    I had this 700 in the xp not the classic and I had the same problems, on its maiden voyage. it sucked so much fuel I dragged it back into the dealership after a weekend of short trail rides and fill ups at every gas station I could find. In fact, the jets were so big they were flooding the carbs, and the belly pan was totally wet with gas. I sat in with the owner of the dealership and worked with him in changing out the jets. I don't remember how many sizes we went down to lean out, but it worked like a champ, and it really became the beast. lots of fun with that twin.

      Thanks for watching all the way down there. We get plenty of snow here so snowmobiles are a must if you want to have fun in the winter. Plus what other machine can you go spend $600 on and hit triple digits on the Speedo as quick as these sleds.

    Rock congratulations on your second child. I’m so happy for you. I’m the first person to congratulate you. The rest of the people aren’t probably parents and me being a grandparent is awesome. Now all about the sled, nice ride I kinda like ripping the old style sleds.With having a 2015 1200 skidoo SE grand touring I cannot go back. Love the content been with you for a while. Happy new year cheers.

      @@rockspowersportsthe old f-2000 sleds. I just turned 40 not long ago and remember my father’s friends having those new and thinking they were so cool, that and leather snow suits. Times have changed but snow levels aren’t what they use to be and new sled prices have gotten up there. I’ll ride my ‘17 unless winters change.

    I was ganna say it sounded like a super rich low end jetting an flodding it on the high end. It could be that that stator problem threw sumone off so bad that they started making the pilot hets bigger thinking it needed more fuel .you be surprised of what people do. I got a ltz400 cheap and the carb was put on upside down and they sprayed it so much with either it washed the rings and lost compression. 😂 iv seen sun weird stuff people do on the machines

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  5 годин тому

      These Keihin carbs can be finicky. The mikuni’s are generally easier to tune. However any carb would run like crap with jets like I found in this one.

  • @psilver063
    @psilver063 16 годин тому +1

    So with issues in the high end seems to be a partial clogged main? Would you agree or do you suspect more?

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  5 годин тому

      Usually issues with a stumble or bog on top end would be a main jet issue or possibly a float level issue.

    Hey rock great video dude I really enjoy watching them
    . I have a question if you can give your best a opinion I would appreciate it. I just bought a 2023 polaris sportsman 570 base model. 1300kms. The bike wil start right up no problem. Idel great. Fan comes on every time it gets hot like normal.. but after an hour of rideing the engine light will just flash for a second and then want to shut off when you hit the gas like it lose power will re main to idel and at this there no light's on the dash. So I'll turn of the bike and 5 mins I'm good to go again it happen in low gear slow ruff rideing trail and 1 time just road rideing at high rpm the light flashed the bike seem to lose spark or something but keep running down the road. Thanks any feed back from you or anyone that sees this post thanks in advance.

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  5 годин тому

      That is a strange issue. Did you happen to pull the code off the dash when the check engine light came on? I had a machine do something similar after riding on hot days, what was happening was it was getting vapor locked in the fuel tank and was starving for fuel. Ended up installing a new check valve for the tank vent.
      Next time it shuts down on you pull the gas tank cap and listen for a gush of air. If you hear that gush, it’s vapor locking. If this is the issue as soon as you loosen the cap it should start back up.

    • @ryanyoung3539
      @ryanyoung3539 4 години тому

      @rockspowersports the light will flash and go quick no code it at high rmp its like a quick lost of power a second that keeps going. I will check the gas cap. Does this sound like an engine problem or electrical. It has a new fuel pump the pulg hasa nice tan color fan works it hits about 93c so not over heating it's been- 12 here for a while. It don't backfire. It fires right up. Thanks for your feedback. Does the code come up only if the light remains on. I keep the display set at tem. Do I have to scroll through to see it or do it just appear
