Yeah - I was surprised that it flipped so well with the GoPro attached!. I wish I had put in some footage of it flipping without the GoPro or landing gear attached - it flips even better without it! Thanks for watching.
After watching this video last week I was very impressed. I bought the bugs 3, 2 extra batteries, a carrying bag, and a Gopro. It flies amazing and I’m very happy with it and I’m waiting for my fpv camera so I can get some fpv flight in while videoing with the Gopro. Liked and subscribed!
Your review of the Bugs3 is the best one out there by the way. Are you thinking of doing one with the new Holy Stone HS100? By the way will using carbon fiber props increase speed & payload capacity of the Bugs3?
XXTechMoXX ` I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but nigga doesn't necessarily mean black it's really no different than saying "this guy" or "my dude"
Only whites are racist in todays world, it's okay if anyone else uses racist terms just as long as you're white, also you can't be proud to be white cuz you racist LOL! funny shit these days
For only $100, assume it doesn't have: 1. Barometer to maintain elevation level, automatically. 2. GPS, to maintain horizontal position 3. RTH Are these assumptions correct? What's the flight time?
I don't think it does. Here is an interesting thread on RC Groups about LED power consumption. Thanks for the comment! www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?965719-LED-power-consumption-a-revelation
Been looking for a starter drone to take up the hobby and I think I've found it. As with most people here, I've been watching a lot of your videos. Great stuff. Of course, it's going to be the Phantom 4 Pro that I'll eventually end up with. I also think I'd like to try FPV. Is it possible you can do some videos using the Phantom with FPV goggles? Until recently I only ever saw the very fast drones using FPV, I also find that the sound they make can turn some neighbors off. But discovered I could use them with the Phantom 4. Keep up the good work guy.
If you were creative with some zip ties, velcro or double sided tape, you could definitely put a Session in the mounting bracket. It would just be a bit smaller than the bracket, so you would need to make sure it's secured.
That's really great and I must admit I would feel very nervous trying that out on the more expensive Go Pro Action Camera. I would also be dead scared of crashing the Quadcopter after say a couple of runs and loosing my money (LOL) But you handled this really well and it certainly did a great job with the Action camera I felt. This would be great for Ariel shots and video footage and I was quite amazed how cheap it was considering the quality of the Quadcopter here. I cannot say I have seen any over here in England and not even Amazon UK sells them either. I am not even sure if they are legal in my country. But I would not mind getting one and thought it was really good. Great review and really enjoyed.
Great video! I am curious however, how high can you take the drone and film what is on the ground? It looked like you only took it up about 25ft. Is that the limit or did you just choose to stop it there? Regards!
What camera do you use for shooting your videos? The resolution and quality is amazing! Thanks for this video too, it helped convince me to get a Bugs 3 drone. Do you have a battery recommendation? With the gopro attached, it sucks the juice very quickly. :-)
Brushless means there is no brushing. Brushed motors make contact between the drive line and outside coil and because of that they wear quicker but are cheaper to make and they can have a thinner form factor which is good for micro drones. Most quadcopter motors are brushless. Only the toy grade ones have the brushed motors and you have to be careful to not land or take off from somewhere sandy or dusty because particles getting into the motors will wear them down quick.
Hey man, thanks a lot for the review! Do you know or have you tested if the GoPro Hero 5 Black (so the 'upgraded' version of the hero 5) fits too? I hope you can answer my question, thanks in advance ! =)
are there any limitations to using a knockoff go pro on this bird?? can i still use the buttons to take pics and start & stop video recording?? i have an sj4000
If I wanted to use this drone with a go pro and monitor the video recording thru my cellphone, would the wireless signal from the go pro to my phone create interference with the drone and controller?
Is that gopro bracket attached to standard 3 prong joint? I want to ditch the bracket, but I need a way to attach a camera via standard tripod mount or gopro 3 prong mount/joint. thanks
Hi ready set drone, I really want this drone, but have no idea where to buy spare, batteries, motors and props could you point me in the right direction, just so I feel a bit more confident buying this quad
Could you try? It would be a great video for guys that want to use inexpensive drones for carrying baits out. Would get a lot of hits for being the first to experiment with the payload capacity:)
So I'm new to all this and thinking about the bugs 3 as my first drone. Does it matter that it doesn't have altitude hold or a return to home for a beginner? Basically I don't want to break it in 5 mins.
