- Apollo takes us through his incredible off-grid Tiny Home, which he built himself out of a converted army truck / military vehicle. He lives in this off-road capable rig full time so that he can live near his work sites - where he clears and renovates properties.

Military truck and chain saw at the ready, reminds me of the original Doom guy. ❤it.
Who else was waiting for him to ride the bike down that narrow ramp and was disappointed when he used the wench? 😁
😂😂😂
Yeah bloody chicken lol
Blud said wench like bro makes the lady carried the bike down😭
Wench? I think he's single.
Very cool. Looking forward with what you do with your 6x6
Would love to see him do videos of his build for the 6x6.
I drive one of these in the army, its called a LMTV (light medium tactical vehicle) thrse trucks are a work horse, you can take them about anywhere, you can deflate this tires from inside the cab to either drive across sand or lower the height of the truck. I absolutely love these trucks, there is no terrain these trucks cant handle 🇺🇲
Its a nice setup, i would only recommend maybe a coupe tweaks just to make it a little easier to live in.
If you're a tosser when you sleep, youre likely to accidentally kick the monitor and break it; maybe find a way to keep the monitors below the mattress and out of the way?
And maybe make a basic drain pump system that is built into the shower so you can just flip a switch and it pumps to the grey tank. Minor things that would go a long way in the long run, thats all.
Yay! A real office chair! This is the first build I've seen that has a real office chair.
I love this layout. It's very stark -- but it works -- and feels very sane & practical. However, if I had my wiring under my desk like that, with no protection, I would be snagging my feet on the wires all the time & likely pulling them out.
I agree. The whole thing works, but that was the one thing I didn't love about this build was the under-the-desk wiring. I've seen a couple others where people hid/plant them inside their thick shower/back walls haha.
With the rising cost of home 🏘️ ownership and mortgage and rent, mobile homes are now in trend.
What's more, these new small home owners are getting more and more creative.
At $100k plus another $45k into the truck This thing costs as much as a average single family home in the Midwest and you’re not going to get a 15-30yr mortgage on it.
@@Civiliansoldier762and all that he pays in gas is as much as or more than some pay for thier utility bills
@@Civiliansoldier762 Buy flatbed truck and put prefab home on it😅
@@Civiliansoldier762 ln some places in the country $100k is a drop in the bucket. God bless you.
@@Cynthia-fx4we ok, move then? nobody cares that you chose to harm yourself financially.
Very handsome smart man with amaxing van injoy watching
Awesome tiny home and an engaging personality to boot.
I cant stop looking at his BULGE!! Damn!!!
I knew someone in the comments had to mention it and the thickness of the rear. Before one shakes he totally was advertising himself as much as the truck
This was one of the best and most interesting videos. I love this build. It's everything one would need to be comfortably practical. Thanks for the tour.
I get my learners permit in a year. I wonder if he would let me drive it?
I think he would. He seems like a nice guy with a beautiful smile. @@digby_dooright
He is rich for sure
Gorgeous, I really like the truck too.
lol - I see what you did there! 😉
Apollo is CUTIE! ❤❤❤
I know of someone who took the LMTV chassis and removed everything from the bed and placed a mini camper on it. I've slept in the back of one of these back in my Army days, and even with nothing but a sleeping bag they make good shelters.
If anyone has seen the 80's movie called Mega Force. Apollo's bike looks like one of the Bikes from the movie. Nice place he has.
The tool box dresser is brilliant!
The reason your tires are not lasting long is because if you go over 55 MPH on that tire (for the S&S military trucks) they will heat up and slowly melt.
Keep it around 50 and the tires will last a shockingly long time, like years long.
The one thing I own that I love the most is my small standing desk and office chair, and always thought I 'd like to have it in my future tiny home. It's amazing to see you have it in your tiny mobile home. You could even add some cushions on top of the water tanks in the back under the bed to make a tiny couch. Very nice practical build
This is the one being auctioned on C&B right now!
Love it. Even the tool box as a chest of drawers. Awesome!
Wow wow ! This is amazing & can go anywhere without no issues! This one is one of favorite ones ! Great build !
Awesome Loved the truck, the guy, the bike, all of it.
I used this same exact type truck for 6 years in the military as a work shop when deployed and in the field. Oh the memories.
I built part of that truck on the line in Sealy Texas in 1998. Good to see you making good use!
I'm chanting for a man like this in my life.😍
Same!
I love it, except for one thing I wish you could make one of those a walk-through from the cab
I literally just found this truck for sale today...auction is at $10300 on 10/5/2023. I just googled Stewart and Stevenson for sale and it came up. Listing says there is only 17,000 miles on it so doesn't seem like this guy traveled that much in it. I would put the link but I don't know if UA-cam would delete the comment thinking it's spam.
Link please !
Wow thats absolutely well planned out. Pretty convenient all way down to the motorcycle.
