David Bowie redefined musical genres and the potential of live performance for generations of music lovers. Creating and discarding a variety of personae and restlessly challenging musical boundaries, Bowie released timeless albums including Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust…, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, "Heroes,” Let's Dance, Heathen, The Next Day and many more. Blackstar, Bowie’s 28th and final studio album, was released on his 69th birthday, January 8, 2016. David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, two days after the release of Blackstar. His body of work, his influence on the worlds of music, art, fashion, film, theatre and beyond, and his legacy of innovation and reinvention will live forever. 2022 kicks off with Bowie 75, a celebration of his 75th birthday with the Brilliant Adventure box set, the previously unreleased Toy, the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust and a series of special events.

No surpirse that Bowie was the one that reinvented pop concerts how concerts are now showy theatrical events, with lights and props etc. He has a brilliant mind which is always life times away from any other artist. He look incredible here. His smile always amazes me it is like the smile is only for you, everything amount this man is pure genius and oh so special

@@skann9048 As has been said before, it was the triumphant conclusion of his greatest 14-year run in rock history, with the conquest of the final challenge, that is, commercialism. From that perspective, it's artistic weakness and popular success have a creative beauty in themselves. Everything before and after that 14-year run is good in its own right, but isn't part of the core Bowie storyline.

I saw the Young Americans tour in Los Angeles. He came out onstage, and I was about 10 seats from the very back of the stadium, with binoculars so I could see him bigger than an ant. I was crying so hard I fogged up the binoculars. So, he was about as big as an ant to my eyes throughout the concert, but the power, beauty of that concert is unforgettable to me. God rest your beautiful, creative, and ever-loving soul, Davy Jones.

4:40 On this weeks episode of animal planet, we can see a wild audience in their natural habitat, playing a friendly game of fetch with David Bowie.
Edit: Just realized this was posted before he passed away... I am now sad...

he had a fine diet of cocaine milk and peppers during his thin white duke era. there was no problem at all. he cleaned up after station to station and was clean for the berlin trilogy 1976-1979

Up until the mid 70's David depended in Tony Defires for eveything... even his cigarette money. Tony ruled Mainman with an iron fist. It wasn't until around 74 that David began finding out what was happening. Know why you never saw him on tour or release a record in 1975? That was the year of the legal disputes to free him from Defries contracts.
