Now we anticipate everything, there is no more genuine appreciation like it use to be. These Koreans were so happy that blizzard went so far to have the game completely translated to Korean. I know Koreans helped Starcraft to become so big and made them lots of money. Still blizzard introduced the game in Korea.
It was so nice of Blizzard to animate him saying "Hell, its about time" in Korean instead of just dubbing Korean. It must've blown the minds of countless Korean gamers.

When the Starcraft II logo appears, I just can't not remember all the experiences that I've lived through all the years playing SC2. I miss those times when SC2 was at its peak.
I was in there, with my younger brother. At that time I was only 15. it was warm and cloudy, peaceful day. but that announcement changed everything. People gone mad and everyone yelled, talked about the next-gen StarCraft.
13 years after and I still get very excited. Awesome! I was 12 years old at that time and 1 year before I met the original game by a friend. After that, my life changed. Thanks for everything Blizzard!
I love how the guy in the background is narrating every scene to his friend on the phone. Remember this was before the era of smartphones and video chats. Love all the hype and excitement he's going through like everyone else did there! haha.
After all, I feel like I should tell you something about the situaton there: The whole stadium (!) was packed with (little) Koreans. Koreans usually don't interrupt during a show, so the noise they make is because they must be very, very, very excited! There's something about this trailer that fills me with joy. Nowadays every important game gets leaked before there's even a trailer. Back then the Internet wasn't established like it is now so it's most likely that most of the people there went without the faintest idea that SC2 was going to be announced with a trailer animated and spoken in their language. Everytime something in Korean shows up in the screen they all get super excited and that warms my heart like no other reaction does.
I grew up with Star Craft and it's story, still remember how happy I was seeing this trailer for the first time when I was a little kid. Will always make me tear up, it's a damn shame Blizzard fell so far from those glory days.
When my brother showed me this trailer live he bought me a PC and we loved that game! We got high masters in 2v2 and I miss that game now more than ever

jesus i feel old im 23 but damn i feel old i remeber being a kid so hyped about the concept art of starcraft 2 and the gameplay of the demo version and i remeber asking for starcraft i wanted starcraft 2 and low and behold i got a starcraft the original and brood war expansion set bro the disappointment at first was huge but i did say at first once i really dug into the game i loved it sure gameplay was not very smooth but it was still really fun to me. on occasion i still do play starcraft 2 i am a firm fan of the starcraft series of games.
Now this is how you introduced a NEW GAME to the Audience. I hope Blizzard gave crew whom make the video possible, huge bonus money since this Trailer announcement raise the bar.
This is really cool to see. It makes me appreciate the effort that went into the audio and sound design of the English version that much more. Although still one of my favorite reveals of all time, it still feels about 100% less impactful without the marvelous voice of Mengsk in the background.
