One thing I can say about Dodge, they surely know how to do a commercial.
The Hornet is an absolute insult to muscle cars. And putting the Charger/Challenger/Durango in this ad, what an insult to those great cars

I have been a Mopar guy my whole life. You can count me out of anything electric. And just when they were making some really cool cars they come out with the Dodge equivalent of a Mustang Mach E. Dodge please give us what we want……Hemi cars and trucks!

I sincerely hope that there is not a single person in the world who would buy this, so that sales would fail so badly, so that Dodge would understand that it is not necessary to dance to the electric tune, but to do your v8 until the end of time. And if you want to make electric cars, then you don’t need to compare them with these great cars, you don’t even need to make advertising, let no one know that you are making electric cars, you don’t even have to put them in the showroom, but somewhere in the backyard. Who needs to find it.

I've loved Dodge since I was a kid. Back in middle school and high school, I watched the entire Dukes of Hazard series, Bullet and Vansishing Point because I was obsessed with the 1968 and 1969 Dodge Charger. I worked hard and earned money to lease a 22' Challenger rt. The Hornet is cool and the Demon 170 is spectatcular! However, I'm getting frustrated by the fact that there has been no new updates on future Dodge products (aside from the Hornet) like the new Charger. Ford and Chevy are going all in on their cars (the Mustang GTD and the Z06) but Dodge keeps pumping out ads for the Hornet. I hope we get some more news about the next Charger and Challenger soon!

Why would V6 Dodge guys care as it is a 4 cylinder Turbo. Also Dodge had 3 owners and went bankrupt with the Hemi in the last 17 years where a 2.2 4 cylinder saved Dodge brand in the 80's. Love the Hemi but that is not what Dodge is all about.
How would this appeal to the v6 crowd? That doesn’t even make any sense cause v6 mfs like the v8s they either just couldn’t afford it or like the looks…

Do I love 90's IROC R/T Daytona's or ACR Neons, heck Spirit R/T's they were all 4 cyls. Guess your a true Mopar guy or not because between 71 and 05 no Hemi cars were made.

Actually is an Italian car. Also was no Hemi in a car between 71 and 05 . In fact the engine that saved Dodge brand was a 2.2 4 cylinder back in the day. Just say Dodge is Dodge. A Hemi is just a motor. I have a Hemi in my Charger Daytona but do I like say an 86 GLH with a 2.2 Turbo yes. Do I think IROC R/T Daytona's are cool. Yes. So if you just care about the Hemi then you are not a Mopar guy.

Seems Mopar heads forgot about the 80’s and 90’s. When Chrysler was saved from bankruptcy and all they had were K-Car’s, Minivans, Neons, Cloud Cars and rebadged Mitsubishis. Neither had big V-8’s but set record profits.

No, no, no, if you're canceling your V8 Challengers, Chargers, and Durangos, you don't get to show them off with the Hornet in a feeble attempt to make it seem cooler. If we want a little, reliable SUV, we'll get a Toyota or equivalent.
A round of applause to Dodge for making a rebadged Spaghetmobile.
Honestly it's a segment that is hugely popular that Dodge had no vehicles in. With the drivetrain combos they are putting in the Hornet even the base model will be pretty quick, and probably fun to drive. I compare it to my wife's Mitsubishi RVR, which is the size it's competing with, but the RVR is so gutless it's dicey trying to even pass someone on the freeway. It's basically a hot rodded small crossover, and if they can make sure the new platform is reliable, chances are they'll sell a lot of them and carve their own niche in a crowded segment. That would be good for Dodge. Give them some balance to allow room to make some serious monsters like they have from 08-now.
The vehicle is a good addition to the lineup but the commercial is pitching it to the wrong people. This style of car is not what muscle enthusiasts will buy and it isn’t what people who like the Durango will buy either. I think the car is good but the marketing has missed the target audience.
So you have a history of buying bad cars. Mitsubishi has been bad for over 20 years.

Loves this I collecting the small diecast dodge card, to see them in real life makes me so happy. Though I’m so sad the Demon is being dropped it’s was my dream car. Though I can’t wait to see what the Daytona SRT looks like.

I'm so glad this is the future of dodge. I bought my hellcat which was my first dodge I've ever owned. Been a money pit. But such a blast to drive. Been a love hate relationship with my dodge. Was unsure if i would get another after this ones done, or move on. This commercial has made the decision easy. This challenger hellcat I currently own will be my first and last dodge I own.
