- How Star Wars Should Have Ended (Special Edition). Years ago the classic Star Wars HISHE caught the eye of the internet and was the episode that launched our channel into life. It holds a very special place in our hearts. But as the years passed we started seeing requests for a "special edition" since the original didn't quite match the style of our later HISHE episodes. And since it's Star Wars season, we thought now would be a fun time to give the old episode the George Lucas updates she deserves. Enjoy!

All sith and jedi have powerful protective barriers of force energy to prevent that from happening. Vader isn't excluded from this. That was never a possibility.

That's not how hyperspace travel works in Star Wars, though. :/
You can only travel to specific points in a route (the "weak points" in space/time), since all jumps are automaticly calculated by the ship, and not using the hyperspace lanes is way too dangerous, so there are safety measures so ships don't actually do those small jumps.
It is kind of "hey, we have to get to the street parallel to this one, and we are kind of in a hurry. Meh, just run through the building, what could possibly go wrong?"
I doubt anybody would take a 95% chance of actually destroying the death star just to get to where they are going half an hour earlier. :/

villanelo1987 the movies don't say that and remember the expanded universe is not canon so you can't use it to explain points. Based in the movies, specially TFA you can go at lightspeed wherever you want to go, only limited by the pilot's skills. If Chewie could land the Millennium Falcon at lightspeed, it is not crazy to think the Death Star's pilots can get it at 100,000 miles from that moon. (100,000 miles is half the distance between Earth and our moon. That is why I said that number.)
But that's all EU, which isn't cannon. And the Falcon did just that in Force Awakens, which is cannon...

I liked the old "blow up Yavin" one, since lightspeeding around the planet would likely be fairly complicated in a station that large and would likely prompt an evacuation while they jumped away and then came back.

i think rogue one made it especially clear that the size of the data
alone is not possible to be transmitted by a ship as small as millennium

they needed the antenna the size like in scariff base.
I mean if they could have transmitted the base plans from the start, then the whole chase sequence in the beginning of episode 4 didn't need to happen, because the rebellion corvette could have just transmitted it to another nearby allied ships even far away

ummm.....r2 can hold it all in his hard drive, because princess leia inserted the disk containing all the data into him, the physical disc, not by "transmitting" the data to R2. That's like inserting an external hard drive or blu ray into another computer, so it's not bullshit.

Thanks to Rogue One? No way, everyone who actually saw the original (and paid attention!) knew this right from the getgo. First during Vaders interrogation of the commander: he clearly tells him that the Empire is after transmissions that were intercepted by the ship. Then he tells Leia: "Several transmissions were beamed to this ship by rebel spies".
Doesn't all that make it plain out obvious that the Empire was capable of tracking the destination of any transmissions? Obviously Leia realized that the very moment she would transmit the plans the Empire could track them and immediately learn the location of the rebel base.
It's all right there, in the original movie, yet most people glossed right over it.