Friendly tip to anyone thinking of buying one of these. The flat sides of the truck makes a great projector screen for watching movies or playing console games. I took a projector with me through all 3 of my Iraq tours. And some guys saw myself and the other mechanics playing Rock Band using my projector and Xbox. And shooting it onto the side of a LMTV truck. Next thing I hear they have one of their own and took it with them as they traveled from FOB to FOB.
Love that.
Good build! I appreciate a guy who's all about utility rather than just aesthetic. Although, I didn't initially love the amount of space the motorbike took up, I dig his unique solution with the bed lift. Saves a lot of space even if he just put it in to watch movies on his PC screen haha. Wonder how hard it is to fix the lift on his own though if it goes out.
That would be nice for a couple of weeks out of the year visiting folks across the country. Plus fishing and camping would be grand as well.
dude, I like you attitude of keeping it simple. The enterior got potential for improvements to make it more cosy. Also you always have to take the bike out when you want to go to sleep?
😅wishing I could buy the old one off them when they get the upgraded version set up! This is so well done!
There is a self recovery winch you can add to it for emergencies
Very creative and nice has what you need for one person. You did a great job converting it.
Glad your safe Apollo ;) 12:08
SMART & Magnificent idea❗❗ Looks very safe!!
Alright, this is the life I was looking for, finally! Something like this would be the life for me.
Great setup in that rig.
I always thought Unimog's would be good. Super utilitarian.
one of these days ... I hope to be to the point where I could have someone tour my "house truck" ... so much to do
awesome truck setup, I like it!
That was excellent!
That is beautiful minimalist design
Love it! What an awesome build.
Thanks for your unique and interesting videos.
Would love to see the buildout for this truck (or the next one!!).
Very well kitted out!
You got some great ideas there thank you You're helping me it with my build I will be starting in about a month. It's time to declutter my life. Love the shower idea love love love.
There are a shit ton of military vehicles that would easily be capable of tiny homes, though the gas consumption and size might be factors. I could see myself with a tiny home in a deuce and a half, or a 5ton for relatively cheap.
Someone actually doing it rather than just pretending. Thank you.
Love your style. Jealous… stunning build.
We agree! This build is impressive 💪
very nice set up
Love the stealth solar panels❤
Love your home and its very nice inside.
this is awesome- wish I was this creative, very very cool
Love the winch system n ramp for the bike! Brilliant. (N love all things ikea lol) 🍻
Awesome!!! If shit goes down here that dude is gonna disappear and we will never see him again. He will be on top of some mountain somewhere
That's pretty cool. And Ikea is pretty convenient too
I wish I had money to do such activities. Very fun. Very functional
I enjoyed you're video.Thank you.
Looks amazing!!!
Super cool this Home
Really cool. Pricey but cool.
I love this! It is such a guy thing!! It is just wonderful because it is so right for him and his needs and this is what tiny homes are about, suiting your individual needs!! I really admire this cool build!!
Great work nice home
Loved this!
I definitely want a 6x6, the bed is 10 feet long, I'd put a chopped down shipping container on it.
I have a M1083- 6x6 means....more tires....and even less mileage 🙂
@@roceye a vehicle that big, you're not really worried about MPG
WoW! Very cool!
good job nice work
the background music in this video is so good i was jamming
that is very impressive
He's a real nomad!
Dude !!I love it man !!!!!! 🙃
This guy I'd a flipping genius.
pretty cool!
Amazing 😮😊
Sure looks terrific , not sure there couldn’t be simple improvements to plumbing
Wow. Golden Gardens at Ballard!
Dean
Seattle
I live in a fifth wheel, it's not where it's like to be but someday i dream of traveling in whatever vehicle i make my home.
Very nice
36 days to finish all of that? thats pretty fast. Most truck campers i watch always takes around 3 to 4 months to complete
I must say... your Abode is totally* Awesome "😅🎉
Ikea owes him a check
I'm just guessing here... But I think that it looks like a whole lot of fun 😃
Driving this vehicle needs a big space to park anywhere, permits needed too in some places, it should have kitchen too
I’d like to find one of the M-800 series long frame office trucks that the Army had
For one thing the tires weren’t as big as his and you could swap out the tube type split ring military wheels for tubeless either steel or aluminum rims to hold 1100r 20 ‘s in either a luggers or highway treads and like this guy regear the differentials
Very cool but very expensive to run and maintain
Thanks for the lift bed video... it seemed the motor was very quiet, any chance you might share where that was sourced please?
Love it
Hopefully you actually build out the interior next time. great start Tire blow excessive heat from driving over 50.
Cool 😮
Nice real nice 👍🏽
Nice job but if your tires don't last long and replacement becomes an expensive issue what the point of using and choosing this , you won't be able to travel far without worrying about tire issues and the expensive downtime with single or multiple blow outs ..
That thing is heavy heavy.
Great Military Home build-
Impressive. I dont think theres much this guy cant do... Lucky gal that gets him 😉
Cool ❤
GREAT EPICsode
This is gonna be dope when the apocalypse comes.lol.💜
I would paint it camouflage
Not sure what’s hotter, the truck or the guy 😍
