I am a 61 yr old single person who finally accepted a stray cat as my pet because the cat must have been living under my home for months. No chip, no tag, etc. etc. Why had I never had a pet before - middle income, college educated, no kids, own my own house? Because the cost of having a cat is a luxury. It's not "becoming" a luxury - the expenses of a pet have been a luxury for I would say a couple decades at least already.
Loved it, thank you for all the great info.

Pet insurance should also work like human insurance ... You still have to pay in full and then they reimburse you.
Do not put low income clinics in the boonies where poor people can't get to them. Also, why does money have to motivate everyone and everything
