    Best modification you could make. I installed a Yoshimura system on my '14 CB1000R the first week few days after getting her home. It's amazing how much more in sync you are with the bike when you can hear what's going on.

    • @vintagerealityvr
      @vintagerealityvr 2 роки тому

      @No_Name it's not that much louder under ~4k rpms (it's just a lot more bassy/low end) so it's not a problem riding in and out of my neighborhood. I have a video clip of the sound before and after if anyone is interested

      @@vintagerealityvrhow did you take the db killer off

    • @vintagerealityvr
      @vintagerealityvr 4 місяці тому

      @@mr.shield341 it's pretty hard but also easy. unscrew the bolt holding the baffle in. go to home Depot and buy a few long threaded metal bars (thin enough to fit in the baffle hole, I have the 2x2 baffle so I had to go thin.
      go to the fittings aisle and find some combination of a a hook (half eye hook), nut, washer, etc that you'll be able to thread onto the metal bar, in order to insert into the baffle and "grab" the back of it ( I used a combination of a half eye hook and a nut and was able to hook on to the back/ inside of the baffle).
      then, You need to become a reverse impact hammer. You have to pull it out in hard short bursts over and over again until it starts to loosen and slide out. took me about 5 minutes of constant reverse impact hammering to be able to pull the baffle out with a pair of pliers.
      It's easier if you get a metal tube that you can put the threaded rod through, along with a stopper washer+nut that it could hit against. think about it like, You are holding the metal tube as a sleeve for The metal rod with one hand, And with the other hand sliding the rod and hook backwards through the tube to generate Force against a lock nut.
      It's pretty difficult to get out, But once it is out it can go in and out pretty easy. You aren't damaging anything it's just the metal is so tightly fit. that sounds like a lot of work, But it actually is pretty simple.

    Install the same exhaust on a 2020, but my biggest issue was over tight fairing bolt which needed drilling out as easy-outs would work. A real pain and more time wasted.

    • @NYDStories
      @NYDStories  2 роки тому

      No i did not, latest exhausts from Akropovich do not require a tune (this was written on their website for my specific exhaust), they dont provide ecu mapping. Most of the people still take the mapping from other exhaust and tune them up.

    • @NYDStories
      @NYDStories  Рік тому +2

      Its louder and a different sound pattern than the stock, it also affects the power, I did not measure it on the dyno, but other riders did, with this exhaust and kn intake filter you are close to 100hp zone

      I’ve just installed a db killer into my bike after buying it without one. Idle is 91dB with it installed vs. 100dB removed. It’s also much bassier in sound. I’ll upload a video to my page to demonstrate the differences.
