I just watched a very small dose of it. Scott does get the views. My more reserved and dry style less so ha! I did send a link of the video to Annie and she approved thankfully. I very much appreciate the comment! 😊 I have to ask if Clarence is the fifth Beatle.
@@myprogrockshow3025 Your style is fine...Scott's ranting and raving are a turn-off. Have you done any live streams yet? Good way to get others involved and push your viewership up. Good luck.
Hi, What a great review. From the footage it looked like an intimate concert. Thanks for showing it. A little anecdote I can share with you is that the day I turned 40, 14 years ago, my friends arranged as a surprise for me to meet up with three members of Änglagård in an open-air bar in Stockholm. Moments before my friends told me what was going to happen I was blissfully flipping through records in a used record store just down the street. When the three members of Änglagård arrived to meet with me, the first thing they asked was, what was the LP wrapped in brown paper that I had in my hand. I pulled the LP out to reveal that I had purchased Turn of the Cards. They each nodded knowingly to approve my purchase choice. It felt great, I can tell you. That was my very first Renaissance album. Nearly all other Renaissance LPs that I have in my collection were purchased whilst living in California. Renaissance must have had a huge following in the US in the 70s because I managed to find their records in yard sales very easily. My favourite Renaissance song will always be Trip to the Fair. It a wonderful haunting song.
John, that is a fantastic story and I much appreciate you putting it here! Änglagård are definitely prog pros so their approval must have made you feel almost vindicated. Sometimes it feels like you are the only person listening to such great music. You must have good friends. “Trip to the Fair” might be my favorite from “Scheherazade” which is saying a lot for that song since it is a great album. Annie’s vocals really capture the scene. I’m just happy to have finally seen Renaissance. My phone didn’t really record the real experience. They sounded fantastic in person! A very powerful group indeed.
Did you see Scott Lahhh-day interview Annie Haslam? She was a good sport, putting up with that ridiculous clown
