- For some reason...I decided to play even more terrible levels. Are these levels so bad they are good...? No, no they aren't. These levels are awful.

My 6 year old has been making levels since I got him a Switch for Christmas. He is adamant that pick a path is a good level design because it "teaches" you. Like if you pick the wrong path and die, you learn not to go that path again lol

Mods should stop refunding predictions that are answered early. The people who were wrong keep their points even though they were wrong, and the people who were right get nothing despite risking it all and winning. All in the name of stopping a few people from taking a fraction of the spoils after the fact.

Dave there was a dev exit platform that I saw when you finally finished the get-the-coin-while-avoiding-the-fire-bar-and-spiky-rod level. It was in the top left and I saw it for a split second.

For the second level, i think there is an "easy" set-up trick for the pixel-perfect jump.
Run to the block, turn around and duck. Mario/Luigi/Toad/ette should slide in position for the jump.
People like Z7 should get it maybe 99% of the times. I think.
Its Dave's responsibility to clear all uncleared DGR levels.
At least you made a Bean Burrito level more enjoyable for the viewer.
The level viewer shows that the 500 sec speedrun was nearly done after that Bowser fight. His room had a working pipe that lead to a star powered run through enemies that you took to a pipe, that lead to a key door that took you to the goal.
The first level must be some glitch anomaly. Because it's good!
Yeah, I find it kind of fascinating that nearly 7000 people played that level and yet not a single person liked it? Like even just as a mistake or as a meme for a truly bad level... but NONE? Hell, the fact that 6800+ people meh'd it is unlikely too. Something had to have broken somewhere.
And with a nearly 30% clear rate, it's clear there's no jank or unfair section either.
I think it’s a direct copy of another more famous level. So it’s being booed for stealing.
There are a lot of under rated levels that needed way more likes that should have needed. Trolls levels sadly are underrated as well. What makes a bad levels bad got to be the pick a pipe, bean burrito, and hot garbage! I might eventually get Mario Maker 2 for my Nintendo switch.

At that last level, I was expecting one of two things, that DGR would get fished a lot or he'd get fished 0 times, but actually, he got fished once at the end.

Nintendo made that jump between the spikes harder in mm2. They made the hitbox wider, in order to stop people from making levels where you have to do a ton of those, but in the end they just made it worse.

My guess with the first level is either likes were cleared, but also it seems mighty familiar, I think it might be a copy of someone else's level

1 coin clear condition level contains trump jump (a jump between 2 spikes and there is only one pixel that you can survive jumping through)

the most-likely reason those levels are disliked is for being a duplicate of another level. that's the only logical explanation I can think of.
Day 5 of asking Dave when the next Mariothon recap will come out. I see a Mariothon stream scheduled for tomorrow, but that doesn't count for people who don't have time to watch streams. I'll look forward to when it is recapped!

i always get hyped everytime someone puts a sonic music on the video. thanks charis/dgr for good taste in music.
It took me a second to realize that was the Sonic song around 22:16. Only because I play Monster Hunter Rise and there is an event quest with the song that you can get layered armor for your dog and cat (cat is Sonic and dog is Tails)
Precision or less than 10 seconds levels and the trolling ones like the gazillion conveyor belts should totally be banned with enough "boos".

Sometimes ago I saw a 30 minutes level with many pipes. Where you need to go in and out many times to activate several things…
I don’t have Mario Maker but I think someone should make a level that’s pick a path BUT each wrong pick is recoverable. But there are so many options that the player has to weigh whether or not it’s worth recovering vs starting over.

Did that Bean Burrito level actually have wrong choices, or did you just happen to get them right on the first try? A level that LOOKS like tortuous pick-a-door but actually all of the choices are correct would be a pretty clever troll.
