Nintendo needs to add in a game mode called “Endless uncleared” any level that hasn’t been beaten is in there and if while you are playing a level it gets beaten it alerts you so you can skip if you want.
Thats a very good idea but the thing with the alert that it got beaten could be hard to make in the game:/ After all it would be very cool if we had something like this in MM2.
Or Speedrun style if someone gets the first clear... then you don't and you can beat the level for no additional progress to the run... or skip to try another chance.
No need to add an alert or anything, you find uncleared levels and if it gets beaten while you're playing it doesn't matter, you get +1 in the endless thing anyway

Ryu, you missed the dev squirrel suit right at the end of the second level! You could have skipped the whole second half and didn't even need to worry about hitting a propeller
I don't think that was a dev squirrel, I think instead that was just for a cool little clip at the end where Mario clings to the wall and gets the power up. However if you skipped the entire second half and got that squirrel suit to finish the level, I think it would be considered cheese.

@@jschmidty2332 It could be easy to forget that you can pass through the flagpole as long as you haven't cleared the clear condition. They even have the entire section blocked off so that the only way to get to the other side is to grab the flagpole, which may have lead to the oversight of being able to go through it without the clear condition. The entire theme of the level is keeping your squirrel suit so it's not hard to understand why they might put a squirrel suit at the end, specifically after the flagpole that seems strategically placed so that the player can hit it upon getting off the flagpole, and there's a strategically placed block of land to stop the player, so that Mario can pick up the suit. The way I see it is that it's either a mockery of the player for keeping the suit throughout the entire second half of that level (which I personally think is unlikely because if they wanted to do something like that then why not make it possible to go through the entire level without a squirrel suit?) or it's an oversight with otherwise good intentions and is potential for cheese.

I think that strange speedrun level was trying to show you how to complete each mini section as you got there and died, so that you could just full speed it next time through in minimal deaths... pretty neat idea
You could’ve also cheesed that 2nd level w/o the dev pover up, just need to take the propeller suit in the 1 block gap get into the pipe take the acorn from there and win
