There are a few things that I enjoy about your videos; the first is the realism of your environment, i.e. your kids crying or playing in the background, things going wrong and you recovering, flour all over, etc. This is like our home and makes me feel that you are like me or the average household. The second thing is using your teaching skills to break down the tasks and explain the cooking process. Feel free to add more of your science background. It helps us understand the 'why' behind cooing. Keep it up. I am enjoying your videos.

What an awesome culture that you can openly love and say "my husband". I smiled when you said it. I can't imagine what my parents will do if I had this situation. Actually I do know. They will hang themselves.
I never knew he was gay. I thought he was a good straight gentlemen. Wow. Really surprised me. I've always wanted to see his "wife" but there isn't one. Dang.
I have to laugh because as I was watching this video I was just crunching into a cooke from a batch I made a few days ago. The oven had turned off in the middle of baking those cookies (it's a glitch with our oven that no service tech on earth seems to be able to repair!). I left the cookies in the oven for an indeterminate amount of time, since I didn't know how long to keep them in a rapidly cooking oven. (I can't reset the oven until it's cooled down). Well, long story, long....the cookies came out very flat and burnt on the bottom! You would have loved them! I'm hoping today's batch comes out more to our liking! Thanks for your wonderful videos.
I always say the act of breaking open the cookie and the crumbs falling out are the calories falling out so then I can always have just that one more cookie... 😋🤪

I was craving cookies tonight and had some chocolate chips so I gave this recipe a go. Instead of pecans I toasted walnuts since that's what grows basically in front of our house so we have an exessive amount. DE-LI-CIOUS!!!
skip the brown sugar + 227g butter (1cup) & 227g cake flour + 1 whole egg ONLY. do not egg 2 eggs as it will make your cookie thick and hard. Easy ratio to remember by : 1 part butter + 1 part flour + 1 egg. Multiply as needed if you need to make more. Reason why I use cake flour is because it has added cornstarch in it. It makes your cookie crispy and crumbly.
I can tell you how I just achieved crispy flat ones with this recipe. Oops! I must have left the butter get too soft because my cookies looked so different from the ones in this video. Oh well, lesson learned.
