I just adore you, and the way you care for your mother. When the time comes and she’s gone, you can look back without regrets, and that’s a good feeling. I am in the same boat as you, I have reached a point in my life where several friends have died, most of my immediate family is gone, and I do feel real lonely sometimes and miss those people to the point it literally makes my heart hurt. I go to mass almost everyday, I’ve been an Episcopalian all my life, and I do draw a lot of strength from that. I would adore being your friend, but, I am at least happy that I’ve found you here, and watching you is a bright spot for me. God bless you, Billy Gene, and know that that you are appreciated and helping people! Big hugs! Cordelia Tandy P.S . Were those wafers called Figurines? Pillsbury made them, and I made the same mistake, and ended up spending a lot of time on the 🚽 ! As my grandmother would say, it gave me the “miseries”. 😂😂
If used in moderation, honey is not only safe, but it also has anti-inflammatory properties, and helps reduce complications of diabetes. I use honey in many things. I also use maple syrup on sweet potatoes.
@@justmebillygene BG I was not blaming you at all. It's UA-cam for sure. I tried to repost my comment regarding your appliance you used for cooking your pork several times and got deleted within minutes of posting. Just wanted to make you aware of it. Have a Blessed day.
Oh Billy Gene, what a blessing to have mild weather! Here in Southern California we are having fires, earthquakes and scorching heat. The lows here are in the high 70s and low 80s! The air quality is so bad! I will need to get me an insta pot! God bless you and mother!
Hi Billy Gene! I have had good things about InstaPots, but I know that now that I am alone, I would end up not using it. I can cook, I am just not interested in doing it. Hugs to you and your delightful mama.
I think the browning adds an extra layer of flavor to the juices, too. I always my cooking liquid from doing meats like that, be it in the slow cooker, the insta-pot or just in a Dutch oven on the stove or in the oven. If I don't use for that meal to cook rice, noodles potatoes or such, I freeze for adding to soups.
It sounds like you were talking about those chocolate squares that were called " ExLax" for constipation . HA! My grandma used those and when I was very young and spent the night with her she ate one at night and I thought it looked good like chocolate and she gave me one and in the middle of the night I had the worst cramps and was going to the bathroom , it was awful !

No it's not exLax... Same outcome... lol, it was had to look up ( Ayds Reducing Plan Candy (pronounced as "aids") is a discontinued appetite-suppressant candy that enjoyed strong sales in the 1950 - 1970s and was originally manufactured by The Carlay Company.)

I love my instant pot and i have the cooking instructions posted on my refrigerator. I also enjoy my slow cooker.. especially in winter.
The diet chocolate squares were Ayds. They came in caramel flavor, too. Ask me how I know. 😂

I remember the chocolate squares, haha. Mom let me have one. I have never had an instapot. How is it different from a crockpot?