Bugs 3 is a good first drone. It is actually harder to fly than one with GPS, but if you can master the Bugs 3 (and I'm sure you can), you will be a good pilot! So yes, I think it's a good choice. Be sure to watch some of my Drone Flying Tips videos too!
This is much cheaper than a Karma and does not have a gimbal. So if you just want something to fly with a camera attached but are not worried about the footage being too smooth, then the Bugs is a great choice. If you want super smooth footage, then Karma. Although, I don't think Karma has been rereleased yet. Thanks for watching!
Do you ever have a problem with the battery not charging? I've had my bugs 3 for just under a week and it's flown and charged just fine up til just now when I took it in my backyard, the battery is totally drained and won't take the charge when I plug it in.
Ouch. One thing to try is getting a balancing charger and charging it with that. One nice thing about the Bugs3 is that its' a standard battery, so you should be able to find a replacement for it with an XT30 connector pretty easily. If you do get a replacement battery, consider getting a 3S - it will give you more punch! Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Hello! Quick question. The lack of "ease of use" features (headless, one key return, altitude hold) is the only thing that concerns me. Would a rookie drone flyer (me) have much trouble learning to fly this thing, and have trouble taking at least mostly stable videos with a GoPro? Thanks for any info!
Great question. This drone is more challenging to fly and get good video with than a Phantom/Mavic/Solo because it is fully "manual". My recommendation would be to learn to fly it without a camera...fly smoothly...turn smoothly...and just overall get good at it before you try to do video with it. Again, you could make some good video with it, but you'll need to master the basics of flying first. Good luck!
I've had mine for 5 days, (1 battery a day) and it was so bad to begin with! I thought I'd never get to grips with it as my first drone. It's day 5 and I feel like a pro. Nowhere near as good at flying as this guy tho! Amazingly smooth 😊
that is one lucky kid wth a dad who have many drones
Neh they actually return the drone after they review it
indeed
Can everyone go subscribe to my channel just press my icon
the flips made the video worth watching. I was waiting for the crash. good surprise!
Yeah - I was surprised that it flipped so well with the GoPro attached!. I wish I had put in some footage of it flipping without the GoPro or landing gear attached - it flips even better without it! Thanks for watching.
Your boy talking about the Energizer batteries was actually very entertaining.
Deeez?
u have a decent Camera guy. he is pretty good.
Idk why I'm watching this, I don't even have a GoPro!
You can also use a cheap GoPro knock off like the Legazone Sports camera for $44. Here's a link to it. amzn.to/2iJdL46
Thanks for watching!
Ready Set Drone you should check out my youtube channel. I have a phantom 4 drone edit and I would like your feedback
?
Dj Matthias f f. Wdfverw cxdfc
same lol
Great! This is just what I was looking for: A cheap drone capable of flying with a GoPro-style camera on it. Thank you.
Greetings from Portugal.
Your 'assistant' is going to the be the star of the show.. let him host an episode and you're going to be his assistant :-)
LOL i like it
great video! definitely getting this ... i cant afford a phantom just for cinematic b footage. subscribed & thumbs up!
Thanks!
Looks like an entertaining drone to fly my hero 3 around in, I just bought one, thanks!
It is indeed! Thanks for the comment!
Your review of the Bugs3 is the best one out there by the way. Are you thinking of doing one with the new Holy Stone HS100? By the way will using carbon fiber props increase speed & payload capacity of the Bugs3?

Amazed to see a good father ?
I'm surprised at how stable the video is from the GoPro without much jello too. Pretty good and the flip kind of makes it all that much more fun!
one word, or maybe two, lol........SUPER BIRD.....considering value for money? a sure winner.......great work guys, keep it up.....
Yep!
Impressive.... TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!!!
