the gloves are absolutely a pro idea. I used to live right by a Goodwill outlet where you can definitely find feces, used needles, broken glass, etc. so I would recommend a pair of thick work gloves to protect you from anything sharp. you can put nitrile gloves underneath
Even just touching the clothes racks to move clothes aside to look can make your hands smell funny so yes gloves are a good choice..

That is wild that you brought up colonics in your video! I was on the treadmill yesterday morning- at the gym with my headphones in, listening to the girlies. This woman goes on the treadmill beside mine, motions at me, & proceeds to sell me on this discounted colonics program her company offers ant end of year. It’s so weird to be approached but what she kept saying that her colonics are “mainly for the giblets.” No idea what that means other than a Thanksgiving term, but she abruptly turns off her machine & told me that my giblets were visible. I looked but have no idea. Somewhat jarring of an experience, actually. She seemed way too eager to try to sell strangers colonics at 7am.

She kept ranting about giblets/jibblets however you say it & her special prices for colonics and digestive stuff. I’m afraid she will be waiting for me to return to the gym…..or will find me haha. Dumpster diving is not illegal everywhere just a PSA it technically is legal in all 50 states just don't trespass where there are no trespassing signs. Check local laws of course in case it's illegal in your county but for the most part it's fine as long as you're not hurting anyone or doing other illegal activities of course. Bath and body works and bed bath and beyond are 2 great places to successfully dumpster dive.

No idea if this will be seen, but that last item is used by diabetics to test for ketones. Large levels of ketones puts you at risk for ketoacidosis, a life threatening condition where your body brekas down fat for energy and can lead to death.
More like for people who do keto diets I'd say, if you are in danger of ketoacidosis, for example if you have T1D, it's a safer option to have blood ketone strips instead of urine, since DKA can escalate and be lethal in a very short period of time
I have Type 1 Diabetes and I wasn't aware there were blood ketone strips. Couldve saved me a trip to the hospital haha @Effy2023
@@raelazuiker323 yup there are, I'm not from the US but here I buy them from the pharmacy, I use the freestyle libre machine with the blood strips ( Abbott FreeStyle Precision β-ketone). Always good to have for an emergency. Besides diagnosis and one covid related DKA incident, I usually had a tendency to develop DKA from starvation ketones (which would lead to euglycemic ketoacidosis-dka with normal glucose), but that stopped when they put me on Omnipod and Dexcom (I used to be on multiple injections and finger sticks). Still I always have a box of blood ketone strips for emergencies though, so far ketones way under 1 mmol/L. They cost 21 euros per 10 strips here, pricey but you shouldn't be needing them often of course
