correction. Disqualify him if that makes you feel better. But speak for yourself. He's the GOAT to me and many others. What he is to you, is YOUR business.
@@anti4330 still makes zero sense. Now if I just hated Jon jones then that would make me an idiot to say he isn’t the GOAT. But again in ANY competition, if you cheat then obviously you can’t be great. To put in perspective, if you’re a weightlifter and you come in second place and come to find out the person who came in 1st place was on PEDs and was caught doing them, would you consider that person to actually be #1?
@KennedyJr2024BAYBAY you can't compare weight lifting and fighting because there are too many different components and aspects that go into fighting. Peds didn't help his chin or fight iq. You could make an argument though. Which is why I said he's either the GOAT, or you disqualify him no in between
Another great take and a whole different level to Jones as an Irishman I had no clue of his bros being pro footballers that’s crazy how they all succeeded yet their lives seem to be going the same way
What a great edit.... Jones father is intense in the end.
I met jon jones in vegas this last weekend, brother this video is epic but he is the one true goat.
Self Destruct... And Stiiiiiiiillllllll
I don't dislike Jon Jones, and never have, but I have a hard time rooting for him in light of his various transgressions. This documentary has created a willingness in me to be more empathetic towards him, and that's the power of Patrick Gavia's content. If you don't even know of the videos subject, or you can't relate to the subject despite knowing them, you will feel something impactful, simply because you watched it. Such a talented documentarian!
It was a difficult line to thread, for obvious reasons. That’s why I waited a while before giving it a shot. Thanks for the kind words!
@PatrickGavia You did so exceedingly well. It's hard to be unbiased when covering someone as polarizing as Jones, but you managed to do just that. Thank YOU for the reply, and for your continued excellence in your videos! Seriously, I get goosebumps when I get a notification, because I know I'm in for an emotional roller-coaster. And I mean that in the best way possible.
Powerful on many levels! Specially on a faith stand point!💔 my hearts goes out to the most dominant ufc fighter ever!
What an incredible job, without a doubt the best I've ever seen, keep going, congratulations!!!