I will buy one already I hv determined . Great review, great cute looking drone. 😁😁😁
You do awesome videos i have the Syma x5c
did anybody see the cow at 11.14
Yeah. Funny
The cow is thinking "Moo.....the neighbors are playing with a drone again, they better deliver a treat next time"
conor clancy 11:40 click it
conor clancy 11:14
i didn't lol
Make for good panning shots and general scenery. I got a syma x5c so it's pretty bad picture and way too light
The Bugs3 can definitely get you better footage than the Syma X5C.
Amazing video thank you so much sir, can I recommend trying syma x8 with sj7000 combination
Your review of the Bugs3 is the best one out there by the way. Are you thinking of doing one with the new Holy Stone HS100?
For the price this thing looks pretty good. Like a solid starter flying camera.
Just ordered one thanks for the great vid
thats amazing.... i have an old gopro hero 4 here....you know... i will use it with this drone... thats a fantastic lowcoast drone
Awesome review. Thanks
“Proud of me daddy” 😂😂😂
i like your vids. especially. this one. thanks. happy new year. :-)
For only $100, assume it doesn't have:
1. Barometer to maintain elevation level, automatically.
2. GPS, to maintain horizontal position
3. RTH
Are these assumptions correct?
What's the flight time?
Tom Spurlock that's right
nice drone and demo
Can u do a review over aee Toruk ap10 or 11
I wonder if the LEDs will suck a lot of power.
I don't think it does. Here is an interesting thread on RC Groups about LED power consumption. Thanks for the comment! www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?965719-LED-power-consumption-a-revelation
detailed video with nice explanation, cool.
Thanks!
Great Video! Thanks to you, I found my new drone and camera!
how can I get one

Does this quad have to be registered? Great vid! Thanks in advance
+Diego I. It does not. It's under the weight limit.
awesome video sir, regards from indonesia.
your assistant knows whats up !!!!
Hi I have a go pro session do you think I could mount this instead of a camera ?
If you were creative with some zip ties, velcro or double sided tape, you could definitely put a Session in the mounting bracket. It would just be a bit smaller than the bracket, so you would need to make sure it's secured.
Ready Set Drone Hey man, could you name or link an extra / replacement battery that would work/fit this drone?! Thanks!
Cole Lakely just search it up on amazon 🤦♀️
Your kid is a goof. I love it.
Really love this video,i subscribed
That's really great and I must admit I would feel very nervous trying that out on the more expensive Go Pro Action Camera. Good video. I wish that i found your video first before I lost my bug 3.
What camera do you use for shooting your videos? The resolution and quality is amazing! Thanks for this video too, it helped convince me to get a Bugs 3 drone. Do you have a battery recommendation? With the gopro attached, it sucks the juice very quickly. :-)
I mostly use the Panasonic FZ300. Thanks for the comment!
What camera are you using on your left side? Quality looks amazing.
its really stable and awesome
COOL VIDEO THANKS
Great video! Really helped me buying a drone, and I've been looking for a while!
is that drone can fly with a gimbal and a camera ??? and what about the one key return ???
What do you average on flight time? Good job Tate!
wish it had altitude hold, still looks like a good flier.
That kid is the best part XD he's awesome
Agreed!
what does brushless motors mean?
KamoCubes it means it is stronger and can spin faster than brushed motors
And usually have a longer lifespan but are more expensive
Not true at all. Brushed motors have resistance which causes it to draw more power and have quicker motor wear.
It means you can't comb your hair with them.
nice video! I'm looking into getting my first drone and this was a very good review on this particular drone. your shirt is awesome btw.
The Bugs3 is a good first drone. Thanks for watching!
Very Smooth.
Thanks for the awesome video! Are you using image stabilization in your video editing software or is the drone actually that steady?
No, the drone is pretty stable. But keep in mind, there was no wind and I was flying pretty smooth. But that was raw footage with no gimbal!
With the prop guards, landing gear & camera mount. Could it support a payload? 6oz maybe? Thanks:)
I would think it could carry 6 oz fully loaded.
Pretty good! Thx!
man that's the best drone Iv see for $100 love how it handles
Does it work with a GoPro Hero 5?
Yes it does!
