My wife and I went to the movies and in-n-out for our first date. Still together after 12 years. It ain’t the place that matters, it’s the person and the date itself. If you gotta keep up with trends instead of being yourself, then you dating for the wrong reasons. Just like how that lady was in the Cheesecake Factory video.
I saw the list on the gram and comments section was hilarious. Shake Shack, who not on the list, posted "Ok, so we're good". A restaurant on the list (I can't remember who) posted "Who hurt you?". I noticed that McDonald's was not list, so I joked "Oh McDonald's is ok, cool"
what if it just going to a church to look around? like some church are tourist sites? big massive church with a history to it everyime i see benson "ad" i keep trying to click "skip ad" but it never pops up...i keep falling for this...lol
Phil, Michelle and Isaiah, The team at my place of employment splurged by going to The Cheesecake Factory, in 2015, for dinner, on a Friday. Very elegant atmosphere, good food and drinks, but outside of my price range. I haven't been back since. Applebee's, The 99's Restaurant, and The Olive Garden are a bit more reasonable. Bertucci's, not on your list, is also very good.
That's an interesting list LOL .... but I know nothing about dating in the first place. I've not ever met anyone who clicks well with me, especially in my general sense of taste in people that isn't just one of my friends. *edit: I also noticed I don't live where some of these places exist, but in a similar vein, I would say it's hard to really say anything is too terrible aside from...the Church or maybe the bar... Depends on the person and what they value from the relationship 😂
Would be interesting to know the breakdown on the demographics of people who contributed to the list. I suspect the women and the men have different ideas about what makes a worst first date location. In the video that prompted this discussion, I think the woman in question has a pretty high opinion of herself to expect something way above the level of Cheesecake Factory. Personally, I don't think she deserved the street vendor hotdog stand in Manhattan with the way she behaved. Not sure a man should ever be shooting his wad so to speak on a first date on someone he is looking to get to know to determine if they're compatible. They should be trying to find out if the basis for developing am ongoing relationship exists during the first date. I get that guys want to impress, but they should keep it realistic, too. Don't create the expectation that it's always going to be "five star" right from the start when you have a "one star" bank account. Another factor is that if you already know each other well when you go out on a first date, it shouldn't take a lot to impress a woman. That ought to give you a lot of leeway, but you probably don't want to take her to Mickey D's unless that's someplace that she raves about. Make the evening special by the way you treat her throughout the date, by doing something unique and creative (preferably something that she's really into, or at least open to exploring), and then a dinner where you can be yourselves, continue to get to know about each other without either of you feeling uncomfortable. Not everyone knows how to behave in a five star restaurant... just sayin'.
This is rare recent Lunch Break/Break Room that is interesting. Used to LOVE the older Lunch Break episodes but the recent subjects and people have sorry to say this but uninteresting….
i just found out about this podcast and it's in 4k. She is lucky that he took her to the cheese cake factory. Getting to know someone shouldn't cost more than $80.00 on the 1st date. As a guy, dinner dates add up real quick. I am not spending my hard earn money and it might now work out. For my girlfriend, i would take her out to a really nice dinner date.
I think anyone should be happy with wherever they are being taken. Ex. A girl demanding/requiring a high end first date place should also be okay with a guy expecting sex/something physical on the first date…
Please do more The Break Room episodes! It reminds me of the days when I used to watch Lunch Break.
hilarious discussion! Boba obviously a great a date spot
I love cheesecake factory so I would be very happy to go to Cheesecake Factory for a date lmao