Nice
Hey man, thanks a lot for the review! Do you know or have you tested if the GoPro Hero 5 Black (so the 'upgraded' version of the hero 5) fits too? I hope you can answer my question, thanks in advance ! =)
I like what I see where drone's come in to it, I've got the syma sc 5sw
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
9:30 Thank me later. This dude has alot of intro
And how flying with a little wind ? I own a GoPro 4 too, does it loose signal at high altitude or u can fly watching go pro live at cellphone?
Awesome video :D Just subscribed
Ok, veeeeery good review, I'm subscribed, good job man
Like the video very detailed. Can you do a review on the MJX RC x101
I have not heard of that one. I will check it out. Thanks for the comment!
does it really cheap
holy moly that is some nice grass..
are there any limitations to using a knockoff go pro on this bird?? can i still use the buttons to take pics and start & stop video recording?? i have an sj4000
That should work just fine. The bracket that holds the camera is pretty open, so I don't think any buttons would be blocked. Thanks for watching!
looking for a stable platform for my GOPRO 4 SILVER for under 100.00 happy i found you. Thank You Allan
brilliant video, info, thanks loved it....
awesome video i think i just might buy this!
Great review.
Did you use any gimbal for the camera?
If u can get a slightly bigger drone, thats cheap and get a gimbal from gopro. Ur gonna get legendary results
If I wanted to use this drone with a go pro and monitor the video recording thru my cellphone, would the wireless signal from the go pro to my phone create interference with the drone and controller?
I have a question related to this drone. What would happen if it runs out of battery during flight, will it simply fall?
Fantastic. Great review. Thanks guys :)
Gracias por mostrar..nuevos modelos...
You are welcome!
Cheers, nice review ! Well Done
That flip would come in handy if a bird dives at it!
Do you think it would be able to hold a smartphone (f.e. p20 pro)?
How many minutes this drone can fly until run out the battery please?
he did a voice over the whole time he was flying the drone
BB_Riz pretty sure he just left his camera running the whole time and overlayed the audio
Is that gopro bracket attached to standard 3 prong joint?
I want to ditch the bracket, but I need a way to attach a camera via standard tripod mount or gopro 3 prong mount/joint. thanks
Hi ready set drone, I really want this drone, but have no idea where to buy spare, batteries, motors and props could you point me in the right direction, just so I feel a bit more confident buying this quad
my neighbours would do their nuts if i filmed their back gardens
I have a bait release but it weights 7.5oz. To heavy? Looking for a cheap alternative to the Phantom that can handle a 12oz payload.
I should guess that 12oz would be fine, but I would need to test to be sure.
Could you try? It would be a great video for guys that want to use inexpensive drones for carrying baits out. Would get a lot of hits for being the first to experiment with the payload capacity:)
Just got a responce from a seller that the MJX Bugs 3 +++ has a maximum upward lift of 230g, so 8oz. Thx.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing that info!
Can you tell me or make a video about the headless mode? Because i don't know what that is. :s
Could the propeller chop a finger off? Seems sketchy to fly around people
which one would you recommend that follows you?, I am interested to use it while skiing. I do have a GO PRO already
For that sort of thing, you want follow + obstacle avoidance. Mavic Air is . great choice!
So I'm new to all this and thinking about the bugs 3 as my first drone. Does it matter that it doesn't have altitude hold or a return to home for a beginner? Basically I don't want to break it in 5 mins.

are there any on the market that come with a steady gimble?
sir would you recomend me .. syma x8hg or this quad mjx bugs3 ?
Out of those 2, I would buy the Bugs3. Bugs3 Specs and Pricing: goo.gl/H0Bem5
would you recommend this over gopro karma? on a non drone related question, where did you get that gopro carrying case i really dig that.
Ready Set Drone Karma has tendency of falling out of sky. They had to recall all 2500 sold units.
Do you ever have a problem with the battery not charging? I've had my bugs 3 for just under a week and it's flown and charged just fine up til just now when I took it in my backyard, the battery is totally drained and won't take the charge when I plug it in.

how much was the flight time ?
About 10 minutes.
that's short man!
@@SweetPeachannel It needs to be light for action cameras.
Hunter Mitchell thx mate .. I do have a Sony fdr
